Auto Ex - Tension Buttress System - Side Resting Vehicle

for this evolution we will be doing a tension buttress system on a side resting vehicle utilizing the rescue 42 struts after sizing up the vehicle the two firefighters approach from different sides of the vehicle they try to either locate existing purchase points or if necessary create them the goal is to insert our struts at as close to a 45 degree angle as possible so that when we tighten the strap it ends up well within the operating angles of the struts after the struts are in place the firefighters will roll out the strap the firefighter stretches the ratchet side to his side of the vehicle and the two firefighters work together to fish the strap underneath the vehicle the firefighter maintains an athletic stance in a defensive position in case the car is to shift he has an escape path the firefighter will tension the strap to the point where the car just starts to move once he's complete he'll lock the ratchet down in the closed position and the car is now stabilized you
