Hello, my creative friends! Olga Soby here, and
welcome to new acrylic pouring video. Today let me present you the finest of 2021 by yours choice.
So these are the top 10 of most popular and viewed acrylic pouring videos of the year. So let's recap
together. I really hope you'll get some awesome ideas for your coming projects. And please let
me know which one is your favorite and of course, the main question of all is what would you like to
see more on my channel in the future. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Please let me know
down in the comments below. Thank you so much in advance and without further ado let's get started
with this acrylic pouring compilation. Let's go! And the first painting in the list is
also the first piece that I created in the "Breaking through the limits" series.
So all the colors here are mixed with just water and see here I added many different
colors to my base and I'm swiping this out to create the multi-color base. This way there's a
lot more interest in depth in the composition and on such a dark and deep base it's really awesome
to create really bright popping bursts of colors. So I'm adding some gold,
different shades of red and white. Blowing out the first part, and the specialty
of the "Breaking through the limits" series is the creation of 3d effect. So here
I'm using this huge cookie cutter, I blew out the first part, I'm adding
this round shape in my painting, and then, there we go - I'm blowing out the
second part. Look at this gorgeous turquoise. And that created the impression
that this flow goes through the ring creating beautiful 3d effects. Here is the beauty all finished with epoxy resin and by all means, this painting is probably
one of my personal favorites in a year. The next technique is traveling open
cup and I find that this technique works especially amazing for anything
ocean and tropics and coral reef inspired. So here is my open cup aka cookie cutter and I'm
adding the colors here. So, it's very important to notice that the first color that you added to the
cup (which was the aqua green for this pour) is going to be the dominant color and the rest of the
colors will show through it in beautiful cells. By the way, all the colors for this
pour are mixed with floetrol and water. Let's give it a travel. Beautiful cells showing up
and you can see that the flow is mainly aqua color and all the
rest of the colors are showing through it. I'm tilting it very carefully to stretch out
the cells, and I wanted to try something new for this pour. So I'm doing all these
swirly swipes right with my open cup to spread out the color and to create this
really playful design. I think it works amazing. Open cup technique is so easy to create
beautiful cells without use of silicone. Especially when your colors are
mixed with floetrol and water, and mainly the cells are happening
due to different density in colors, check it out. Here is this tropical coral
reef beauty. Open cup technique does magic. The next project is a rainbow flow and it's done
on one of the biggest canvases I've ever worked on. So, this huge baby is 30 by 40 inches. And
here I'm creating this curvy flow of rainbow colors, and for this rainbow - I'm gonna blow it
out without a blow dryer, just using my breath. The difference between directing
the air with just your breath and using the blow dryer is
that it allows you to create more rounded shape. Whereas the blow dryer creates
much bigger bursts of color. It's not better worth, just a different style. So definitely
try it out to see how you like this effect. Adding some blue in the corners
to add contrast and to really shape up this beautiful rainbow flow. And by the way for this beauty again all the
colors including base colors are mixed with water only. I'm adding some gold in this flow and what
I'm doing now I like to call a finger swipe. So, this is where I drag my finger through all the
colors to create beautiful effect to connect the whole flow. And check this out. This baby is all
finished covered with some varnish a beautiful gold showing through. How do you like this take on
rainbow painting? I would love to hear from you. Number four on this list. One of your recent
favorites, so is mine. So for this painting, I'm gonna do a dirty pour technique to create a
gorgeous hot lava flow. So I'm using all different shades of red, some oranges and magenta, and then
also some black to create shades and depth in this flow. And here we go the dirty pour technique
is just pouring out those colors on the panel. Let's tilt it out. And here is one really awesome
must-try tip for you I created a little dome all around the canvas just using the masking tape.
And see as I'm tilting I'm not spilling any paint. So this little hack is perfect when you do a lot
of tilting and you don't want too much paint from overflowing off your canvas. And
here I'm adding some golden details just wanted to create beautiful
swipes and golden accents. God, so many beautiful details in this piece
and I continue flowing and stretching this out and see this little dome just
really catching all the paint. And after I'm done tilting I'm removing the tape
and letting a little bit of paint to fall over. And now I want to blow it some paint to create
few bright areas of interest in this painting with beautiful white and golden
details as well as swipes so, yeah, this painting is very cool and
diverse combination of techniques. Totally looks like melting hot lava flow. what
do you think? And if you enjoyed this video, already learning some tips and tricks, please give
this video a like that would mean a lot to me. Welcome to number five - the Yin Yang Butterfly.
So for this painting, I'm gonna do chain pull technique to create this butterfly. And for chain
pull, I like to mix my colors a little thicker. So for this one, I mix colors with pouring
medium and water to a rather thick consistency. And here I'm adding the light outline to the
one side of the butterfly and dark outline for the other side of butterfly. The yin
yang composition is one of my favorites. And let's do that chain pull. Look at those
beautiful sharp lines. This is what you get from working with pouring medium and thicker
consistency. And all the colors that I'm using for the butterfly are iridescent. So when
it's gonna be dry it's going to be gorgeous. One of the most important tips that I want to
share with you for the chain pull technique is that take your time, move the
chain really slowly and carefully. Also, make sure that the base layer is not very
thick otherwise the paint will puddle up too much. And here is the dry result. I didn't apply
epoxy rising yet so this is just a dry paint, and you can see those colors shine brightly.
