AWESOME Big Redwood Removal and Mill Job

you you Mudd no bounce that's good that's good the tyro yep Plus okay let's suck her out of here first yours unfortunately the tree is leaning back you night this redwood tree that we just took down had a double top I wanted to show you here as I just split the top where they were the union was as you can see in here this whole area is decayed and there is some discolorations and decay in between the two of these so the likelihood of this tree splitting apart was very very good if not now it would have been in a few short years we see where the two of them came together that was the cut directly underneath this and if you read this this is very very weak all the way through here Jhoanna 15-ton bottle debt now because the log is at an angle milling is really difficult so I want to get it up so that it's as close to being level as possible otherwise the mill is cutting downhill on one direction and I'm fighting it uphill on the other side and it's a real pain to do that so we're going to try and get a couple logs up underneath it here well two and a half hours into this and we have raised it about six and a half inches built a beetle to help push these wedges in problem as it goes up and then sinks back down every time we push it up it goes a little bit further down we'll get it we'll get it if to use a piece of steel in there because the jack actually pushes into the wood of sinking into the ground okay that's what we got milled up from the log and the log is gone so we did pretty good we got quite a bit this pile over here these are all twelve footers and we've had how many board photos there's fourteen of them there are twelve feet long those are two by eights so yeah so in 1842 and an 18 board feed on this pile over here the big pile over here is seven out of ten board feet 710 four feet over there cut all your one by fours and we've got how many board feet of that one two hundred and ninety-six board feet 296 board feet you know clear redwood goes for four to five dollars a board foot and a lot of these boards are dead clear some of them are just absolutely gorgeous some of them got big knots in them so that's what they call run of the mill and here's what happened to all the rest of the wood then we chipped a lot of the wood and a lot of the brush this everything you see here all the chips all from this one redwood tree so it all got recycled
