Back Home & Trying New Sticker Paper!

[Music] I was gonna take the camera off the tripod then I thought you know just leave it there hey guys it's been a while since I've loved because it is currently Saturday and I last vlog on like Sunday yeah Sunday Sunday was the last day of the d23 Expo that Monday we did at Disney day and then Tuesday came home and our flights were kind of later in the day it was a bit chaotic because the first flight was delayed so we almost missed our second flight but it worked out we made it and our luggage made it I was surprised I thought the luggage wasn't gonna make it so kudos to the airport staff for being speedy so we haven't go home late it was about 1 a.m. and then the next day I just cleaned I just cleaned like a mad woman because Christians parents were gonna be coming over I had a day to get this place in order and yeah that was a wild ride but I got it done and then did some grocery shopping so I like to cook for them the first night so I was prepping all this stuff and then they came over and it's been good it's been good they've been here for two nights now so that's the update for the days I haven't been vlogging it's Saturday it's 1224 I just filmed an intro for my next YouTube video it's gonna be another subscriber mystery box so I filmed the intro where I'm standing there holding the box which is why you're still on this tripod and then I opened the box and I won't be making the art with it today but the beginning part is filmed so I can just jump into making art with it I never want to grab time honestly probably not till after Christian's parents are gone because it's gonna be a long filming session we don't live close to family so I don't want to just ignore them the whole time in film videos so I'm just taking a break from uploads and live streams and all that but I got a little bit of filming in and we've also been doing pin stuff while they've been here so Christmas almost helping me put my pins into the clear sleeves and Christian her and dad were all folding boxes last night while I was greeting pins and pinning them onto their Maxo yeah they just really wanted to help out so I was like okay we couldn't do pin stuff because I really need to get on that cuz I originally wanted to do a mid-september launch for my next pin launch but that's in two weeks so maybe three weeks into September is when it's gonna happen because I still have a lot left to do that's one of the things I need to do today is order more stuff for the launch because I still need to order more card backings I need to order more boxes to need to order the skinny ones for Canadian orders there's a whole list of things I still need to order still need to do the more mini prints and so I need to get on that stuff cuz some of that stuff is gonna take about two weeks to get here so I need to hurry and another one of the reasons why I don't think I'm gonna make it for a launch two weeks from now is because it's gonna take me another two weeks possibly longer to receive my next batch of animal pens so hopefully they're here in two weeks or so cuz I have to grade them and package them so that's gonna be a big job Kiki's getting all tangled in the curtains what is he doing child here anyway it's just uh yeah it was a nice little break for making videos but things are gonna get wild right away between the pin launch and like trying to catch up on videos and get the ball rolling again I got our pilots and emails I got to send some invoices although I'm not all that's gonna get done this morning cuz we want to do a Costco run and so Christmas parents are just at Walmart right now and then when they're back we're gonna do a Costco run I'll just get cracking on the invoices right now maybe and start ordering stuff if there's time they'll all just get as well still as far as I can go till they get back and then I'll do more once we're back from Costco then later tonight we're gonna go to URLs and we're gonna be there with a group of friends because Christians parents haven't met a lot of our friends and so we're we're I just want them to go have some food together so yes I guess I better get back to work get a few things done before Krishna's parents are back okay I'm finally stepping away from the computer that was a lot of forms a lot of invoices I found more stuff in the depths of my email account that I had to fill out full some of its related to sponsored videos some of its related to my book publisher cuz now I'm with penguin Random House for my book and I had a bunch of stuff to fill up and just emails to respond to that I neglecting since I left for d23 so it feels so good to get that all then huh you tell the boring stuff Kiki and now we can go on our Costco run so we're back from Costco it was a gong show as it always is here just it is wild Oh Kiki is at it again nice she curled herself up and they're so tight I thought she was gonna rip down the whole curtain so I had to loosen it all are you stuck love stuck yeah he's being a little pissed we live as a police are coming after you for ruining my cartridge and little maid they're like the tissue paper from the box I opened mmm nice nice nice you licked my nails Christian's mom wanted to go to the salon and I needed my nails redone anyway perfect timing it's kind of a purple color like a pinky purple with lots of glitter and I like how there are the two different sizes because initially I was gonna go with a non glitter color but this just looked good