Give it a try next time you do a diptych. The number six takes an extra special place in
this list because this painting is inspired by the album cover of Pink Floyd "The dark
side of the moon". Working on huge canvas I'm gonna try to recreate this iconic
album cover. So first of all, of course, starting out by adding in the rainbow colors for
the right side of my canvas. And all of my colors including the base layer I mixed with water only
to a very fluid consistency, no other additives. Let's sprinkle some gold and other iridescent
colors, and blow out this beautiful rainbow. Working from the inside towards the outer part of the canvas to create this
beautiful spectrum of light. And now before I blow out the white part it's
time to create that triangle. So I'm using this spatula, this large spatula to add lines. I'm
dipping it in white and adding some white on top and that works out absolutely perfectly. Now let's blow out that
white part of the painting. And to finish up the center to connect the white
and the colorful part I decided to create the little swirls. So, blowing those colors and spiral
movement to create a very cool and unique center of the painting. Honestly, guys, I think it's
one of the most epic paintings I've ever made. And I would love to hear from you if you
would like to see more album cover-inspired acrylic pouring creations. Number seven is another
painting that's full of rich vivid red colors. So this is a "Phoenix flow". And for this painting,
first of all, I wanted to create a multi-color base but instead of dirty pour I just added all
those colors on my panel and I blew them out. And I'm working my way from inside out sort of
over-mixing those colors but also don't overwork them too much. So, that I have this diversity
of color and vibrant beautiful multi-color base. And once my base is done, now I'm adding colors for my main flow. I want to go vibrant
gold, iridescent orange, and white. One tip for this technique
is to not add too much paint. You can always add more as you go and just keep
working on those details until you're fully happy. Adding the finger swipe is one of my
specialties. I would say I really love adding it into the composition,
and this beauty is finished. The dry result looks amazing
with all the metallics, and gold, and copper. And in this piece,
Phoenix's head shows through. So this is a beautiful "Phoenix flow"
with vibrant reds and gold colors. And now here comes number eight. The traveling
funnel technique. So, first of all, I'm creating the black and white color split base and adding
all the colors for my flow in the funnel. And for this pour, the color is inspired by the
dance of fall foliage. So a lot of bright reds, and oranges, and some copper, and gold. And
for accent, I added a few pops of turquoise. It will look really awesome in this color palette.
Funnel is such an amazing and useful tool when it comes to fluid painting because it can allow
you to create beautiful flow and gives you a lot of control over the composition. Just wiggle
that funnel and dance with it to create beautiful design. And by the way for this pour all of my
colors have been mixed with floetrol and water. Tilting really helps to level
out the paint and after that, I just take my metal straw and I begin to work on
a design and blow out all these beautiful wispy leafy elements. So you have seen that blow
dryer creates very big bursts of color, mouth blowing gives you more soft and delicate
petals of color. And when you're blowing with a straw you really get leafy design because
the direction of flow is much more narrow and that allows you to create this
very cool playful and airy effect. Here is the dry result. The copper is shining
and so many gorgeous details. It really pops in the sunlight. If you haven't tried pouring with
funnel yet I don't know what you're waiting for. Traveling cup is not only good for ocean
and tropics, and color reef inspired art but also for deep space, galaxy, and nebula paintings.
So this pour is inspired by nebula colors. And again I'm gonna use a traveling open cup
technique. I want to go for double travel. One with smaller cup and one with a bigger cup and
all the same colors. For this pour, my paint is mixed with floetrol and water again. I find that
this mixture works very successfully with the traveling open cup technique and you can see all
these beautiful cells that are happening due to floetrol in the mixture, some metallic colors, and
also different density of colors that I'm using. After doing the travel I like
to tilt it. Always do that to stretch out the cells and
to help my paint level out. And now here comes the fun part - the blowing.
And when I do blow with a straw, and then with a blow dryer I like to keep those sections that have
the most beautiful cells and that I like the most, and then blowing out the edges to create that
really beautiful and dynamic effect in this piece. So there you have it. Double
flow with nebula colors. Finally the number 10. Last but most
definitely not least. For this painting, I used a dutch pour technique to create a
really bright and vivid burst of colors. So, one really important tip that I want to
share with you. on working on dark base and using transparent colors add a few opaque colors first,
between your transparent and the dark base. That will really help your color stand out better and
not going to be too dark when the paint is dry. And see this beautiful cell action. This
is the magic of iridescent colors that I used in this painting they really
really helped those cells pop. I always love to take my time on working
details and bring those paintings to perfection. And all the colors are mixed with water only.
There are no additives, no silicone, whatsoever. I really hope that you have enjoyed this
collection. Let me know which one is your favorite. I will chat with you in the
comments down below. Thank you so much for watching! Take care, stay creative and
I'll see you in the next video! Bye-bye!
