[Music] [Applause] [Music] hey everyone welcome to the captain drone YouTube channel my name is Steve and in this episode I want to show you the best ready toly fpv kit on the market for under $300 us now a lot of times people don't like it when people on YouTube say the best because they think they're trying to sell something but trust me this is the best but there's one cat I must express to you and that is that this fpv kit is not designed for people with no skills if you have no hand eye coordination this is not for you this is because this is a true fpv kit there is no beginner mode so you must learn how to fly fpv but right now let me tell you about the Drone which I think is the best part of this kit so in this kit which is right here you get this carry case and everything else you get the dra Knight now the dra Knight I made a full video on this an entire video on this and I'll put a link to it up here this drone is not your grandma's drone it's made out of carbon fiber and aluminum so it's extremely durable and it has 10,000 KV brushless motors it does have an elrs receiver in it so that's long range it does have a camera up front that is analog but a pretty good one and it shoots out the back the video signal at 400 m which is decent it does come with two batteries and you get two pro batteries they're LiPO batteries two cell with an xt30 connector connectors so none of those goofy little tiny battery connectors on this it's the real deal it's under 250 g and it's actually quite quiet but as you'll notice there's no prop cards on this do not fly it indoors if you're a beginner this is the transmitter that comes with it it is elrs firmware version 3 pretty decent it has all the buttons in the fpv hobby that you would use it is Wi-Fi Bluetooth as well as elrs it does have the ability to put other modules on the back so if you want to put Crossfire on this or something else a 4 in one module you can the joysticks feel half decent if you look through the plastic there's two 18650 batteries in there so you don't have to buy them they're included it's a Pro Controller game style controller it will work with any elrs drone on the market and the last thing I want to say about this transmitter really quick is that I have reviewed this transmitter by itself in a video before along with the included dongle it comes with an elrs dongle so you can play Flight Sims so right up here that's my full review on this you know this is pretty decent I've done full reviews on this on this and now they're together in a kit and of course you'll need fpv goggles to fly and I will say the goggles would be the weakest point of this kit the good thing is they're very small I'm just going to give you the benefits first they're very small they're very easy to use they have all the buttons you would imagine on this they're rechargeable there's a battery in it they have something other goggles don't have and right here you can adjust the focus so if you're nearsighted or firesight it you can adjust the focus with these two dials on the bottom however it's not for my eyeglass prescription because when I put these on and look through here and adjust it so that it's for farsighted people which I am it just doesn't go far enough it's still blurry a little bit out of focus I can see if I squint like this but I don't want to be flying around going like I just ate a lemon so for that reason in this video I will fly with my fat shark analog goggles and I will record all the video inside there's a DVR inside which is why I say this is a weak link because there's no DVR in here you cannot record video in these so that would be the only downside having no DVR in the fpv goggles other than that they're great the image looks really good oh and since they're so small they don't weigh very much so on your head you don't even notice you're wearing them all right what I want to show you next would be my indoor flight with this little guy as well as my outdoor flight so check this out and then come back to me indoor flight of our dra KN I'm not going to fly with these goggles on because I'm indoors and there's no prop cards and I can't see too well through these so I'm going to smash into the walls and my wife is going to be very upset so I'm going to fly with my fat shark goggles which are old analog goggles I don't even think you can buy them anymore but there is a DVR inside so I can record the video to show you the flight all right I'm going to take this little guy and I will stick it on the table behind me back there plop the goggles on and let's go fly now if you look at my screen I've modified it so that it makes sense to you at the very top is the name of the fpv Drone below that is the video transmission Bandon channel so race B one and I'm shooting out at 400 m go below that it tells me my battery is full that's lined because I've already used this battery you can see over on the bottom left I'm at 3.91 volts and uh over on the right is the temperature happening and then a way down in the bottom right is my signal all right so let's power this on it's getting a little warm I've got an angle mode and going up and forward there we go let's go through the house whoa missed the wall there you got to be careful with this thing it's got too much power so now I'm coming back to me I have nowhere to go here oh I left my door open so I'm going to go down this way and go around one more time and then I'll come back and land if I don't crash it to the couch whoa I'm trying to go slow but it's just my nature to go fast all right so I'll go land it in front of me someplace right over here there we are so that's the indoor flight now I will say for newbies