Back To Bottle Beach. 2021

are again it's been a year exactly to the day since the last time we were down here we were driving down there and facebook said this is what you were doing this time last year exactly the same thing what we're doing here now yeah so um we're coming down to ball beach sarah's favorite plot spot it's a little bit like this i'm not gonna lie this is like a mud larker's dream on this beach it's absolutely full and i've had such a great time honestly and we've also come to meet charlotte yes who lives in the area so lucky shots he just lives here and alfie who's yes who's gone ahead of us he's got here first and he's gonna get all my goodies yeah he's got goodies for you anyway he has i'll let him off yeah so uh if you watched a live show a couple of weeks ago you would saw help you on there yeah he picked up a few things for me um yeah we're gonna go and see him now i'm gonna bring you guys over so let's go right we're here finally made it i'm so excited um just on our way to meet album just walking along a bit of the beach until we're meeting around the corner and already you can see a bit of a cup on here so um let's go and have a look at it together and see what it is right it's got writing on it finally here and first find on this little stretch of beach is a cup so i'm not looked at it yet so let's look at it together and it's a pierce pieces dining refreshment room oh farrington street oh wow well that's something that we could look up isn't it that is a beautiful first little find a cup and you know what i commend that dink that's nothing handles we don't care because we use it to put things in oh yeah a pieces dining refreshment room cup i love it what does that bottom bit say oh ellie and co some starlight is it's bartlett's buildings london wow a lot of information to go on there yeah a good solid cup mend that chip look up that see if you can find a picture of it or something and yeah a great first little find right well that looks like a pipe bowl don't know if it is i'll bring you with me can you see it i'll just leave it you should know it's generally about the center of the screen let's have a look i'll put it together it is is is and it's a pipe bowl yeah look at that one how do you know how old it is look at that one i've not got one that shape that looks old to me that looks really quite old what do you reckon that is a great little find yeah you brought me look charlotte you've brought me some luck on the estuary yeah oh that's a super find a pipe bowl yeah it's a keeper i was trying not to collect anything quite so big but you know me i make the rules i can break the rules and this is i think it's going to be a rule broken because this piece of driftwood here it's big but it's only thin oh it's got a bit of try and get that concrete off the back of it make it a bit lighter but that it's a beautiful colour and i reckon i could do something nice with that with the handles you know me clips handles mesh pottery gilding the whole works could go on that piece of driftwood that is beautiful only thin so yeah it's gonna be a keeper well this year i'm not going to take them but uh here we have shippums i've done if you remember last year when i was here i had a bagload of them because i hadn't seen them before where we where we were last year we just couldn't find any and so i went a little bit crazy and picked up tons but this year i'm gonna be so super good and they're staying there charlotte wants a piece of driftwood she said what are the chances yeah she did she said what are the chances i was taking that home and i said no chance there's a nice little yeah i know sarah likes his old little bottle so uh we might just keep that i think i'll give it to her she says i've seen something down here i don't i don't know what it is i don't know if it's back of the head or something let's have a look let's have a look together oh oh it's a body it's a body of somebody holding flowers oh what the chances of that yeah look at that a body in front of a body of someone holding a bunch of flowers oh that's beautiful tell you what'd go with that one of the um ceramic heads i've got off northern mudlax oh yeah nice little body climber no oh one of my favorite oh thank you mate no no thank you no honestly nick keep the gummy bottle no no thank you no thank you no really thank you nick now my excitement levels have gotten a little bit higher because we don't know that because the bottle takers have been into that we haven't reached alpha yet he probably thinks we drowned uh we faded off we veered off and walked along the beach which was a really bad mistake i'm not sure what i was thinking across a little bit of a patch here a little bit of a buckle graveyard and it'd be rude wouldn't it not to have a look have a little look and first oh you know what i'll bring you with me because i do what's that with a bit of writing on what is that oh that's nothing exciting a little plate that's broken that says made in england but little bottle i'm allowed to keep you pace pop but i'm not keeping you but you've got a little bit of a label read on but yeah leaving you there just gonna have a little bit of a surface look and see if there is