I'll just fire Bend real quick up get a sneak peek right there I love it that's that's that's exclusive there I know where this will all lead but the one thing I do know is I'm the Avatar who is the most like their character it's definitely it's good right here but Ian's very close too yeah yeah like I got to live with Ian while we were shooting and bro kept me so positive and happy during like some of my like most stressful moments and I think that's a nod to like actually Saka looking after a and uh qara the original Animated Series has such a huge dedicated fan base how do you approach the responsibility of of portraying these characters with reverence with uh with respect I mean we're all fans of the show now and like we were all fans before and then Gordon was like not born yet so like when he got the role he like made himself a fan and he loves the show so I think like it's just awesome to be able to like try to do it in like real characters and then you all go through these you know physical transformations to really embody them when you first saw yourselves in the full get up for the first time how what did that feel like and how did you react I feel like I kind of went into shock a little bit cuz it's so like it's so real when it when it's actually on you and you're actually looking at yourself like in this character and it's just like kind of you just kind of don't know what to say I it kind of took my breath away yeah cuz I think it was um the fitting was the first time like I saw myself in like the parka and stuff and I was like there's no way this is real we when we got our head shaved we were both like oh my God we're bald well well partially bald but and uh I remember you you also got your haircut and it was crazy cuz you had long hair it shaved off the size and gave you a little warrior wolf tail and you're just like oh I know yeah I had this really long hair like cuz they told me like not to touch it for like 3 months or something like that and I was like wow I have a ponytail right now and I never thought that would happen but it that was like the most transformative I was like looking in the mirror I I had the fitting before too but I had that long hair but once I got my pony my wolf tail yeah I was like oh man this is we got the ponies in the back yeah well like honestly for me it was um during our camera test when we had first worked in the volume they had done a camera test for each of our characters and set us up in our own um backgrounds and environments so being on camera feeling the lighting and the intensity um it it that's what honestly got us all into character like the putting on the costume and like physically moving around in character was incredible yeah watching and that sweat bead roll down with no hair to catch it feeling the Ponyta smack the back of my head when I'm running there's a lot of big action sequences and fights and also the bending element of it has to be a whole training in itself what was that like yeah we did a a boot camp like before we started filming for around like two months um just like training every day and going over movements and like learning our like martial arts forms and stuff um so for me I was learning taichi like a taii woou mix um and um just basically like trying to get my body like stronger to like hold these forms and like my legs like like we really built my legs to like be able to hold these things because you're in a horse dance like and you're not only like in a horse dance in a fight but like filming it too so they're like okay just stay there like hold that and you're your leg shaking no it's so true it's so true 4 minutes later come on keep going yeah what would you say the biggest differences or new elements are that are elements introduced into the the show there are differences and that's like kind of like unavoidable like that's just what what it is but I feel like we did it in a way to still pay homage to the original but just make it our own you know and like kind of just like take that path of like like tweaks not like changes you know what I mean yeah yeah um like just to give it a new life you know a new a new outlook and make it more real too yeah it's like that a similar runtime to the first season of of the animated show so like we kept I mean I think everything that we kept the fans are going to love like the same through line um but yeah just like when you add it to a real life element um it is really cool and it makes it its own like its own unique thing with uh totally breathed by the Animated Series M yeah certainly in like the relationships between all the characters um like there's some things that you can't you just can't adapt so um Albert did a great job of making those changes committing to them and making them work so beautifully in our show MH like reality is just the biggest part of our live action like we actually get to see what a is going through and what Zuko is going through and what s and and guar are going through and it's all just a real perspective from real people and it's incredible I'm going to save the world with my friends time to fight
