Hello friends welcome to foreign one of the most asked question is how can we study bachelors in Germany so watch this video Until end so you get to know how can you start your pastoral journey in Germany do you know to study bachelors in Germany it's important that you have your school education equivalent to German school education even if it's not there is the option that you can take a preparatory College course that's called student colleague and today I am at 2DS Dresden which is a state recognized student colleague which has more than 20 years of experience and has close ties with you Dresden thank you and apart from offering student colleague courses they also offer language courses what you dressed in so let's take a quick tour of the Institute [Music] and there we have many classrooms plus this is a common area where students come here for their quick breaks after their classes and there's already a ongoing class there so let's have a quick look foreign [Music] ERS with us so sir if a student is interested to do a student colleague what is the eligibility criteria well first of all they have to have a B1 German level and also a 12th grade certificate these documents they need or levels they need in order to take the entrance test that we have with an entrance test they can also apply for us or they need them to apply for a Saxon University and get an enrollment letter they do that via only assist as soon as they have an enrollment letter and they have passed their Entrance Test they have all documents they need in order to apply for the student colleague okay so the eligibility criteria is met then what are the things that the student should do well first of all um they need to they need to find a date where they can take their Entrance Test the entrance test can be taken in any other country so India Brazil China or of course also Germany if they want to travel anywhere up front and at the same time they also need to find out at which university they want to study because before the 15th of July they need to have applied by a uni assist to the university they want to study at so this is for bachelor's or Masters certain manner is there something important that the student should know before they apply for the entrance exam yes it's very important that the students have thought about what kind of Direction they want to study in if they want to be an engineer or anything technical they need to go for a t course if they want to study in business they need to go for a w course and if they want to be something within chemical engineering or medicine they need to take an M course so these are the three Course directions that we offer at 2DS and now that we know about the courses I would like to know what are the duration of these courses well the Preparatory college is always a minimum of two semesters so um most of our students start in the winter semester depending on when they're taking the graduation before that and then they go for a winter in the summer semester very important is that they of course need to pass the semesters and also at the end the fsp test that comes out so for some students they may need a semester longer depending on if they have any kind of difficulties learning German or taking any of the other courses that they need it can be done in two semesters they are allowed to take longer if they need it and as per your experience what do you think when should the students start with the student colleague application process well that's very much dependent on the student so for example if they want to come for a winter semester they need to time it in a way that they have their B1 language levels sometime in April the entrance has they normally in their specific countries they are in April and May for the winter semester and if they take an entrance test with us in April May they will have sufficient time to apply for their bachelor Studio Studies by uni assist and also to get a Visa at the end so that they can start at the right time in September okay so now it's break time so let's quickly see what the students have to say hi girls where are you originally from we are both from Iran from Iran okay and which course are you studying we're studying an M course and student colleague so how long has it been since your year uh I came to Germany last year and I started todos about seven months ago seven months ago and about you I'm a new student here I just started two weeks ago and I really like it in here wow good to know and why did you choose Studios uh Dresden is a nice city I like it here and then 30s has the student colleague so I chose Studios okay and how about you I chose Studios because it is actually a nice atmosphere in here and all the teachers and professors are the best at their subjects so it is really good in here and how has your experience been uh it's amazing we found a lot of new friends and we are learning new things every day wow great so you found everything right from the students who are studying here and one very important question why do you think students should choose 2DS well at today's we have many years of experience 2DS was founded more than 20 years ago and we are one of the one of only two state recognized Preparatory colleges in Germany so we have a lot of experience our teachers have been with us for a long time and they know exactly what they what they need to do and how to handle the different kind of students that they see along the way we have a very proven system and we also talk to all of the other student colleagues that are in Germany to always prepare and and swinker around with the system in order for having that up to date um at 2DS as well we have no closed classes meaning that even though you don't hit a specific Mark in your Entrance Test you as long as you pass it you still have a possibility to get entrance to to Diaz and we have quite small classes meaning that in at 2DS you will be in a class from around 10 to maximum of 18 students which also means that the teacher will have more time for the single students and there will be a bigger ratio of the students passing the test at the end so all of this combined with a very tight connection that we have with Teo Dresden also enabling us and getting a good feedback from the professors attitude raised in what the students need to have in order to have a successful study at the end and being able to also not only get their their fsp exam but also have success in their studies I think that is enough reason for the students to choose to do us yes I mentioned about your Partners would you like to elaborate about it yes um we have different partners in different countries already meaning that with us you don't have to come to Germany in order to take your Entrance Test so we've set up a system with our partners in different regions of the world currently It's Brazil it's India and it's China where you have the option of going to one of our partners and then take the entrances there that helps you in the process because you will be secure that you have a position with us before you go for your travels and before you go out and to to apply for your studies and to get a Visa okay and is there anything more that you would like to add at this point I think it would be good to add our new uh relocation service that we have set up for students So based on our many years of experience we have felt that many students have problems and are insecure doing this application process so we have set up a whole new service where our experienced um Team take care of these kind of questions coming in and the students are able to get support during the application but also when they're here finding their way around getting an apartment somewhere to live and taking care of everything with your authorities as well um so I think not only for the students but also for the families and their parents helping out the students this is a very valuable service that we also provide that that's really great and thank you so much for giving all the important information that students are really looking for thank you so much for