anything exciting and i just hope that the wind isn't getting in the way too much move a few things out the way little sauce bottles uh unless it's a mason's one no it's a daddy's um because there is somebody who wanted some mason bottles little milk yeah or like that that wide neck milk little bottle oh dear i'm not even going over the top of the pile yet and there's another another shaped milk milk jar what's that about how is this so many shapes of milk little glass oh well a square one so yeah i'll keep you with me paste pop leave leave the paste pop as my excitement levels get higher to take my there's so many different shapes inside the chart isn't that just there's just tons yeah i think i might have one that shape definitely not got one a square one so that is a keeper look i've got loads of those is nice i'm trying to see beyond the bottles even though i'm just looking at them now and see if there's any little hidden gems but i do like that milk bottle i love wide neck milk bottles oh it's broken few that'll save me carrying it it's broken keep you with me sorry oyster shells yeah i do want some moisture shell so i'm just going to put these couple of little bottles into my bag and i'll bring you back as i go up to the top of the hill okay there's a nice bit of metal might be pewter i don't know could be pewter actually but that it's a nice like little stand that's trying to get my shadow off it that could be pewter yeah i think it is actually off some sort of maybe pewter glass well you know glass-shaped drinking vessel but yeah i like that i like your metal bits and have just got that massive drift wood so always thinking what can i do um yeah i can probably use that it's a lot of light bulbs around here actually just looking around what's that what's it called honey pot yeah i don't want that i don't want the honey pot little bottles come on be with me now so let's carry on let's have a quick surface look not so keen on those milk bottles those ones there don't like the smaller neck i like the wider neck it would become fussy in the old age if you remember last year i picked up everything everything and anything and then some more paste pots obviously this is the place oh the bottom of a mouse or something like that a mouse statue yeah not enough for that to take see if there's anything else up here keeping you with me oh what a shame what's that some sort of lens um bit too gnarly being good yeah compared to last year being very good have you found something i know i don't know they were thinking for aspirin and things like that someone sent me a picture what have you got look oh i just picked up have you got about a pace yeah right i do like a pastry i do i love them but enough's enough and you very rarely find cups with handles so yeah i think i'm just going to clean my lens because it looks like it's misting up right got this little graveyard here nicely put up on the thing a little what's it in the little bottle and uh milton by the look of it a melting bottle what's that what's that in there oh what's that oh it's a bit broken but quite like that gordon nope decal made in england oh now that might be worth a mend that is like i don't know like a trinket thing i don't know what that is the half of the saucer is off at the bottom there but it's weird it's wonderful i quite like it yeah i think i'd like to mend that guild it yeah there you go a little trinket candley thing yeah let's see what i can turn that into i just looked over here i don't know what that is right i'm gonna guess it looks like the back of the head but it can't be it can't be the back of your head i don't think because that side is different to this side i don't pick it up what do you think do you think it's the back of the head let's get a little bit closer that thing there hold you back in have a quick guess have a look at it that side is different to that side it looks like a neck down there it looks like hair oh let's have a look and it is it's a little head it's a little doll's head and that is beautiful somewhere i was just trying to stop the wind that it's a beautiful beautiful find a little head it's different on that side because she's got a bow she's got a bow in her hair oh that's beautiful a beautiful little doll's head i just happened to glance over at that pile and i thought that looks a bit different and it is and she's beautiful oh yes i'm sorry if you can hear any wind noises i can't really do much about that but that is a beautiful that's all fine see if we can wipe her face a little oh yeah look at and she looks happy as well happy to be found and definitely going to reuse her she's beautiful well look at that that's just my thing a bit of mesh perfect you know i love mesh and i haven't there's none left where i look back home so yeah a bit of mesh who would think that would be so exciting but that's a great find right come on you know what we'll have a little little scan together just as we're leaving because that's what happened with that doll's head i'm just trying to keep you out of the uh out of the wind we'll have a quick scour let's see if we come across anything a bit of a light bulb look like a stopper a little tiny bottle up there little tiny bottle