AUTUMN MEDLEY #2 Mixed media tags from a collage sheet

[Music] okay i've cut them up and i know the reason why i didn't like these is because they felt shiny from i think i used mod podge on these and i didn't like texture of them so what i'm going to do is i'm going to sand them down okay and see what happens and i'm going to cover them brayer gesso over them okay yeah they're really shiny i just i don't like it so that's what i'm going to do i don't mind what comes up okay because not everything is going to be stuck down perfectly especially when i go against everything but we shall see what happens so i'll go ahead and sand all them down and get that shiny bit off and then let's brayer them with gesso maybe put some inks on the top after that that's better okay i'll go ahead and do all those there we go so they're all just like i said all sanded down okay let's spray those put a bit of gesso on here already um that's the one i've used today i use all different size swords i i literally get them when they're cheap yeah okay that's it um while that's here i shall pray music paper pull that off okay okay so they're all gessoed and i thought i'd squirt some ink around and see what happens i'm gonna do them all together and let's see what i can get in the camera i think i might be able to see most of that okay i'm not gonna be too fussy about it not on this layer i'm just gonna have a play what have i got i've got wild honey shabby shutters some vintage photo and i've got some of this it's like a peachy color i'm not i'm not sure what that'll do it's a glimmer mist from tattered angels that one so anyway see see what happens um yeah i think i'll i think i'll stick with those colors for now i'm just looking at i'm looking at my ephemera at the moment and just having a sort of look yeah let's see what happens i might need a little bit of bronze or something like that not sure but anyway we shall go let's start off with the latest one this one's not the ball bearings that's outside isn't that not something that's no ball bearing in that one i'm not worried bit of that um let's see what happens with this very similar to the wild honey actually so it's okay i'm gonna get a bit water yeah i definitely need a little bit of contrast in here so and dry that off yeah definitely need some you know this sort of rusty color so it's taking a while to dry so i'm going to put it on here that's quite yellow really isn't it okay we don't want spring we're not there yet [Laughter] okay what i'm gonna do now is swap things around just so i don't concentrate um the same ones all the time okay let's see if i got any rusty hinge right i haven't got actually got anything like that but i've got this the mica spray i haven't used i don't know what i've used this one i can't remember and i've got this but i've definitely got no like rusty hinge or anything like that oh that's quite dark so that's all right i'm hoping that it will um react with water because i'm in trouble no that's not too bad actually oh yeah yeah it will okay that's great that's fine okay i just spritz it with water and then i'm just gonna sort of do that okay and then let's do something like that so yeah that's cool and the same here let's turn that around okay like that i'll make sure you put the bronze on this one see what happens these these sort of spray so it'll come to life once they're dry no it's that sort of thing i'm just gonna tap a bit out of the middle there let's see what happens this one a tiny bit more water yeah let it run okay yeah that one's a bit enough i sort of let it drip on other things as well okay like that but definitely needed that it was too sort of spring-like really i didn't use a backing paper today did i this one um i quite like i'm gonna dry that off and just add some other bits and pieces with that bit of something that's they're quite nice just gonna and that definitely what i've used together does look a little bit rusty now so that's cool okay all right get those dry i might actually do that get some of that on there first because as you know with distress inks and that it does dry a lot lighter this is looking nice okay all right let me dry that this bronze is look starting to look really nice so i'm gonna put a bit on this one all right so they're all nice and dry um i'm gonna put a little bit of fire red on i know you get purples you get all i mean rainbow colors don't you in autumn but i'm sort of staying within the kit if you know what i mean so and then like this one here is a little bit flat looking so i would get a stencil and a sponge um i've got fire brick there okay which is quite nice and that will warm everything up you know and i'll just sort of do it sit there and a bit down here i always think uh geometric designs look good over things like this there and i love that okay so that will most probably need sealing um i have some of the tim holtz stuff yeah so i didn't really want them all the same but i'll do one more of this shall i do that on the big one i'm going to do that on the big one leave those two i might think of something else later because i'm not doing them all i'll just do a couple up today because i don't know where i might want them so and up there and if you need to move down you can match up this one once you get it i think that's there okay just put it down there yep i like that okay yeah i mean purples everything right there's