[Applause] on first and goal to play fake there's jesse again this time he hauls it in for the touchdown giving his receiver a chance to make the play and for desmond ritter his first touchdown pass opinion does the honors from the two trying to find a crease pretty good return out across the 30-yard line so that is the correct way to say colleague raymond third and eighth complete first down into falcon territory as he finds trinity benson second-year player out of notre dame to get it down to the one-yard line little fade what a pass what a catch touchdown devin funchess very good job by devon punches just a quick release remember this is a former wide receiver so he has a lot of those skills good to see him smiling back on the sideline and back home here in detroit ritter takes off and he's got some space talked about his speed the rookie out of cincinnati has it he steps out of bounds with 39 seconds to go [Applause] pressure up the middle he goes and ritter escapes he's got the first down again with his legs and that keeps the drive alive again keep in mind here just one time out [Applause] 47 yarder and we are tied at 17 apiece as the clock hit zeros here in the second quarter at ford field he threw the one interception but it was notified by a penalty so his slate is still technically clean and here's a big run there's algier again the rookie first time he's broken off a big care amongst the coaches even deuce and kg as you saw in uh that was a big big hit and uh and then uh i think you know the players do respect guys that have actually done it yeah and they know what it's like to to you know play and have to practice and go through training camp from the second defensive play so the defense holds after the interception and they give up just three points as the falcons regain the lead he battled for the backup spot last year it eventually went to tim boyle and now blau dancing all over flag is on the field but through all of that he completes it to tom kennedy and kennedy out to the 46-yard line at least for the moment [Music] [Applause] his first field goal attempt tonight good so both he and austin seibert in this kicking battle have been good one of those linebackers trying to earn more snaps he played 14 of the defensive snaps last year did woods and this pass is also incomplete and no flag down on the field fourth down offense on the field blau has an option and he's going to keep it that's the right decision david blough continuing to make plays with his legs tonight golf approves [Applause] they do snap it they need three yards they got him first down and it's peppleton well executed [Applause] things can get sped up a bit he'll learn with time and rest to slow it down and really give a guy a move to make a play third and eight going on a screen outside but that thing is blown up maurice alexander caught it but a couple of falcons were there in a hurry riley patterson with a short field goal and he converts again this has been a see-saw battle and right now the lions are back in the driver's seat third and nine here's a key play a lot of time left falcons still with two timeouts as well but wow is able to complete it for the first down that is just a gigantic conversion oh ball dropped oh what a disaster blow unfortunately could not hang on to it and the falcons get it back with two minutes on the clock ritter pocket collapsing extends the play lets it fly it is caught oh my goodness somehow ritter pulls a rabbit out of his hat and the falcons roll the dice and convert on fourth and nine to take the lead with 90 seconds left ritter drops back there's nothing there lions do a good job they contain him he retreats retreats and throws up a prayer in number 83 for this falcons team jared bernhardt oh my goodness [Applause] wow taken down that's a huge sack by this falcons defense jalen dalton celebrates getting to the quarterback [Applause] pressure coming again wow does throw over the middle caught to the 50. there's kennedy continuing his big night [Applause] incomplete coverage was good by trey webb and the final seconds tick off the atlanta falcons take advantage of the late turnover
