ART OVER COMFORT

[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] this is actually where I am right now this is where I'm staying look how good this looks are you kidding me so as you can see this place is pretty unreal like I've before ever wanted to take pictures in the Arctic on like a fishing boat with like it's nothing but sick mountains and a cool fishermen captain and I think about to go do that but who would who wants look at this what is this this is insane good morning good morning I should however give you guys a little bit of an update of what we've been up to the last few days because it's been a few since I last updated it's uh I am 4:45 a.m. still sick I slept like two hours gonna shoot all day this place is for like a glass cube and totally forgot that there's reflections everywhere and the lights are on so that looks dope though it's hard to see this monitor when its all full smoke in here trying to focus back for that oh good you're back and the he's outside the he's inside Hayes outside Hayes inside he's outside he reads olive green right now no flashing not yet crazy ready and coming for it [Music] lots of head movements their hand right keep going we're doing every four by three shot in the center train be cool stick to some rules everything centered everything forward by three and then when the cool creative sequences happen we're trying to portray his mind unleashing creating music we're gonna break our four by three rule and go full wide and just manic and show like the limitless creation trying to tell a story with aspect ratio essentially dope right I'm ready I'm sorry I'm ready I'm ready come on man one-handed pulling focus you know why because I'm that good okay it's like f13 right like everything focus everything that's in red is in focus so because we're shooting at f13 pretty much everything's in focus but the landscapes so I want to show it as much of it as possible [Music] vitas nice and warm and his sea flame we're out here [Music] in productions [Music] virtually just the bed [Music] that's fun no it wasn't I had a good time toasty warm in there man you should've come on the plane we are in this cavern right now trying to shoot but all of this I asked for more smoke I was like let's let's haze the Shh out of this tavern and they definitely did it's kind of my own fault but it looks dope look at this for waiting for like the right moment because it's really windy outside of this in order to get a super cool hero shot of Henrik I'm waiting for him he's up he's up there somewhere I mean look all around like it's we're pretty it's we're in a haunted house very hard to pull focus at a very shallow depth with like full smokes the magic of David Copperfield that's no I feels cool - the fact I'm wearing like a teddy bear this hoodie looks like a teddy bear I wish probably do some work now I got this this monitor here pulling focus taking turns with Ronan and how bright this light is not my face all of this footage is probably overexposed I'm so sorry I gotta go do work bye I got some great photos of this place especially last night we got off the boat it was almost dark snapped a photo handheld of like one sixth of a second and it looks like this you probably ready seen it by now excite posted it but good morning morning sickness pills oh I'll take some of those yeah thank you oh they're chewy Chuy's I'm one of those people that's like when someone takes like two out of them and just swallow them and I'm like that's not right you should be 100% oh it's like a mint oh what's up guys welcome to the vlog I'm going on a boat for a little bit figured I don't usually need these but just in case I'd rather not feel sick I'm feeling sick and thinking should've took a chewy those birds make it hard to vlog dude those little birds are so loud we got to sample those you're gonna get you gonna get some nice clips make a track yeah would you actually do something like that for sure yeah just to see he goes yeah I love that how I look at things and see like a visual and and photo framing this guy looks at things and hears sounds and tracks that's like that lot yeah I should start writing music I want to teach me so I can start writing music of course those sound effects put them to use so for me it's probably a smart idea to put this on I normally would because it doesn't look cool for the b-roll but you know I'd rather not be frozen in the Arctic sea for the sake of looking cool [Music] I don't have the utmost confidence of operating a red being so restricted I can't operate a camera like this decided not to do it I need mobility art / comfort all right [Music] [Music] [Music] what are we done we've done you've seen the Northern Lights you saw those little glass huts they were fantastic a lot of things have happened since then there's been some mountains there's been lots of driving we're now actually in Luton before we were not we were just outside as some of you graciously pointed out in the comments thank you for that but this place we have finally arrived and we are sailing out to sea to do some fish and get some very rich if you will themed b-roll you know here in Norway which is what I wanted to capture so we got the red with us we got the crew here give me some of that for the next few hours and then just drive this is one of those places when you know when you're traveling and you stop the car every five seconds because you're like and you get back in and you're like go back go back go back back and then you get nowhere because you stopped a thousand times so yesterday on the way in and we like vowed to not stop and it was one of the most painful experiences I've ever had as a photographer because I was just who I was just watching bangers just go by just tossing them out just handed them out to other people just I'm gonna get him today I got you [Music] good good good cuckoo crispy it left my gloves in my backpack all right little update a little colder than I expected but I feel like I've been saying that this whole trip however I am managing it quite well between shooting with the red flogging snapping pictures and not having any time and take gloves on and off so I'm just bare handed this place is beautiful being on the fishing boat in the middle of this sea entirely surrounded by white capped mountains one of the best places I've ever been it's like we're arriving somewhere now two cool little village this place is so remote Wow look at that how do you like that Fuji I love the food yeah yeah things you like about it the shutter sound it's just like so nice that's a good sound that's a really really good sound and then just like the retro feel to it so what the retro feel oh man this looks so good look at this I mean come on that is like you don't even have to work for that like you just snap it and it's done as suspected this trip is gonna take forever today because we stopped again surprised because okay you ready ready for this one hahaha revealed member - oh look look oh oh this makes me so happy I love photography you knew I had to do this come on when you're looking at that coffee in the Arctic check moving on to the next spot now this is among the last locations we're gonna hit today before we head on a four-hour ferry ride oh through the third view of the day up on the peak you ready are you ready it looks good Oh how do places like this exist I've seen this in so many photos it's so cool to be here and see it in real life one of the best parts of this job in photography as a whole it's great when you keep moving around the spot if you keep getting better and better but then you end up with like back at your office or your house whatever you're in Lightroom and you're like I have 97 photos of this place and they're all good then you end up posting one and you bank the rest and that's probably got to start printing our photos more folks print your shots hang this on the wall this I'm printing this this is going in the new office we'll come back to that in a few months and I'll show you where it's gonna be hanging cuz this is just too good hey Kirk drone shots good idea [Music] [Music] all right made it to the ferry for hours now across the sea - buh da o da off to Oslo after that that sound is so good we're lost on a giant boat why does it look the same everywhere where are we you