do not try that okay let's do an outdoor flight I'll put her in Acro mode air mode there we go let's see if the video gets better my fat sharks uh have some weird colors happening with them so here we are just going down the the street this is a pro drone so expect pro quality performance I'm taking it nice and easy just to show you the sun is right in my eyeballs when I'm going down but if you want to do cool things like speed up and go whoa in slow mode you can it's really good for that let's come on back down let's go this way here oh people at the bus stop got to stay away from them it is early morning let's go around this way it's very fast you can get this thing going extremely fast there's no doubt about that coming back and uh yeah so what I want to do next is you can see this camera is 400 m there are some people walking stay away from them 400 m uh output of video power but my fat sharks because they're not 100% compatible I get these little lines on the screen you're probably seeing it as I'm recording this so what I want to do is put uh a little camera on the front of this thing and fly around with an insta 360 go-to which is quite heavy so let me just bring back and I'm going to change the modes so you see how I'm flying here I'm going to go into angle mode watch this angle there we go so angle is usually a mode whoa get away from the tree angle is a mode that usually beginners will fly in I'm just showing you that here actually I should show you all the modes here's angle mode here's Horizon mode next one there's Horizon this is uh it helps beginners a little bit because as you release the joysticks the Drone always comes back to the center see as I'm doing this as I'm moving the joysticks The Joy the Drone comes back to the center so it's pretty easy for beginners to learn a little bit uh on the fpv hobby but uh angle mode is probably where you want to start so let's come on back I find it very hard to fly in angle mode and Horizon mode because when you're flying fpv uh for a long time you get used to those other modes all right so just come on down over to me I'll land it on the grass over here someplace right about here so this is my insta 360 camera you can see it's quite large but I'm going to put this on here I don't know if you can see this so the camera is on top it's just held on by two elastics that's what I usually do when I put little cameras on small drones all right so I just want to show you that our little drone is uh powerful enough to lift that camera plus the battery and fly around it's getting pretty windy out here but uh let's fly it with this heavy weight cuz it is a powerful little guy all right here we go try not to crash into people so let's put an Acro mode where's my Acro and we should be in no that's angle mode hang on going to go in air mode keep it nice and smooth low to the ground watch out for the cars here now you should be getting good video back because we're because I'm showing you the video coming out of the insta 360 [Music] Goto I'm just going to stay on the road for a bit there's a person walking so I'll go over this way little bit and come on over this way it's early morning everybody's going to work everybody's going to school so there's people out everywhere and I have to watch out for them coming this way going around this way still people at the bus stop I think so yeah over there got to stay away from them come down the street coming back to me over here over my house through the trees and come on back this way should be a really smooth flight and try to avoid the human and come on back this way all right so let's bring it on down it was just to show you that you can oh and you can still do little things like this even with the extra weight no problem let's bring this down I'll land at this time in Acro mode got a little bit of weight on the nose so it's going to be a little there's more people coming and let's go over here and there I am Brak down nice and low and land on the grass right over here there we go all right so you're back to me and if you were impressed with how this thing flies cuz it is a pro drone it does all the things that a pro drone would do well then let me show you what you get in the kit for your money check this out this RTF kit comes in a really nice carry case opening the carry case you'll find your drone your transmitter fpv goggles battery battery charger and accessories first item would be the dra Knight opening the dra Knight case you'll find everything you need such as the Drone the battery holders the external camera mount and spare props and documentation amazingly this drone only weighs 45 G inside the case you'll also find the transm which comes complete with two 18650 rechargeable batteries a USBC cable is also included so that you can charge up the transmitter an elrs flight in dongle is also included and finally a neck lanyard is included next you'll find the fpv goggles and they are rechargeable a USBC cable is provided to charge them also an AV cable is provided that you can modify yourself here's a diagram showing which each of the wires means and if you're still lost the manual is provided next you'll find two batteries and a battery charger each of the batteries is a two cell 720 mAh lightbolt battery with an xt30 connector the battery charger comes with an AC cable designed for your country and the last items in the kit are a prop removal tool micro Philips screwdriver and some documentation so I've made this video in two parts and at the end of part one which you've just watched I'm putting the links to this kit this product below these are the links go check it out and if you want to buy it buy it now if you buy