m [Music] [Music] good morning everybody welcome back it has been a while since I filmed because we just had the craziest week in the world ending with a tornado we are okay but our town got kind of messed up and it was like literally a street or two over from us I think it's the next street down but I mean it's not like right across the street but I think it's like the next street that you can take across from us down the road a little bit um is where the tornado was we had to hide in the basement with the kids we had to wake them up go in the basement my parents were here it was crazy but thankfully we're okay um and thankfully no one was seriously hurt in the tornado so that's always a good thing but I am getting ready to make some dinner I am so happy to be back at home normal this week home cooking homeschooling home making all of the home things because I have missed it I have missed it but the first thing I'm going to do is get I have two arm roasts that I'm going to put in the crock pot so I'm just getting those seasoned up with salt pepper and garlic powder real quick if you can even hear me over my mixer I have two loaves of sandwich bread going I have my washer going it's loud in here so I don't think I need both of these for dinner but what I'm going to do is we don't really I got this at Sam's Club and we don't really like it for dipping our chips it's not bad but it's not our favorite salsa so I don't want to waste it I did it came with a pack of two and the one that we open I actually gave to my neighbor um and so this one I'm going to use I figured I could use to like cook things with so what I'm going to do is make like cooked shredded beef like salsa beef and then I can use it for things so tonight I'm either going to make tacos or taquitos or something with the meat and I was thinking I would go ahead and use most of this and just make like extra and freeze the rest that way I can pull out for another quick easy lunch or dinner or something so that's why I'm making two full ones of these although I don't think I quite need them all like I said what buddy can you open off yeah hang on just a second and then also I cut up an onion so I'm going to add that and I'm just going to cook this on low all day and then shred it up pull out the bones things like that so I just put it on there for 10 hours it's not going to quite cook for 10 hours but that's just what I put it on for now in a little bit when it Cooks down some I'm going to go in and kind of mix it around a little bit when I have more room um but this will be for eat at home dinner day five so we started on Saturday so Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday wait four no we started Friday we started Friday cuz we went out to dinner for graduation Thursday night and we started Friday so Friday Saturday Sunday Monday today's Tuesday we are on E at home day five I've been trying to share on Instagram but I haven't been the best cuz we've been super busy and we were out of power for almost a full day so um it went out the night of the tornado and then it was out most of the day yesterday and didn't come back on until in the sometime in the late afternoon so um yes this will be and when we're where we live we have no service on our phones if we don't have um Power and internet we have no service so I couldn't really share anything or do anything um but yes eat a home day 5 I'll talk more about it after I shower and I can like show my face on camera and all of that um but eat at home day five here I'm very excited very excited I'll have to tell you our goal and everything and now I'm just going to let our bread dough rise for about an hour or so hello it is good to see you all I did shower but I did not feel like doing my hair so I put it up today just I just kind of want to relax but at the same time like be back into my normal routine of cooking and taking care of things I feel like when there's so much going on and you're so busy the only thing you really want is your routine back you know you get so tired of cooking every night but then when you don't and there's all kinds of stuff going on it's like for me the first thing I want to do is cook again it's so weird um but very very very thankful for that week it was insanely big busy but it was the best week I mean it flew by I feel like my parents got here and then they were gone and they were here for I think 5 days but I I feel like I hardly saw them I mean I was with them the whole time but I feel like we didn't really get to like spend a lot of quality time like you know connection time together because it was just so busy but I mean we did all the busy things together but it was just you know it was beautiful though it was such a good beautiful family busy week I mean it was one of the best weeks we've had in a really really long time so all that being said I'm very excited as I said to get back to normal to have a much slower paced week to breathe I mean last week it just flew by it was I just can't even get over it I cannot get over how amazing it was but it was over so quick at the same time anyway we had a wonderful graduation a wonderful graduation party another wonderful graduation party we attended I mean it was just it was amazing so we are back today is Tuesday I was going to film yesterday my parents got up and left yesterday morning I was going to film all