with the big chunks also okay the other day I just thought of this as I was showing my hand there I tweeted about my snow white ring and someone screenshot my tweet and posted it to the subreddit crappy design and it was the top post for it day I got a text from Christian being like you're the top post and our crappy design and I first was like what like I know my arts bad but top post oh then I read the second half of the message where it mentioned it was because of the ring I know you can just flip the ring around and wear it the other day actually tested that out yesterday but it still stabs the other side it's a little less stabby but it's still stabby and I like wearing it so that when I look at it it's right side up because when I glared in future videos I want it to be the right side up for you guys and not upside down it's in real life if you want someone else to see your sing ring right-side up make it so when it hangs down it's right side up but then it's upside down for you you know but in my case for you guys watching the art videos the ring has to be facing me said it's also right side up for you I didn't it via that reddit thing was amusing I'm just glad it wasn't because of my art there's also a whole comment thread about my name because people are like Bailey Jay and I'm like I know for the record I love my name and I also love the Coen looks like my clips are done transferring I'm gonna start editing a vlog it's 4:30 so we have a little bit of time before we have to meet up for our get-together tonight the guys are having beers so I thought hey I'm gonna pour myself a glass of wine this was the art for my last video did you see it did you like it did you love it I need validation no maybe a little this is the digital coloring which is actually pretty close to how it looked in the end obviously that white border is standing out as being different but yeah not too different at all kill ya I just wanted to plan the colors out before I committed ok start editing do I even remember how to edit anymore I don't especially not at this time of day what is it well fees for the vlog so fast forward it's now Tuesday I had every intention of filming more stuff and just forgot I haven't been vlogging much lately I've lost the habit I thought oh for sure I'll film some of our little outing with the friends no it was a fun time though we were at Earls had food had drinks and then came back to our place and just kind of had a chill night again one of those get to know the parent nights we always have those with our friends it's actually really cute though my parents are in town let's all get together meet the parents well Kristin's parents have met some of them before but others it was the first time meeting well if you like want to set you down I'm not used to holding a big camera that works you're just a little low but I'll show you what I've been doing over the weekend I guess cuz like I said before I was working on some other stuff but I've been doing more pin stuff and I'm done grading all the pins so far I'm still waiting on the batch of new designs to come in but all the ones I have are graded they're not all on backings though because I don't have enough backings for all of them so yesterday I designed backings for the new pins and then submitted an order for all the backings and thank-you cards and I ordered slot boxes for the Canadian orders I ordered the prints so there's gonna be more of the bakery print the new print and I'm adding the petal dance art as a hollow print for the store what else did I order here I bought stamps over the weekend well it was like Friday or something I ordered tissue paper six by nine envelopes and glassy and sleeves so once I'm through the papers are the plastic sleeves I'm gonna be using a glassine sleeves and thermal label paper that might be it but yeah it was sort of a backing designing day yesterday slash ordering stuff I did that after Christmas parents left yesterday so these are all the boxes they folded whoo it's quite a bit there I think it's about 150 maybe a bit more no probably 150 cuz there's I think it was three bundles then here's how this organizer is looking so far all the Dinos are here all the flower buns I've got some C grades just chilling in there some of the mermaid buns are missing backings where are those over here those neat backings those are all a grades a bunch of keiki amid no ones that need backing those are all a grades yeah the B's are down here cuz I needed three slots look I don't know how this is gonna work out with it being five slots wide cuz a lot of them I'm probably gonna need like look at the duckies they have they take up four slots I guess that is the way I organized it here but what if I need to be slots for somebody we'll see it's just a lot I feel like I almost need another one of these because I also put the prints in here I thought it would be a neat way to store them although they could all be stored in one container and put upwards like this upright wait will that fit under here oh yeah I think it mm-hmm it might just not fit if they're in a slight slight angle though they had failed because they could all be in the same container with dividers right now they're just like this because I have the slots for it yeah there are some more a grave duckies in here without backings and then a bunch of B ones so there is more work to do with those but they're graded so it should be pretty quick to package them but then all the new ones