yeah not appealing just had a dolphin mick right so yeah mick here it's a little doll's head little bit focus on hang on one second sorry a little bull's head that i found yeah but i just i just saw the back of the head and i thought is it isn't it i don't know i brought everybody with me and we sort of looked at it from behind together and then turned it over and it was a little beauty [Music] thank you what is that beast everything there what is that oh my word oh my goodness me that is a beast is it beast do i like it no i don't like it well that's what i like about it the fact that i don't like uh oh i it know i don't know what you think is that so ablation no i'm not gonna it's so ugly i would never i would never look at that but we can save that there for somebody else that is so horribly ugly i'm sure somebody else would like it right we're just walking along the beach because we've got side tracks so yeah we've got to boat um got to walk charlotte come on don't stop looking if i'm not allowed to look you can't look me if i'm talking i think i'm not looking for myself um in a straight line [Music] yeah i have stopped yeah but it looked like a nice little bit of um ceramic that can use it only probably off a light or something but i like that it's usable ceramic round thing looks like a giant button but it's not it's off something electrical i would imagine but he's certainly a keeper a little ceramic electric thing but yeah walking in straight line come on please keep going [Music] [Music] oh look oh it's broken one but it's a mother of pearl one a little bit off a little bit shiny still broken and still a super little bind button all right well done good eyes great find jealous we're trying to walk our way down to meet outfit down the bottom here somewhere everything we left without him it's hard to stop the girls from picking stuff up this hell is hell it's like a day out of shopping it's just a snout that you might be able to play on look little gifts gifts from alfie because we found him now we found him yeah he was hiding hiding behind us all along yeah look little arms and that old shoe that's all you find in the little lead figure an ah that little arm or is it poor i don't know no it's an arm little arm oh wow thank you so much marble oh wow thank you so much right and charlotte's caught up with us now we left it behind your daughter right okay right charlotte is after a frozen charlotte you're on camera now yeah some little fines are vine we've got a bit of glass a bit of glass and a stone there we go part of a button again these shell buttons you know they really these mother of pearl shell buttons sorry don't don't really last that well sometimes in the sea they get quite broken up but yeah another beautiful there's a button i do have a project for that oh it's broken but let's have a look what that was oh a little made in japan a little dish or what shame what a shame because that would have been lovely i'm not gonna keep it but yeah made in japan i just saw that bottom bit sticking out and i thought oh that could be something interesting because that was like after the war was it that they put made in japan because no one would buy anything if it was made in germany i believe i don't know where i've heard that lovely there is some lovely pottery just that i'm trying to avoid the pottery if i can i'm also trying to avoid getting the wind on this so i do apologize if it's a bit windy then we'll just have a little look on this edge a bit i'm working the way back um to where that little bottle digging bound was and i thought i'd start having a scrape there where i found the um the doll's head just having a little look along this edge bit just in case there is something exciting okay there's a big expansion i just want to work the way down there really let's just have a quick look along the edge for those things that have yet to be discovered yet to be um thrown out of the banking sorry about the shadow i've just got to try and get rid of the wind noise right off his house that is amazing charlotte man charlie charlotte you're gonna give that to charlotte yeah one that's amazing well done oh how lucky is that that's a great little find oh and i missed it what killer just shows you the stuff here isn't that the stuff here to be found because that was a beautiful little find and how kind of alfie to give it to charlotte because he knows charlotte was looking for a charlotte and that's a bit of a charlie and so generous just hidden in here i'm gonna see if you can spot it because i couldn't spot it for ages mick pointed it out to me you can't see because my shadow's in the way maybe let me just turn around that way there we go can you see very nice nice big chain there's a chain so rusted shut up nice little bit of pottery there excuse the wind around here behind me yeah it's nice china that mixture is found [Music] might be able to just about look up that make something see manufactured for harrods limited wow manufactured for harrods not much left of it but that would have been a little piece for harrods very nice and i found another one of these and i've no idea it must be off an insulator must be well sorry i thought it looked like a