day but we had no power I mean nothing like we couldn't do anything all day so I didn't end up filming anything um because there was nothing to do nothing to film so I didn't so we are back today um I am getting ready to switch laundry when I'm done taking this video and then our laundry will be done for the day I am so behind on laundry I didn't do one load of laundry the whole week like the whole time my parents were here nothing um because it was just so much In-N-Out busyness I didn't even have time to throw in a load of laundry that's how busy we were um so we are very behind on laundry so I'm glad I got one started today and and um we have school to do today we were supposed to do school last week but I ended up switching the break cuz we just didn't have the time to do it so we're going to do this week and then um that's about it Gary took my van to work today so we aren't going anywhere we're just going to stay home and do our normal things today um making bread I want to make some energy balls today if I get to it I get to it that's great if I don't like I don't have to but that that is thing I'm going to do today I have an Azure standard order to share with you it's very small it's not a whole lot but I got some things for Lila so I'll share that with you in a little bit it is downstairs I picked that up Thursday so Thursday we had graduation and when you place your Azure standard order it just tells you the Sunday like it'll be this week it'll tell you the Sunday that it starts with and I'll say it'll be sometime that week you have no idea what day what time nothing so I knew it was going to be last week but I didn't know as I said what day or time so then I got my order confirmed like they don't tell you until after it ships and it's on the truck when it's coming and it said it was coming the day of graduation at 2: p.m. and I was like oh my gosh so then two it's like 1 1:30 and I get this email and it says urgent truck driver had a flat tire time is now pushed back to 3:15 and you guys like it was getting really close at 2: from for me to be able to go pick this up and I'm like oh my gosh 3:15 is really going to be hard and I like everybody I knew couldn't go pick it up for me so I'm like super stressed about that because we're in the middle of trying to get ready for graduation and I was graduation day was like 90 something degrees and so I was trying to wait until after we got done with this Azure standard order for me to come home and shower because I didn't want you have to help at our pickup I don't know if it's like this at all pickups because it depends depends on who the drop coordinator is but at our pickup we have to help unload the truck and it's 90 something deg and it's the semi Tru and I mean it gets hot you get sweaty moving all the stuff around so I didn't want to shower get myself fully like in graduation a nice dress all of that makeup done hair done go unlo this truck and come back looking like a hot mess so I was like waiting and I'm like okay 2:00 I can get home I can shower it's going to be like boom boom boom but I'll be able to do it and when I got that email it said 350 I'm like oh my gosh I'm not going to have time but it ended up working out it was fine we got there at 3: to help unload because they want you there 15 minutes before just in case the driver gets there a little bit early um and so at least our Drop Like I said I don't know about all drops that's how ours is they want you 15 minutes prior just in case the truck gets there a little early um so we got there at 3: and everybody was leaving there were like three piles of things left and I was like oh my my gosh and she said don't worry don't worry I didn't have time but the truck driver got here at 2:30 we got it all taken care of and I was like I feel bad we could have been here at 2:30 we were sitting at home just like waiting to go I mean we weren't doing anything we plan on being here at 2:00 and she was like it's okay I didn't have time to get to everybody because he got here way before and when he got here we just started unloading she said nobody helped unload it was us the coordinators and the truck driver and all this and I was like oh my gosh you could have called like I would have been here and she was like don't worry about but so it ended up working out like we got there and we got to pick up our stuff and just get in the car and come home so anyway graduation done it was beautiful and now it's back to real life so like I said bread today eating at home today oh let me tell you about that I know I've been talking forever there's a fruit fly flying around um we I asked Gary the other day he had been at work and we were texting and I said what do you want our eat at home goal to be and I had a number in my mind and I was thinking 200 days cuz at first my goal was 100 we made it to like 166 I think after my goal like we just kept going and so I asked him what I wanted our goal to be I was thinking 200 and I wanted to see what he said before we like I wanted to see what his idea was and so he wrote back I think 150 and I said okay that that sounds good I was thinking 200 and he wrote back and he said haha that's actually what I had in mind but I was a little bit worried that it was a little bit too much and I said okay so our goal is going to be 150 but it would be great to get to 200 so we are on