have to be graded and packaged and once I get the prints they all have to be signed and there are a bunch more boxes to full so there still a lot to do plus photographs and store listings for all the new designs also sticker for sealing tissue paper and the packages they might end up being done quickly with the square cutting or I might get fancy news my Cricut depends how much time I end up having and how ambitious I'm feeling I was looking at ordering someone Vistaprint when I was getting my business card a cycle what if I order a roll of stickers but they were still gonna be like 20 cents each when I did the math I was like this is not worth it it's not worth the time saved I'm just gonna do the stickers myself again also look at our new bedding the duvet cover we had before wasn't even that old but the duvet was and it was just that's gross I showed it in a recent vlog just how lumpy it looked even when the bed was made and Christian's parents saw that and we're like hey we want to get you some new bedding for an anniversary gift because I wanted they wanted to do something as an anniversary gift for us and so we thought yeah bedding works great we could use some new bedding so there's a new duvet duvet cover and sheets and new pillows well this is this little square one I already had I might put a different one in there because the stuffing on that one is still lumpy we have king-size pillows though we did not get the shams with this because we don't use the shampoo locations like we could have used that as our main pillowcase I guess but we just we don't use we don't do the four pillow thing even this right here is just really four looks right now usually it's pulled to my side and it's just to block the crack but when I make the bed I can put it in the middle because I can actually you know I actually have some incentive to make the bed now because before when I'd make the bed it didn't look made and so I was like well why bother also the duvet and duvet cover our super King size because before we had King and it would barely come off the edge of the bed which is annoying because once you're actually under the covers it gets pulled inwards and this becomes a wrestle for the blankets you know it's just not nice so there's a super king size which hangs down one it looks way better too it's more practical this is also just sew stuff the kiddies have been loving it they've been pouncing on it I actually have a little clip of Midna pouncing on it he's so cute she's been loving that she's been in here all morning now I had a pink silky satiny pillowcase that I used before but it was for a little teeny tiny pillow so I ordered a new silk pillow but it won't come till about Friday so for now I'm using the one that came with the sheet set but the one I ordered is navy blue so it should hopefully still match even though it'll have a different finish to it compared to the other one but it will still match the overall color scheme you know it'll still be navy we just need something up here like we need something on the wall something to decorate on the headboard I don't know on our coastal run we picked up these I can't believe I've gone so long without these I love them so much I just forgot about them they're the best thing ever and so delicious so I stopped up a year and in a whole [Music] I forgot I wanted to edit another vlog today so that's what I'm gonna do first boy do I have a lot of footage again why do I do this to update I'm still editing this darn vlog because I thought it would be a good idea to include a bunch of graphics in the section where I'm talking about this one panel Mike what if I edited some clips that Disney released a lot of I do this to myself it's not like it's anything super hard it's just you know time-consuming to find the clips I want and then Christian comes in and he says do you want me to reheat the coffee you left on the Keurig I do that all the time where I just forget my coffee half the time it just sits on the Keurig the other half of the time it's in the microwave because I forgot on the Keurig then went to microwave it and then left it in the microwave got a couple bums in here chillin relaxing enjoying the new bedspread so I've been editing for three hours and that's where I'm cutting it off for a vlog that is a long time normally I spend maybe an hour on a vlog if it's one that's twelve minutes or less it's usually about an hour and I figured that was a good place to just cut it off I wasn't even through all the footage from that day but I just thought you know what note we're slicing this down the middle I was looking at how much footage is left for that day and that could almost be its own vlog I don't know why I'm talking about this because by the time you see this vlog you'll already have seen the other ones and this is zero this isn't a relevant conversation to be having on camera I'm going to change up some of my youtube thumbnails because I was gonna do that a few weeks ago but then ended up doing something else that day so I'm gonna do that today and also do planning for the mystery box art and I know what about my iPad and just doodle some ideas of what I could make with those supplies [Music] get it want to copy Rach dragging out of stuff of all the shower songs Christian was gonna use I was not expecting that you know what let's go vlog out here cuz it could still hear it here he's got a stream playing where's the mute button construction update some of it is visible above