it please watch part two part two is coming up right now because in part two I'm going to show you everything the kit doesn't tell you because it's the real fpv Hobby and you have to know certain things so part two's coming up all right so welcome to part two I'm going to try to keep this short when you get your little drone out of the box the props are not on it they are just the type of props you push on but you have to put them on correctly so that they're turning in the right orientation my props are kind of messed up because I've been flying this for a while but it is a props out type of situation that means the two props in the front spin this way they go out so if you look at how my props are on the Drone itself that's how they should be and if you're new to the Drone hobby every time you put a prop in this orientation on this arm it means the one that goes on this arm is exactly the same orientation so this one will match this one the first time you power on your goggles you just press the power button hold it down for 3 seconds and then release it and then you'll have an image in the goggle so let me bring that over you should see the image you might be able to focus but there it is that's what it looks like in the goggles when your eyes are on the goggles it's much clearer and closer right to your face but say you don't have an image all you have is white snow well on the goggles if you look over here there's a button here it's called search press on the search button for a second let it go it's going to search all the bands and channels and find the signal coming out from this of course you have to have it plugged in and sending out a signal next thing you have to know about the fpv hobby is if you plug in your fpv quad and then you go pick it up it's pretty warm and it's getting hotter that's the video transmitter it wastes an awful lot of energy and heat out the back when it gets too hot it's going to shut off you'll have no video signal so you cannot dilly dally around you have to plug it in and then fly within a minute or a minute and a half don't go any longer than that or it's going to overheat and not work another thing in the fpv hobby you can never arm the quad that's your arm button down here this one at the bottom you can never arm a quad if the joystick is not all the way to the bottom speaking of buttons I guess I should show you what they do on here so this switch here is your modes button when you have it all the way down you're in angle mode in the middle you're in Horizon mode and all the way up you're in Acro mode don't fly in an Acro mode that's not for beginners beginners you'll fly in Horizon or angle this is your arm the motors stop the motors so you press it once the motor spin up press it again they stop on the opposite side this is your beeper button press it once the Drone will beep that's in case you lose it you want to find it just press it it will beep and the switch on this side the bottom portion does nothing the middle portion does nothing but when it's all the way up now you're in flip over and crash if you make the mistake and you leave that switch up you cannot arm the Drone cuz it thinks it's in flip over and crash mode so it always has to be down the only time you ever put it in flip over and crash mode is if you flip over and crash and you're upside down this is not a good drone for flip over and crash I don't know why they included it cuz there's no prop guards so these props will spin on the ground and chew up your grass and get caught in something but if you ever end up upside down switch that little switch up flip over and crash then you just move these joysticks the motors will spin it will flip over like this take that switch off so you're back into arm mode and then hit the arm button and you're flying oh one thing I should show you is in the kit you get two battery holders let me pull my battery out those are the included batteries they're really good ones too by the way so on the bottom of my drone I've attached the battery holder you can see it right there it's a piece of 3D printed material so in your kit you have two of these of various sizes I think they're two different sizes you just squeeze it together the little Arms Reach Out you hook around the carbon fiber frame it only goes on one way and then if you want to keep it there permanently you screw on the little arms that stick out speaking of that in the kit you do get another little item to go up top on the very top up here so you could remove this portion and put another portion on that will hold a little camera so I'll show you how to charge batteries so this little charger that's included will charge 2s and 3s batteries so the batteries with your kit are 2s and it charges them via the balance cable this is the balance cable here this thing with the white top so that cable I just plug it in like this there we go it's plugged in right at the back like that and then all you do is you plug this into the wall you'll see the lights on it it should light up and say lipo if it doesn't say lipo press the switch down until it does say lipo and then it will charge up for this next segment I have a camera here and it's pointing at my laptop so what I'm going to show you is how to set the video output power and what's on the display that you see in your goggles in betaflight configurator so you'll need a laptop or a home computer for this and you have to download betaflight configurator I'll put a link below this video where you can find it then in your kitchen will have a white cable two of them actually one will have a USB C end on it and the other one is a USB type A I believe it is and if you take a look