day five today and if you want to join our eat at home it's just this fun little thing that I created that I challenge you challenge ourselves to eat all of our meals at home breakfast lunch dinner snacks dessert coffee all of that anything which you would stop for normally where you could save a little bit of money for the month instead of paying for your coffee every day make it at home save yourself5 six $7 I don't know how much coffee is cuz I don't buy it and it adds up put that little bit of money towards your car towards your house payment towards like whatever um and just see how much money you can save so I did start this before grocery prices Rose a lot and and so when you were eating at home you were actually saving money now with grocery prices people are like isn't it cheaper to go out it really might be if you're a small family it might be cheaper for you guys to go out and get dinner for us it's still not because we have a lot of people so for us when we go out to eat and it's you know $100 I can feed us for multiple days on $100 versus us going out to eat now it might not make sense if you're a small family or a single person or whatever um but for us it does make sense so we're going to go and we have a day a goal of 150 days um if I can then push it to 200 that would be even better uh but we have 150-day goal so we shall see but you know I didn't look ahead I didn't look to schedules I didn't look to anything to see what was coming in those 150 days I have no clue all I know is this past week we couldn't do it I wanted to start as soon as we were back home so like I said we went out to eat after graduation Friday through now we have not gone out to eat once and so we are on day five and we will continue as far as we can go and I would love for you to join us and if you do share if you have Instagram share your meals on Instagram I share ours and in our stories and I will share yours in your in my stories too if you want that way we can all keep each other like going and you know all that fun stuff so it just helps to see other meals give you ideas and things like that so I'm going to go ahead and get on with our day and now that that I've talked your ear off cuz I haven't seen you in forever and I missed you you guys so now it's time to go get some school done and all of that oh I also need to make breakfast that too I don't know what I'm going to make I need to figure that out okay so breakfast today is just a little yogurt parfait some bananas and some chicken apple sausage now it is on to some school for the day [Music] our chickens are now coming all the way up here it is so funny and our ducks look there's a little duck in the bath well not anymore but see they come from all the way down there I love it like what you got what you got let me see [Music] so I just threw together a quick little second breakfast is kind of just a little snack today so we have cashews some cheeses that have 0% lactose so hopefully we'll be okay with this and then some blueberries and strawberries so her stuff it's not allergy she's not allergic to this stuff she has a high what was it called high something sens it to it so she could have this stuff it's just better for for her if she does not now she's been doing 100% better her symptoms have improved her everything has improved she's like a new child keeping her off of it for a while by keeping it out of her diet which is what the doctor recommended that we do for a while it's I'm telling you what it I wish I would have known all of this so much long like longer ago because it has helped her so so much it's such a miracle so this is for the little three ashleen already took hers in there because she just woke up not long ago and she's hungry so um she actually has a little bit more she has a sausage and all of that as well so she's combining hers Al together also she doesn't my uh jeans just got caught on the handle of the thing right here so I was like pulling out the drawer when I was moving away um so yeah she doesn't have Celiac or anything so I know a lot of people comment and they're like well you should do this or this or this because of cross-contamination so I don't have to worry about cross-contamination either these are not life-threatening allergies these are just very high I can't remember what the word was that was used but some kind of high something sensitivity so by cutting all of it out she has it's just amazing the results um so yeah we have our GI appointment next month and we're going to learn more and do more and talk to them about what we've been doing and things like that so it's all working and it's a miracle and it's so nice to see her feeling and doing so much better it is so so so wonderful so now that they're sitting down eating that I think what I'm going to do is run downstairs and show you what I got from Azure standard real quick so yeah when I say that she can't have Stu have stuff is because that's really what the doctor recommended technically she can have these things it's just best if she doesn't so I mean she can eat them she won't get anaphylactic reaction she won't get whatever but she's going to feel a lot better if she does not have them and under the care of the doctor he recommends that she does not have them so when I say that she can't have them that's because what the doctor said can't she yes but will it