2 weeks after harmonic convergence Republic city is still recovering from the battle between Kora and unatu the spirit Vines have spread all over the city creating pockets of Wilds which Spirits call their home as the Avatar Kora tries to wipe out the vines but fails as they grow back faster and bigger destroying a building so REO Republic City's president banishes her from the city mysterious things start happening since the spiritual world is now connected with the real world we see bumie tenon's brother starts to bend air the gang learns that people around the world are beginning to spontaneously develop the ability to air bend meanwhile a dangerous criminal zir escapes from a remote prison thanks to his own new ability to bend air Kora and tenzen decide to rebuild the air Nation by finding all the people who have developed air bending and recruit them TR across the Earth Kingdom with Team Avatar and Jora tends and finds that most of the new Air Benders are not willing to uproot their lives to join the new Air Nation although they find a first recruit in Kai A sly young Thief trying to escape Earth Kingdom authorities meanwhile Z years on a mission of his own he helps liberate gazan an Earth Bender from his prison and then both of them free the armless water bender mingua they form a new group called The Red Lotus and their purpose is to abduct and kill the avatar elsewhere an elderly Zuko from Avatar the Last air bender travels to the North Pole where the last member of zahir's gang is being kept team Avatar arrive in bossink say is part of their search for new Airbenders and receive an ambivalent welcome from mating the queen of the earth Kingdom who is of the belief that Avatar a inuko manipulated her father in his time on the throne and build Republic City cor reluctantly agrees to a tax collection effort on the Queen's behalf in order to gain her cooperation fighting off Bandits with assami during the mission but upon their return the queen claims that there are no air Benders in the city meanwhile Kai leaves the group to pickpocket and while looking for him Marco and Bolan meet the family of their late father they learned that City's secret police the DIY who are now more firmly under the control of the throne are capturing new air Benders and even captures Kai and throw him into prison filled with air Benders they're told to serve in the Army is Queen's first airbending regiment at the North Pole Zuko the new northern water tribe Chiefs desn esca and corus's Father Tom Rock visits a here's last imprisoned comrade his girlfriend and a dangerous fire bender Zahir and his team arrived at the North Pole and an intense battle between the two teams takes place Zahir faces off against Tom Rock while MinGa fights Desmet and Esa and Zuko battles gazan mingwa easily defeats the twin sisters and goes underground and manages to free P was a third at just like combustion man from Avatar the Last air bender P uses her explosive fire bending to blow everyone away and they escape and BOS sing say Marco and Bolan tell everyone about the Queen's plan to keep the air Benders so janora uses her spirit technique to find K and realizes on their way out they face off against dadly members and the Earth Queen but everyone manages to escape tenzen gives all the air Benders an option to travel with him to the Northern Air Temple while the others search for more air Benders team Avatar arrives in zalu which is a city entirely made of metal but Lynn refuses to come along they are welcomed into the City by iway a trusted adviser who has the ability to detect seismic changes in people's body when they lie he takes the gang to meet suian who is revealed to be Lynn's younger half sister who haven't spoken to each other in 30 years and mother of opal another air bender back at Republic City another Airbender named yoru joins the airbending group at night Ka tinson sister realizes that it's actually zir and tries to apprehend him with water bending but Falls unconscious after a tough battle while Zahir leaves on a glider who knows about kora's location while cor Lars metal bending from sui in also known as Sue Lynn confronts memories of her youth as a young police officer she was scarred by Sue while apprehending her in a crime scene and their mother Toof covered up the incident before sending Sue away and resigning as police chief Lyn finally decides to confront her sister but it turns into a huge fight and after a violent confrontation the sisters reconcil with one another meanwhile Zahir and his crew escaped Republic city after a small car chase with police we also learn that Zahir has the ability to enter the spear World which helps him ascertain the Avatar's whereabouts in zalu Bolan also starts learning metal bending alongside Kora while opal leaves for the Northern Air Temple at night Zahir and his team infiltrates zalu and attacks Naga korus polar bear dog and captures her but team Avatar backed up by Lynn and a group of metal Benders surround the Red Lotus and Zahir is separated from his group Len and Su is decide to drop from the sky to rescue Kora and as soon as they drop Bolan