Firm Cup final handin Park itself alive as always with that unique Cup final atmosphere a sellout crowd of almost 75,000 and probably as many as 10 15 maybe even 20,000 of you watching us from home who couldn't get tickets for today's match this could easily have been the first hundred thousand attendance in Scotland for many many years but Hampden Park these days holds just over 74,000 and all of these Rangers fans there and their Celtic counterparts at the other end looking forward to what is going to be a marvelous final which will of course be played to a finish nor draws nor replays there will be extra time and if necessary penalties to decide not only the skull Cup but to the League Cup for 1986 the team news immediately is that Briones will not play the Rangers Tammy Fraser is in in his place Ted McMahon plays from the start and for Celtic and the absence of Tommy bones model MacLeod plays has expected at number three with mark Magee but again in for Celtic so they are the scene here at Camden as we look forward to the final the silver shadows marching band oh they are entertaining the crowds the pre-match entertainment really has been marvelous the codes have listened never tire of seeing that site at Camden Park at both ends that colors up the Celtic supporters mascara and a way down at the other side the Ranger supporters all a splendidly scoring site and although Hamlin Park is vastly altered to the first time I came here a lot to watch a game on a terrace things or to do a broadcast it still tingles the emotions when you're sitting amidst a large crowd like this and they really are packed in very very tightly in there I can assure all my friends or some newly-discovered friends that I honestly didn't have many tickets for this game and phone's been going on and off over the past a month to find out if I get people tickets for it has been a huge demand and limitation of course of 74,000 said by the authorities on it whatever the case the enthusiasm of both central supporters is quite under menaced having been around in a few places I can tell you I think without fear of contradiction but they are the most loyal and vociferous supporters in the world and they certainly make their impression on a game very little to choose between them you are in a contest about how they can inspire the side Rangers and Celtic queers to that extent are always advantaged and I've got a man sitting beside me who's got the rough end of that and many instances even at anodized I mean Jim if you had a support like 20 30 thousand falling I would know no disrespect to your own very loyal kind of supporters it doesn't make a difference doesn't it I think that people outside the game don't realize the bit or the difference that it does me especially will yo if their home I think Tanna days and obviously is also very good and not only good in my opinion because the only supporters will have they are but I think that they were travel it was all Celtic in the opening 10 minutes then rinse that are very good spill 20 minutes 25 minutes and towards the end was Celtic that was doing all the pressing it's gym CL it's bouncing and they fade Celtic start to tremendously well we thought well they're going we're going to do something here means has got hold of the game for 10-15 minutes and had a couple of good chances and then CLT a finish the game first half tremendously well and could have gone one up well let's take a look at one or two of the incidents from that first half then and of course there were two incidents of the ball striking the woodwork one for each side the first of those was kami Fraser shot from the free kick which hit the post early on and what a shot it was to the everyone knows a very good camera is a thing striking the ball from these distances a Celtic mustard Nona and these new fears it goes up it's a great show I don't know whether pop one I've got a touch and I think Ally McCoist will probably the longer the game goes on then the missing Sooners influence will come in even more to the fore then I think Ted McMahon he was the star mine and the last time you were around it for the league match and I approached with Rangers one and give did it quite a bit of a roasting that day but today he's not been quite so effective largely due to the fight model Mike Loades played him so well with maybe asked about that in a second yeah but he did have one great shot from about 25 yards out which only just look past the post this is what he's capable of tale isn't it I mean you can get the game think he's been blowing today he's caught with Ed McMahon anytime he's came on the right wing so much saw the tails wandering about actually it's not particularly hauled in this rate side we should bed so well in it and forgive my Brooks he's wandering in the field and I'm sure it's purely because he thinks he's not gonna get much ginger and my mother said tremendous game in my opinion in the Celtic midfield possibly had been a little bit of a disappointment for Davey here I'm just thinking them a clear mixed a shepherd that hasn't really quite come off for them yet and maybe that's where that they're losing out just at the moment two Rangers a friends have had an advantage it's probably been in that midfield area and what Paul makes Tino nearly in the last ten minutes has got himself more into the game I thought it was very quiet early on but the more the games gone on the more influence he's taking on in the game and in the last 10 minutes he even Paul himself could even probably of scored late on the other the first half and had that snapshot but he's taken more control the limit field and you probably see a lot lot tape and midfield from Celtic second half alright well the one incident which I think possibly came closest to voltar giving us a goal in that first half was that the moment when big Roy a contain charging forward and caused also have a key maybe we'd be looking to do that more often than a second I was surprised that Roy didn't look to do that more often in the first half you know he's got the ability to do it and he busts forward here and slips it