make her feel awful yes so that's why we don't give it to her but that's why I also don't absolutely need things out of the house because it's not going to kill her if she has a bite here or there I just don't give it to her now at all because I don't want her to feel bad and if she has a bite here or there accidentally she will be okay it's just removing it completely from her diet is going to help her overall feel a lot better is what I'm told so um let me go ahead and get everything I have everything out but our down here is a mess because we lost power for so long yesterday and we were hooking up the generators and stuff so the stove is pulled out from the wall and like there's just stuff everywhere so let me kind of get a couple things in the same spot okay so here is everything that we got most of it is for ilila but a couple of things are just for everybody um to be able to use because we absolutely love this organic strawberry jam so I got two cases of it this time and I'm telling you my kids abs absolutely love it it's really really really good and I got I think they were on sale so we already took one of them upstairs but that's for that and then I got chopped dates cuz we love to snack on these and like throw them into salads or just like a little trail mix or whatever that we make so we got that I got her some CA flour to be able to make um all kinds of stuff so just gluten-free things so we got that I got some nutrition nutritional yeast I got some allergy free white chocolate chips or allergen at free white chocolate chips for her just in case I don't really have plans for these but sometimes every now and then they're something that I want to make that calls for these very rare and now I can't really use them with her so I got these some Arrow root powder some mini sweet dark chocolate chips and then I got her the allergen free milk chocolate chips and then we got some pelium husk powder and ho cuz some of the recipes that I've looked at at red calls for this stuff so I just wanted to go ahead and have it on hand and then let me show you what else we got I got two 25 lb bags of buckwheat flour so I need to find something to put some of this in upstairs so I can have some because it is gluten-free flour and I want to be able to use this for her so I got two bags of that so we should be set for a while and things that I need for Leila so between all that aure stuff all the stuff I got at Sam's Club Walmart and Aldi what was it last week or the week before um we are set and I do not plan on grocery shopping for a long long time minus fresh fruits and veggies and milk like things like that but other than that I don't plan on doing much grocery shopping at all because I've spent way too much money lately on I feel like I really had to like restock our kitchen after we learned about all of Leela's stuff so being able to provide what she needs to feel better I needed to spend more money because I needed to have things that she could have so I went out of like budget to go ahead and get her everything that she could have that way I don't have to worry about it and I can make her feel better and all of that stuff so I went ahead and bought so many extra things that like normally I wouldn't but now I need to um but I kind of bought it all at once so it was here that way no matter what I plan for us or for the other kids she could have too so now that we kind of have a base of everything I'm hoping hoping hoping I don't have to go back to the grocery store for much besides fresh stuff and milk so yeah I'm hoping now if we need stuff obviously I'll buy it but if I can get away with not buying stuff because we have other things then I won't you know what I mean so hopefully here's saving some money now that I had to spend a lot of it now on to some math for Miss Ashlin here and then we'll take a break for lunch and then group subjects and I think that'll be it for the day [Music] for lunch today the kids want some grilled cheese on the new bread and we still have a tray of veggies left from the graduation party and I also got this dip from for the graduation party like to go with the vegetables and stuff so we're going to have veggies and dip some fruit because we still have fruit that kind of needs to get eaten up um and then grilled cheese and I'm actually going to have some chicken salad on lettuce for my lunch but the kids won't grilled cheese so I'm going to work on that the pan heating up I need to slice up the bread and get everything else prepared and I'll show you plates so I'm having chicken salad lettuce wraps with some fruits or with some veggies in that fried pickle dip and the kids all have grilled cheese with some fruit and veggie I mean just strawberries and veggies and dip but no dip for Lila now the after lunch we're going to work on Bible and then history for today so we'll do all of our Bible then we'll move along to our history lesson and then we will be done with school for the day [Music] so I just went downstairs to pull out stuff for the next two nights for dinner I do not have a meal plan going I don't think I'm going to meal plan quite yet I'm just going to go through what we've got in the freezers and pull up stuff so I had no clue what we were going to have for dinner tomorrow I knew tonight I was going to do the beef cuz I pulled that out yesterday thinking ahead so today