Back To School DIY with Sugru

today I'm going to show you some great tips for going back to school and we're going to be using sugru they're sponsoring this video and sent me some to try it's a moldable glue that feels like play-doh and overnight it turns into a flexible rubber you can use it for all sorts of things like customizing your schoolbag smear a little into the fabric of your bag then stick on a nice big blob because sugru sticks really well to itself you can take a different color shape it and stick on some detail and if you want a stick accessories onto your bag smear some sugru onto the back of the items and push them onto the bag with a slight twisting motion like this to work it into the fabric sugru is a great way to make your bag stand out and be different from the others if you want to customize your notepad or exercise books you can smear on a streak of sugru then use one of these rubber stamps to print on your child's name kids love sugru but it's not a toy so sue drew should be used with adults supervision if your zipper on your pencil case breaks you can fix it with a paperclip thread it through then you can use some sugru to make a grip if you like you can use a bit of fabric to give the grip some texture and of course if you've got some sugru left over you can stamp your name on to the pencil case as well you can also use sugru to do fun things like customize your stationery I'm adding scales eyes and teeth to this stapler to give it some real character and I'm also going to add a face to my pencil sharpener after 24 hours it'll be dry and ready to use if you've got some old school shoes which are perfectly fine apart from some scrapes and scuffs on the toes probably from playing games you can repair them using sugru and keep them going until they grow out of them take some black sugru warm it up in your hands and work it into the shoe just cover the damaged area but really work it in then take a glass of water you can add a drop of soap in with it wet your fingers and smooth the sugru to blend it in once you've done both shoes and left it for 24 hours they'll look like new again as a bonus tip if you've got some sugru left over from any of your projects you can stick them to a clothes peg and fix it onto your fridge this is a great way to display the latest artwork sugru is a really versatile product and makes it easy to adapt to customize or fix almost anything handy for all parents if you want to order some go to sugru com there's a link in the description below and for a limited time only you can get 15% off on all their products just follow the discount link in the description or use the code Dave hacks at the checkout you'll also find other great ideas for how sugru can be used or if you like take a look at my other video also featuring sugru have fun and thanks for watching