the ground now this is our lovely view outside the front of the house yeah so today is gonna be a huge editing day for me after at another d23 Expo blog and those have been super long and I need to edit my next art video so I can go up for tomorrow so that video will be up by the time you're seeing this vlog I don't know how much I'm gonna vlogs I'm gonna be at my computer the whole day but I have some things to show you I didn't vlog at all yesterday I worked on the art video in question and I did a live stream where I worked on stickers for the packaging for orders because last time I just printed off a sheet of the my avatar face and just use my guillotine cutter to cut them into squares so I figured since I needed to do something in the live show anyway why not make it productive towards the store stuff so I did these sheets of kiss cut stickers so they're cut around the shape of the head the only thing is though my blade was cutting a little too deep and get this guy's you know what I figured it out if you were in the livestream I figured it out after the fact I had my settings on the computer like you can choose a depth for the cut but then then on the computer is also a setting to do like a normal cut look default or deep and I had it such a deep cut I forgot about that because my old blade was getting dull so I'd set it too deep so that's probably why this is cutting too deep just slightly too deep because now when I go to peel them a lot of times it's ripping off the backing that they're sitting on so it's not sticky it's just ripping the paper it's sticky if you peel it at the right spot though oh so these are still gonna be a pain in the butt because I peeled off the backing on if you notice I peeled off the backing here so that it's just sticker so they be super easy to peel off but they're cut too deep and so I want to see that one peeled easily that's how it should peel just just the sticker not ripping the paper underneath so they're not perfect but you know I'll make do I also tested some new paper but I couldn't get the cut depth right again okay I need to get out of here the music too loud the music okay because I had gotten some samples a while back from Arlen labels and I ordered a ten pack of the matte vinyl from photo paper direct because I'm having lots of issues with my glossy vinyl the cricket just doesn't read the registration marks and it's it's a nightmare dealing with it so I've been looking into alternative papers and I finally tested out my samples well not all of them because to the samples I got from Arlen labels were glossy papers and those are just backups in case they didn't like the feel of the matte ones and I would try those glossy ones but they're super glossy so I'm just I'm gonna stay away from that then there was just a regular matte paper and then a weatherproof matte and I like the feel of the weatherproof mat more so then I ordered the matte version of the glossy vinyl I currently have and the texture is pretty nice but not as nice as this weatherproof matte so I'm gonna be going with this for future sticker sheets I just need to figure out the right depth because I have only had three sheets to practice with and I cut through all of them so hey online levels does have pressure recommendations but I didn't know that till someone told me in the comments but I'd already gone through these three sheets so I couldn't even test it out but I'm also skeptical because this cut depth that told me to use is a deeper cut depth than what I used here so I don't know if I trust it but yeah in case you're wondering this weatherproof mat is my favorite all three sheets had no problems being recognized by the Cricut like the registration marks and but you know with the Cricut sometimes you just get lucky multiple times in a row but I'm hoping I don't have any future issues because it's not reflective like other paper so this could be the winner going forward because right now I just you know I want to incorporate a little sticker sheets and die cut stickers in my shop but my Cricut is just too much of a pain in the ass to to try to deal with that like it's a waste of time but if I can get a paper that works consistently well with it then it'll be more worth it and I can dive into making more stickers I just wanted to show you some of the stuff that came in the mail yesterday so my thermal thermal thermal printer labels and then my new glassing bags came in from Uline these guys so this is the new size because the one might order before normally they list the inside dimensions of the bag but the other ones were too small but even the outside dimensions were smaller than the listed dimensions it was weird it said it was 2 inches wide but it was under that what I measured it so I went with this larger size and this is what it looks like with a pin in it this is the wrong back anymore this pin but just bear with me that was the one their backing card I had lying around but that's what the size looks like I don't like though is the way this this side is longer okay if I want to fold it over and use a little piece of washi tape or something to seal it shut it has to fold this way but this is the front of the bag this back side has this flap on it and the seam here and if I fold it this way I mean it would work you just need a really long piece of tape I guess but I might not even hold them over at all to be honest they probably will just fit in there like that and then that's it I know it doesn't