Hi guys, it's Alston. In this video, I'm going to show you how you can install AutoGPT within
your Windows operating system. This is going to be a step by step
instruction with all the program links and how you can easily get started using
AutoGPT because it is trending everywhere. Okay, let us get started. First, we are going to need
couple of programs which is free. You don't need to pay for that programs. First, we are going to need to be
installing Python within our computer. In order to get started,
go into the link which I provided on the description and click
on Download Python button and it will be automatically starting
up the download process. And I'm going to download it right now. You can see it's downloading
through my Download Manager. If you are not using it,
it will be downloading directly. Once that is done, click on Open and
you need to press on Install Now. But before that, make sure to add
Python exe to the path as well. This will help up with running
that AutoGPT for the installation also. I'm going to click on install now and press yes, and Python is
successfully installed right now. Now, we need one more software
which is Visual Studio Code. This is also free and I have provided
the link in the description. Click on the Download for Windows button and it will be automatically starting
up the download process for you. You can see for me,
it is automatically started the process. First, we need to wait for this to finish. These are the two softwares. According to my testing, you can use others' option as well,
but this I found it easy for me. So once that is downloaded, I'm going to open up the installation
set up, and this is the set up window. I'm going to click on accept
and click next and install. Yes, next. And if you need a desktop icon,
you can add that as well. And once that is done,
I clicked on install. Now it's installing
the Microsoft Studio Code for me. The Microsoft Visual Studio Code enables me to run AutoGPT with
Python really easily. I'm not going to launch
Visual Studio Code now. Finish it. Now I need to go into the GitHub
where the AutoGPT is located. And you can see there,
a lot of discussion, a lot of changes, a lot of updates have been
happening throughout this process. So even you can see the master
release is not ready, use the stable release,
it's showing all the data as well. I'm going to refresh this
page just for information. And click on the releases this link. And once you go into that link,
scroll down all the way bottom, you can see all the contribution,
all the updates. Here, click on the link the source code
and click on zip, and it will be automatically start
downloading the AutoGPT file for you. Once that is done, open up the zip file. You can see the zip file is here
within my Download section. And extract this into the
folder where you want it. For example, I'm going to just extract
within here itself, but you can use whichever
the location is preferable for you. I'm opening this folder and you can see there are a lot of different
files available for me. Now I'm going to open up
Visual Studio Code which we installed it. It's showing on the recently added or you can search it for here as
well within your start menu. And you can see now my Visual Studio Code
has been opened, the software. Now I need to go into the file and click on Open Folderand navigate to where you
have extracted your AutoGPT download zip. Let me go into my location
where I have extracted it. And this is the location for it. You go into this and see
the folders are here. Just go one route above
that and click on Select folder. Now it will be automatically loading up all the AutoGPT file we need
within this Explorer itself. We can run everything from here itself. Now, if I go into this, if you go down
below, you can see the installation. Now you can do it. First, we need to set up
the OpenAPI key for this. First, in order to do that,
go into the nv. Template.
Here you need to enter your Open AI key. In order to get your Open AI key, you
need to log into your Open AI account. I will be leaving the link where you can
directly get your Open AI key after you logged into your account and added your
Debit Card details to the account. Open up that page and when
you go into platform. O penai.
Com account apikeys, I will leave the link, you are
able to create a new secret key. Here you can mention whatever the name you
want, AutoGPTest, something like that,
which able to help you to understand because so many apps are coming up and you
will be requiring keys for different apps. Once you've done that, it will be
giving you a secret key for you. Copy that secret key and paste. First highlight all the text. You don't need to put any separate
parenthesis or anything like that. Just paste that particular key
as it is and click on Save. Once that is saved, close that and rename
this file where you remove this. Template and save it just as ENV. Now when I go into the installation, it shows that I have
configured the Auto Jpt. Now I need to install the requirement
for this particular one. So it shows this is
the instruction I need to follow. I'm going to follow this. I'm going to show if in case reported any
errors, because it did for me in the first time, I'm going to click on Terminal
and click on New Terminal. Now, what it will do is it will open up
a terminal for me to use this actually from within the Visual Studio
from this folder itself. Now, I'm going to paste that particular
command which I copied and click on Enter. I'm going to close this and you can see automatically it will start
downloading the requirement for you. But I already installed most of it. So it shows that all the requirement
has been already satisfied. Now, once you installed the requirement,
now it shows what is the next step. All you need to do is
start using the Auto GPT. So in order to do that, you'd need to copy paste this command
and paste this and click and enter. And it will load up the Auto GPT and it will show you
the last section which I was doing it. It shows that what I was doing. If I want to continue that, I can do that. If not, I can start from beginning. Press N because I don't want it. You give a name for your AI. The use cases can be anything you want. The creativity comes into play
depending on your need. I'm just going to give it as a research
AI, something like Research AI. You need to provide a role
for that. for example. And you need to provide a role for that. For example, and to speed up this process,
I have already written these things. And you need to provide five different
goal for in order to do that. It's giving you an example
for you as well. I'm just copy pasting all the different
things I am going to do with this. First goal is done. Second goal, let me copy paste this,
and I'm going to select after that. What I have done is I have provided a
role for my AI and I have given four different goals for the AI, and finally,
I have told it to shut down. So what it does it it will
do all these things for me. When I press Enter, it will start up with searching
for benefits of green tea, and after that it will extract
content from the top two pages on it. You don't need to say it as
it is how I have written it. You can use your own language. You can combine different steps together. Your creativity comes
into play onto this as well. You can have the different step. And based on the instructions I have
given, it will write up all these things. Just make sure to have a shutdown in your step because you don't want it
running into a loop for you. So make sure shutdown is in place because having too much of running through it
and using a lot of chat GPT will be consuming a lot of credits for you,
which will be end up consuming a lot of money charges on your
open AI account as well. So think of it.
Thoughts? It shows that I think the first step is to search for the benefits
of green tea for weight loss. Then I can extract top two web content and use that information to write
a blog post on green tea weight loss. I will use the saved written
post as a text while. So it shows the thoughts,
reasoning, plan, criticism, pick. You can have a read through it. You use your own examples. I'm just showing you how to use this. And when you want to go into the next
step, it is really simple. You need to press Y and enter. If you want to add to... Let's say, for example,
I don't want to write a Y five times or one time, but I want to enter the yes
command for five times, 10 times, or something like that, you can press y
dash and enter the number of times, like four times, three times, two times,
or whatever the times you need. So depending on the times used, it will be fully automatic, but it will be
running without your intervention that might end up using too
much of credits for you. Just remember on that. And whenever you want to exit this
program, you need to press N and type... Press N and press Enter. I'm going to press Y and show you one single time, like, how to do this because
the process self explainer. I don't need to be showing these things,
pressing Y again and again, depending on the instructions you give,
depending on the command you give, it will start going and automatically
opening up browser. It will be automatically scraping it, automatically analyzing the text
for you to start using AutoGPT for you. You can see automatically it started doing
all the things like it scraped things. It shows what are the things like. It shows what it has automatically done. It shows that I have extracted the top page content on it, now I will
use that information today. You can get an idea on how you can start using the AutoGPT because you don't want
to miss the fun of it because every year you turn, you might
probably see AutoGPT post. We are still on very early days. The development for this
has been really crazy. All the post, you can see the number
of watching, the editing frequency. So a lot more development is going to be
coming into play and I will be also covering a lot more tutorial