giant button but yeah i think it's some sort of insulator isn't it i found two but i think the other one was a little bit smaller but yeah a little hard shard very nice certainly do something with that display it because it's got a harrod on the bottom but yeah two nice little finds well i need to look for some um oyster shells because i want to make the drinking deep little drinking dishes so yeah there's a scrub on here so let's have a look tell you what first off straight away there you go quite a deep one and that would be nice with the decker patch in it sorry the deck patch in it gilded on the outside yeah put a little pearl bead on it or just a little fake pearl on it um yeah that looked nice that is a little keeper uh yeah a deep little shell now let's see if we can find some more um yeah because there's quite a few on here so yeah let's keep looking in here it just looks like it's just just not made and snapped clean get it out two pieces i think it's quite solid whatever that is in there i think it might be too solid it's a shame because it looks like it's a clean break on it as well yeah it's way too solid i can't get an hour [Applause] i'll do the glass that one i wonder if it's maybe one of them any lit things i don't know excuse the wind it was too windy for you i'm trying to keep the wind down anyway yeah i want to use one of them painted our series you know not much letter anyway something um something nick okay let's have a look a big chunk of iron there by the time that stuff remove it i know what that's off you come back here every day and find a little bit of something yeah very nice though yeah yeah definitely that's my favorite very nice is okay i think that big big stopper big thing is what i will take because that will come in handy as a little stand so yeah i think out of all these things although that is nice that is worn that i'm to take that i'm going to leave everything else okay not sure if that's the handle of something or not but just in case it is we'll have a little bit of a pull oh and it is oh look at that a toothbrush a lovely is it bone could be bone yes it is a bone toothbrush that is a beautiful little find and i think alfie's got something because he's coming towards me with that look on his face so let's see let's see if he's gonna don't know if there's any youtubers [Music] thank you yeah yeah but look at that aren't they lovely little nose oh very nice yeah and half a jack very clever very very good yeah good stuff in the middle of all all the smashed up stuff you find a full bottle i'm not gonna keep it which is like i don't know what you call a little panel bottle but yeah all this smashed up stuff and then every now and again you just find a full bottle yeah i'm i'm not going to have it but i will leave it there for somebody else because i'm sure there will some there will be someone along who will want to pick that up yeah lots and lots of smash stuff and then that odd little gem of something full we've still got a long long way to go yet so yeah come on let's keep on going [Applause] i know that might be do you think i laugh sarah [Music] yeah yeah i've seen those but also when they've got broken bits so that posture would make like little steps up to it oh that's gonna be lovely you're gonna have to send us a picture when you finished it now no have already but yeah a little like ceiling rose thing for your light but then play marvel marble is a super great find just through scraping on here it was so pleased [Laughter] bob's lost a lot of things and yeah bob's sauce that is amazing bob sauce there you go bob will be so pleased can't wait to tell him you better give it to him i have to yeah thank you very much all right okay we've come to a little bit of a bottle diggers hole on the beach so it'll be rude not to come in and have a look we've got a wide neck milk bottle here it's whole so it might be a keeper what's that there oh and a lovely little glass very bubbly glass mosaic tail just love that and what does this say this is express so prejudice express dairies that is a lovely milk bottle nice wide neck so we'll keep that and keep that as well what's that little bottle that's a nice little bottle i won't keep that because i have got lots and lots like that all right let's have a look see if there's anything else in here i've got me my scraper my wolverine scraper yeah yeah paste parts we don't collect those anymore but we'll leave it leave it out for somebody else in case they do another paste pot we must have absolutely loved the pace pots because there's just so many of them here tons of them need to find a good craft to do with paste pots i think oh that ink oh what a shame it's all bashed what a shame oh bashed yeah loads of the milk glass isn't there so many different shapes of milk glass tons of it all right let's have a little bit of scraping what i like let's have a look is [Music] i just found with me lovely little find a little vintage find it careful you don't step on a mine and it is remnants of a label but no there's no way i can read that label put remnants of a label a little tiny bottle and also this doorknob which is a great little find because you know i use those as for like mushrooms