I'm like hm what are we going to have tomorrow I pulled out two different things so up here we had a small I kind of looked up here before I went downstairs so up here we have a small pack of chicken breast it's only three breasts so I was like I can make something with it if it's kind of like chopped up mixed in things but I'm not going to be able to use that as chicken for everyone so I just went downstairs and looked oh and I forgot to show you something that was in the freezer from Azure too so I'll tell you about that in a minute but I pulled out this sweet Italian sausage so and this five cheese tortillini and then I also pulled up some pie crust and I'm thinking and I have mixed vegetables up here so and the chicken so we can do chicken pot pie one night and we can do the cheese tortillini with like a meat sauce with um the sweet Italian sausage that night so what I'll do for Leila that night is give her this sausage with some sauce and make her gluten-free noodles and Wilder and then the rest of us can eat the cheese tortillini and then um the chicken pot P night she'll need something totally separate cuz she can't have the chicken she can't have the pie crust um so I'll figure that out later though what I'll do for her I don't know yet um but those will be the next two nights I don't know which one's going to come first or whatever but at least I have tonight and the next two nights covered so the other thing I forgot to show you in the Azure standard order are these for Lila so I got one box of this it's the dairyfree cheddar and then one box of the dairy free or no I'm sorry two boxes of the dairy free cheese the mozzarella and then one of the cheddar I don't use the cheddar often but every time we do pizza or anything I do need to use the mozzarella so I don't plan on ordering from aure for a while so I went ahead and grabbed um two boxes of these just because it works well and I just wanted to go ahead and throw it in there so that's in there I forgot to show it because it had already gone in the freezer but that's all that we got that was cold and so that's why when I was showing you everything I just completely forgot until I just went into the freezer and saw it and I was like oh yeah let me show them that I just came in here and Shred up all this beef so that'll be ready I turned it off and everything so that'll be ready for when I make the Taquito I think I am going to make taquitos tonight a [Music] so we're going to make some Mexican rice so I need a cup of uncooked rice in here Ash so if this is one qu how many of these do I need for a cup four I need four of those in there just need one and 1/2 cups of chicken or beef broth I have beef broth here M look oh nice is this the rice that you like always make always the one that you eat I mind I've made it before you so I need 8 oz of tomato sauce this is 15 so a teaspoon of chili powder a teaspoon of garlic salt and half a teaspoon of cumin and I'm just going to put this in the instant pot on the rice function I'm just going to stir it around a little bit I also just pulled out the fat I wasn't going to leave that in there but I just needed a minute to do it Dad it's storming just out of nowhere it wasn't even supposed to rain today and it's like crazy pouring the wind is or the rain is going down sideways across up down everywhere y but it's also bright like the sun's starting to come back out yeah there's a rainbow it's in our yard the kids are so excited if it wasn't storming like thunder and lightning I let them go out there but we can't go out there in thunder and lightning guys where if now there's a double rainbow so these are two gluten-free rolls so I'm going to do lilas and Wilders in these without any cheese or anything in them and then I'm going to put cheese in some of them but not cheese in all of them and I think one is probably going to be fine for both of them I can't imagine either one of them eating more than one of these so I'm going to cook theirs first so I'm just cooking them up in a little bit of avocado oil so up here we have ones with cheese down here we have ones without cheese so I can keep separated here's dinner tonight I just cut mine in half I mean we still have more but I figure I'll eat this one first and see if I need any other food before I get more so I'm excited for this Dinner's Done animals are fed I'm cleaning up but I'm also getting stuff out to make breakfast tomorrow I like to set it out for myself for the morning I just feel like it just not that it's like saves much time cuz it doesn't take that long but I just feel like if it's sitting out I'm more likely to just go to it and start it than I would be if I were to sit down and like whatever cuz then I'd be like well maybe I won't make it so I don't know it just helps it helps a lot but um I'm going to be making some breakfast in the morning and and dinner was delicious it was so good and I packed the left the leftovers for Gary for his lunch and then all that left us with after that after we ate and then his lunch is one regular and one gluten-free uh Taquito so um Lila and Wilder ended up sharing one complete one so if we want to have lunch tomorrow they can share again and then we'll have like one more if somebody else wants that but it ended up working out really well so anyway I will see you guys in the morning with another new video it was