at your drone on the very bottom right where you would put the battery you'll see a spot where the USB type A goes plug this cable into your little quad there we go we're going to make this quad talk to our laptop so I've done that I'm going to plug the other end into my laptop so what you're going to see on your laptop screen in betaf Flight if everything's connected you're going to see your drone and as I move the Drone around around here you see it moving around on my screen a big green arrow means that's the front of your drone so on the left hand side of your screen go down until you see video transmitter right down here so I'm going to go down and selected video transmitter there we are over here it says this is your band right now I'm on Race band channel one and that's my output 400 when you get this it's usually at 100 I think or maybe even 200 so set it all the way to the max if you want 400 if you're going to fly outside and then you have to hit the save button down here so let's go down to the right hand corner hit save so now it's set at 400 m so it's going to get hotter faster so you have to fly quicker it's also going to use more power out of your battery and you're going to get less flight time but you'll be able to fly a much longer range and if you're flying indoors you can fly much farther with the signal going through all the walls next thing is is what the heck do you want to see your goggles my goggles have all been set up by me so all that information you saw on the screen I set that up so right above video transmitter is OSD let's get that go to OSD you're going to see a big screen of what it looks like so right here you can see it says dra Knight up here and you can see I I'm in angle mode all these things everything you want to see on your screen just put a blue check mark beside it down this area here so this lists everything that's possible to be seen on your screen put a blue check mark and that's what you'll see on your screen just make sure you hit the little save button down here hit save Tada and then we're done and when you're happy with everything make sure after you hit the save button you hit the disconnect up the top right it's disconnected pull the USB cable out and the Drone will go dead but at least all the savings are now saved in the flight controller in this drone if something goes wrong do it again next thing I want to show you is using the dongle to play a flight Sim first thing you have to do is bind the dongle to the remote is not bound from the factory you have to bind it in order to bind the dongle you have to put it in bind mode and the way to put it in bind mode is to add power to this dongle three times now normally I would do it just plug it in and out of my laptop and do it but you can't really see it on screen here so let me grab a power supply okay I've got a little power bank that's going to provide this with power so I can put it in bind mode you do not need this just do exactly what I'm doing and pretend this is your PC or your laptop you'll see you're going to do this three times and on the third time you leave it in to put it in bind mode watch so you go three times so you go once lights come on pull it out twice lights come on pull it out three times don't remove it leave it in lights come on it should be in bind mode now now let's go to our little controller here and then we're going to hold down the bind button on the back and I'm going to hit the power button just like we did before to bind up our little drone so hold it down and then I'm going to release everything release Let It Go solid white it's solid white and there we have it what you want to see on the dongle is you don't want to see the red lights flashing they'll only be flashing in bind mode but they should be solid when and everything is connected so I highly recommend you set up your dongle with your remote and go fly a whole pile of fpv Sims until you get really good and then try the real thing and if you're looking for fpv Sims just go on the steam networks in other words type in Steam and games and it will take you to a website create an account you might have to pay for a lot of your simulators or you might get some free but at least you'll have simulators that you can practice on and get really good on so that finishes part one and part two of my review of this new product by hglrc I'm pretty impressed that they put all of these components together in a kit that you can buy for around $300 us so links to this kit are below go check it out heed my advice and if you're a newbie to the fpv Hobby practice an awful lot on a simulator before you get out and fly this thing in the real world cuz you'll poke your eye out I'm kidding I'm kidding but it is a really good kit you'll have a lot of fun with this and uh it's made really well but I will say just like every other fpv drone on the market if you crash a million times with this thing or even maybe one or two or five times you might break something on it that's important like the antenna the video or whatever and then you know you're going to have to learn how to fix it so try not to crash or make sure you fly over long grass that's nice and soft so that when you crash into it life is good all right guys thanks for watching this video and if you enjoyed it please give it a thumbs up and uh the links once again are right there go check it out check everything you need to know about this drone go watch other reviews see how good it is how what other people think butth thanks for watching this one catch you in the next video till then I say bye I paid it SK and left my mind they were your design I roads that won't take me home me to your