what have you what else is there there's a one of those and a milk bottle a different one actually so the other one that i found earlier i don't know what that says something right so a little bit of a collection there of a little little bottle doorknob uh milk glass and a milk bottle yeah that's a nice little pile there and just having a look on here this is the first place we came to this morning toast rack thing there's a bit of paper newspaper we'll save that for charlotte doesn't blow away save that here save that charlotte she might want that newspaper so let's stick it under and stick it under the bottle so it doesn't blow away oh sorry about my shadow i'm sorry about the wind today um i'll do my best to try and keep the wind off more paste what's jars oh nice bit of glass what color is that oh it's like a a ready orange bit of glass i don't like that oh that is that is nice can you see that ready orange glass that was beautiful oh i'm gonna keep that because i do i am collecting glass or something that was that and nothing there's a bottle like a little panel bottle but there's no writing on it so we'll leave it there plenty more paste pots let's have a look let's see if there is anything else in this hole nope i don't think there is i have put my scraper down somewhere and i don't know where i put it oh some more little oh my glass like a drinking glass oh i like it [Music] i would never make anyone drink out of it unlike unlike alex and gayle who said all their drinking perhaps never thought about that when they offered me a drink they said they've got all their drinking glasses sorry about my hair oh my all their drinking glasses from mud lights and beach combs and things so a bit worrying but yeah drink an old drinking glass i like it gonna keep it right look at that oh it's a make-a-like one that's nice i've got quite a collection of these now actually sort of an accidental collection didn't mean to start collecting them but yeah a bakelite one that's nice what's that 19 1940s do you reckon oh there's a cup just oh it might get it might get washed away to see should we see if we can save it oh look is it a cup or is this is a cup unfortunately there's nothing on it but we did save it from the sea but yeah there's a cup sticking to the side it's plain but somebody might want it what's that just making sure it's not a bob sauce yeah a baker like um lightning right i'm just gonna take this newspaper this little piece of newspaper wherever it's gone i've gotta find it now right i had a piece of newspaper there is underneath that stone i'm gonna take that newspaper let's see if charlotte wants it because they're up here having a good mooch about it's really coming in now hopefully we won't get cut off i don't know hopefully not anyway but yeah we'll just go and give this newspaper to charlotte right i've just come here to get this lid off alfie they've been finding a few things up here in this hole and just looked under here and saw this and thought it was glass i just kicked it in my foot but it's not glass it's got a bit of a dink there but that doesn't matter we don't care turn that's in the back make uh we'll fix it but look at that stoneware jar bottle water whatever you want to call it oh yeah i thought it was glass then after he went is it is it glassy short it looks like stoneware and he was right it was stoneware so there you go a stoneware bottle a little bit chipped but it doesn't matter you can't tell that way and it will be fixed that is a great little find a look at the seats coming in now i think we better go or at least further up there anyway well i'll keep it anyway it could be something anybody got any ideas what that is uh as a little postcard it'll be straight away a tiny little bottle a very tiny little bottle complete how does that happen how does that work you get a tiny little bottle like that it just lasts i don't know i'm keeping it i think i think that it's packed i'm pretty sure it is i'm pretty sure it's a pipe with some stem oh my it's a tiny one during the day oh i can't even see through my hair or anything oh it's a basket it's a basket weave one look at that and it's tiny you're not jealous anybody here you're not jealous oh oh oh oh oh oh dear i think the doctor's speaking to me now oh i found a bowl what can i say i've gone off in a hole necklace yes yes let me get my shadow about your finger it's found a bead look at that a lovely little bead you could put that one in your outfit yeah there you go see the little find well we've just got this ceramic handle not sure what it is we think it says f l no that way f l o x i think but it's handled it has holes either end to go but right the way through so and we think that looks like a milk bottle so we think it's off something that maybe carried milk maybe like a metal milk carrier but yeah even though the words go upside down that way f l i think it's f o l x something like that o f l t no i don't know but yeah a little ceramic duda and a little bit of a uh egg cup that i can use for a stand for something yeah some great little signs [Music] well we're gonna um sign in charlotte had a great day healthy great day some great finds oh yeah yeah you've got facebooks and