stuns ply helping the sisters save Kora Zahir Tri to get to them but fails so the Red Lotus Escapes in the subsequent investigation Kora and her friends discover that Sue's advisor II has been eating Zahir and his group but he escapes through a secret tunnel later with the help of Sue team Avatar sneaks out of zalu without telling Lynn to pursue the Invaders Naga follow s IW scent and brings team Avatar to the Misty Palms Oasis they follow IW to his room and find that he has entered the spirit world so Kora decides to do the same she sees I and Zahir talking Zahir throws IE into the fog of lost souls and then talks to Kora about the goals of his secret society the Red Lotus in offshoot of the order of the White Lotus they want to overthrow governments in service of the ideological belief that chaos is the natural state of the world Zahir communicates with his friends to find Kora as he stalls her time talking to her as zahir's allies close in a battle commences between the two groups Bolan and Mako face off against MinGa and gazan who are deemed too powerful for team Avatar and both of them get captured meanwhile Asami fleeing aaga with kora's body is captured by the Earth Queen's forces on Route by Airship to bosing say Kora and assami escaped from their cell but crash land the airship in the desert working with the Airship crew they escape a massive desert animal and arrive back at the Oasis in BOS sing say the Red Lotus proposed to exchange moo and Bolan for Kora to the Earth Queen after hearing of korus Escape they attack and defeat the DI and Zahir uses his air bending to asfixiate the Earth Queen to death the Red Lotus destroys part of the city's inner walls announcing that the city belongs to the people and Chaos breaks out Zahir frees Marco and Bolan and gives them a message for Kora at the Oasis assami and Kora meet Tom Rock who came with some allies Zuko and Lyn as the inner city of BOS singi is looted and raised and riots and fires spread throughout the outer city Mako and Bolan help their family escape the fire and they all travel back to the Misty Palms Oasis they tell Kora that Zahir intends to kill the air Benders at the Northern Air Temple unless she surrenders to him Kora decides to enter the spirit world to talk to Zahir but she meets iro who calms her down and encourages her to protect and maintain peace cor uses the metal Clan's radio to contact tenzen just as the Red Lotus attacks the temple tenzen resists the Invaders with his siblings while the other Airbenders attempt to escape tenzen faces a great challenge as he fights against Zahir while his siblings battle against mingua and gazan the Defenders are overpowered the Red Lotus throws C and buom off the mountain and subdue the exhausted and badly beaten tenzen meanwhile Jora and the other Airbenders try to avoid pul so Kai decides to distract her and everyone uses this opportunity to cross the bridge but he gets attacked fortunately he is saved by a baby air bison cor agrees to give herself up to the Red Lotus to save the air Benders she contacts the here and they decide on a meeting Spot while moo along side Bolan and assami go to the Northern Air Temple the rest of them go to the meeting spot hiding under the clouds as Kora surrenders Marco calls out that Zahir has already removed the hostages from the temple so Kora tries to escape because Zahir broke their deal Lyn and Sue join the fight with other metal Benders and battle against P Tom rock breaks the string lines holding the Airship blocking any kind of Escape Sue uses her metal armor to subdue Pie's explosion which kills her Zahir throws Tom Rock off the cliff who is saved by the metal bender and escapes with the unconscious Kora using his Newfound ability to fly meanwhile at the Northern Air Temple gazan traps team Avatar and tzen with lava and fleas with MinGa but they escape successfully thanks to bolan's Newfound lava bending Kai shows up with the baby air bison and helps them safely escape the temple the Red Lotus tortures a chain cor by poisoning her with Mercury in order to force her to the point of death triggering the Avatar State before they kill her which would end the cycle of the Avatar's rebirth Kai brings everyone to the place where he saw the air Benders and they rescu them Jora uses her spirit technique to find Kora however a wrathful Kora overpowers her captors as she enters the Avatar State she follows zir Outside The Hideout and starts fighting him in the skies an intense battle takes place between the two and cor almost defeats the here but the poison kicks in and she falls meanwhile Mako fights against mingua and electrocutes her he and Bolan narrowly Escape gazans collapsing the red lotus's lair on top of himself as Kora is about to succumb to the poison janora leads the Airbenders to pull Zahir out of the sky with a massive air Vortex formed from their combined bending zir is captured and Su metal bends the poison out of Kora saving her life two weeks later in Republic City a weekend wheelchair bound cor watches tends and anoints Jora as an airbending master and rededicates the air Nomads to a nomadic life of