quite a bit on there now on that one so shall we just do this should we wet that and then put it onto here see what happens again it's just sort of playing i'm gonna actually put a bit more on that something might happen something might not i've got gesso underneath so it most probably won't work and just transferred a bit you know nothing really but nice if i had that spray i'm going to go mad now i am this is really dark what is it gosh now that is dark okay and then i'm gonna go do that okay so if we can transfer any of that a little bit not much yeah that's another layer so that's okay and here this is stopped a bit sudden there so that's cool that reminds me of a bit bark for some reason and when this is dry and then gonna add a little bit of red onto that i'm quite like that i might just just do a little bit of red down there so yeah i think i can do that now yeah that's cool that one i'm leaving shall we little bit down there a little bit of a hole there there we go love it okay and then we dry enough place that get some mop up paper makes it look nice and old eventually there we go i've used this one a lot i love it it's my favorite it used to be the swirly one and that's this geometric design i seem to be using it on everything right before i do this one okay i actually do fancy adding a bit of water so and i do really like that one i've got one there's there's one here's a bit wishy-washy not sure about okay so what i will do is i'll spritz this yeah just a little bit okay just to break it up it was about right okay i'm liking that okay so i'll do the other one a little bit a little bit okay okay so this one is looking tiny bit too dark in the middle there so i am gonna do a bit of that okay break that up and i'll get my this just let it do its thing okay and dry that i'm liking that that's great okay so that's that one what's that one it's in here that's gonna be i think they look great okay and then we can decorate this one's just gonna be a big journal card yeah this is any understand paper so these can be backed onto card or whatever you want off there right now this one um it's a little bit wishy-washy so i'm going to go back over with the red and i'm going to use this one i'm going to cut some butterflies out and heat emboss them okay and honestly you see they will look great so i've actually got oh no okay do some more of this okay okay yep and then spritz of water because i don't want to i want it like this but all over if you're not means though i don't want the perfect pattern look let's do that all right let's see if i can get the butterfly yeah i think i'll do that i'm just going to couple butterflies out of this one and i'm going to heat and box it it's not too thick so i can't get it in any way i'm trying to get as much as i can out of it so what i'm going to do here i'm going to keep some a negative so i'm going to get rid of that all right come on all right we've done it and i think they'll look nice back to in vellum yeah and these are going to be heat embossed so i've got a few negatives here keep that bit because you never know you might need that for something wait until this you see the my name the heating boss they just come to life they really do yeah i like those yeah i shall do them up in a minute let's i'm gonna heat emboss those first okay oh yeah i got vintage beeswax um don't forget my my one of this is mixed with like the thick ultra thick embossing powder as well so yours might be a little bit different a vintage photo to mine not a lot i just mix a little bit in sometimes and stuff okay so leave them bay this this will break off in a minute that's no problem i'll put it over there so i'll go ahead and do all the rest of those and come back to you when they're done all right so i finished all those now you can see how cool they look um i did take another one of these because i really liked i had a little bit left if you remember and i'd done one this one here the little one because it was only a tiny bit left and i loved it so much i wanted to do some more little ones so i took that yeah and then that was the little pieces of the butterfly relief ones yeah and i'm gonna what i'm going to do let's just say peel that off um is i'm going to stitch around in black and those and maybe put um an eyelet down the bottom or something not sure yet but um yeah they've worked out beautifully i mean when you think that's what it was and then that one was you know a little bit boring wasn't it but so a little bit flat looking and that certainly doesn't look flat now these have worked on shape these up and if you crack them you just reheat them but yeah they've worked tight great i love them there we go okay so right i'm gonna do up a tag now these are all go i'm going to do those in a minute sorry the ink's just drying so i couldn't do it until that's dry so i'll leave them go these are go in my little pot i'll put them in here actually all right i'm gonna use them through the journal i gotta do some dangles too right that's all right you've seen me do loads of that and the little round ones from the kit so i'll be doing those um right i think i'll do this one up how much way um it's speaking to me that way really straight you can't really tell when it's um maybe a little bit out not much though but it let's tears a little bit my eye is terrible because i see it can be a meal out and i'll see it you don't see