look super cute but it just gives them some protection so the pins don't rub against each other or against the box it just protects the pin but yeah it's not plastic we're gonna miss the cuteness of this but you know cute cute right away I like I can still see what pin it is so I'm not accidentally grabbing the wrong one or something because what I do is I see what pins I need I grab them set them on the table and then I look again and double check I grab the right ones because sometimes I might say okay grab a little ducky a tad I know but I'll grab other things I don't know when you're packaging hundreds of orders your brain just does weird things so I had a double check as much as I can so I like that I can still see through this too check out the right one it'll be quicker to feed the men titties too if I'm not stealing them because I just slip it in and that's it with the plastic ones I have to peel a strip off and then stick the flap down so this saves me some steps I guess so yeah that'll be the new packaging what's and through all the plastic bags which will be this time like I have I don't have enough plastic ones to get me through this entire order of pins so some of you will be getting your pins like this or a combination of both depending which ones you order sending here I just have more six by nine envelopes they're exactly like this right there except these ones are white there's like a dollar more to get the white ones and I just thought it's cuter from the yellow so it should be white yeah wait okay and then this little box is just more of the glassine exude well I'm gonna go sit at my computer again and I'll update you later if I have other things to bait you off so this was just delivered less than 24 hours after I ordered it this is what the paper is in case you're wondering that's the code now I'm like ooh stickers for my next door I mean if I really saw my existing designs I could buy I don't know if I have time to design a whole new stickers I'm not selling the fanart ones anymore so that eliminates most of my sticker sheets but there's a cute food one the Halloween one Oh actually that's good timing cuz how long you know I do have the male cat one but that's exclusive to the sub box people the mystery box thing I have a bunch here and I don't know what to do with them cuz they're too big for some of my boxes yeah cute food and home lean or my original art ones that's a male cat they've all designed a hella cute I mostly have Kingdom Hearts ones into my heroines way too many of them and your few Sailor Moon ones in there oh I also had the ditto one the didn't at the mill Carolyn those are there any left maybe maybe just a few I don't know but yeah these don't fit in my new boxes I think they fit in these one almost without the plastic sleeve it would just fit but also my smaller boxes I use for Canadian orders the ones that fit the prints these are too big for those so I would like to resize them so they're about the same size as my prints so about the same width possibly even a little wider if I want but just lose a little bit of length and that way it'll fit nicely in the boxes because I thought oh I can give these away as freebies too but they won't fit in the Canadian boxes so then no Canadians would get those and that would be sad also I'm doing buttons as freebies so there's only so much I can do here I have these and then I have these and that's not even all of them every order from the next back just gonna get a random button okay I got up to reheat my coffee because it's getting cold and I noticed keke up in the hammock cute cute but then where's mid mesh she's usually on this rug or in the hammock and then I thought well sometimes she goes in here alright it's 919 p.m. I just finished everything for my video thumbnail uploading all of it it's all good to go even the giveaway stuff like that I can game away it's for entering to send me a mystery box the submissions are gonna be open for a week so I have everything ready to go regarding that this was my snack while I was editing towards the end there some hummus and cream cheese with these pretzel chips is actually a very very good no I'm gonna go sit on the couch Christian got home from work about what 40 minutes ago so he's in the living room I'm gonna go chill with him oh yeah I have a confession Christiane's mom wanted to go to the Disney Store while they were here and there were Jasmine's left there were jasmine and I couldn't resist couldn't resist got together I just hadn't gotten any new dolls and so long and then BAM got a bunch of d23 most of which will arrive in November delicious I've got it on auto cuz I'm lazy who heard my planner what I've been using is my planner it's one of my mini sketchbooks because I've never used the ones that are this small so I thought it can be the planner it's about 11:30 so I'm gonna go wash up a bed I went downstairs to wash up came upstairs Midna was making little noises like you that's the biggest spiders is he fully dead was he playing dead like he's all crinkled up obviously but there he has compared to my foot Kiki kidding me tricked it present yeah can you throw out that spider I think it's dead it does let's play dead so you know I don't want to touch it I came up the stairs and he was just dead so thank you I think here's Midna who killed it because Kiki was downstairs I scream even if it's a dead spider it's a fat boy go to bed good night [Music] well [Music] who back there just dead