it always when you're cutting sometimes but you do i do after so just line that up a bit okay right what's it gonna do i'm gonna i've cut that the leaf out of the kit and that's gonna go there and i do need something that's you know because it's very similar colors so i'm going to i've lost my big piece of sponge oh there is i'm going to ink up the edges here and i will be stitching around as well so good at this beautiful paper from rachel from roxy creations her packs are absolutely gorgeous i've i have shown the video of them before and honestly it's just lovely love her stuff and some nice receipts in that last time of course i haven't brought them in here yet because i'm i'm scanning a few in i don't actually sell them as is i just use them in backgrounds of my you know with things on the top now do we want this flat or do we want that up a bit um that's going to go sort of there isn't it i'm going to put that there that's about right do you know what i'm going to do i'm going to put a hot glue gun on for that then i'll lift it up a bit okay while i'm doing that i'm going to put some of this washi tape at the top put a purple in that right so are we going to have something at the top or not should we have something plainish see what i've got i don't think i've got any coffee stamp card here yeah i'm gonna have that i'm liking the look of that lately this is quite thick actually it might be too thick yeah just she might be too thick i should be alright because i'm thinking that i'm gonna back that anyway i do fancy that there actually i'm gonna get through it's hanging around there put some flex and stitching around it there and then these will just come a little bit higher that's gone cold already that's amazing it's great i'm going to still stitch that okay lovely all right i'm going to stitch around that one um i need something to pack that in let's get rid of these following me again they really are that's really thick that's too thick right okay let's go and find something there we go it's all done okay i'm back to the back okay i usually just go over it a bit you know what i mean to grunge it up a bit and get too much and spray it or water that's okay okay that's number one right i'm gonna do this one this really grungy one how big is that one that's quite big okay um right okay right i've got these leaves i've had a couple of years i've got i've actually got two packs i've got those ones i think they were from the works okay for a pound i've had these couple years so but i'm sure they sell them over here so i love this this color here and i think that's really lovely so i might only just use one i'm going to use one of these but i got it say around that in a minute and something like that and that maybe some washi tape or something down the bottom here i'm not sure but i'm just gonna go and sew around that one actually i'll sew in the mall while i'm here all right and then um let's do this color here that's really nice with this green down here so that is great put my hot glue gun on okay and i think i'll put this down here with the two brads in that i'm gonna have a little bit of this lovely paper again just hold that up there lovely should wait for this to dry really but i wonder what that is it's an ice pick [Music] yeah it's pretty good for things like that i must say i'm covering the back anyway so a little bit of tape over them okay now do another one of those and then stitch all around around it and then i'll come back okay here we are they're all done that's done rather yeah and there's the back i just spritz a bit of water on there and i also spritzed a bit on the back that one okay so that's that one i'm gonna do one more i'm going to keep the big one in case i need something big a fair pocket in the journal i don't know yet so i'm going to keep that bit i'm going to do this up i think and i do want to use some more of these leaves but i think i'm gonna go sort of um like that i think three on there i think like that and then maybe this saying about my favorite color is october something like that yeah but i'm going to stitch around this one first and put the tab on and then um yeah that's right that's what i'm going to do and then on our back it as well okay that's got these cards that i back it with so i don't want to stitch um over the leaves and they're gonna be sort of poking outside of the tag a bit so i might a bit short oh a little bit that's right cut that off okay so i'll go ahead and do that and i'll be back in a minute there we go that's that done and then we'll stick the leaves down that way oops two there a bit squished down now i haven't squished them flat i've let them wrinkle a little bit because i think that looks quite nice and then um what washi tape has that orange is nice do you know what i'm gonna do in a minute i'm gonna stitch over that black stitching okay i'm gonna do three i'm gonna do short one longer one and then another short one there once that glue is set i think that looked quite nice then there we go okay i really like that one actually that's cool right so there's that one that one there and that one with the few elements from the kit okay i hope you enjoyed that that's getting me into the color scheme and i'm looking at it and i'm thinking well yeah we are definitely there it's definitely you know everything's toning in nicely so great okay well thank you very much for watching and
