the absolute boys are uh but you know you got need to be uh need to be for on this thing football season is over but transfer season is upon us and that is the big one and so we've got uh loads of room change and the fact that the people who've come in are famously tight lipped uh it does mean that you do feel like everyone sort of scratching around a little bit for names at the moment and you're trying to figure out of the ones you're seeing what is concrete and what isn't yeah we we've had like a proper setup periods of no and right oh there's a name that makes sense when we've been linked with them we're going to sign him and now it's back to like where's Jo's half 10 tweet like every you're watching like and you're seeing these links and you're like well don't know it might it might be him just might be some mad fell I've seen something before that came in before I think it might even be off robs robs agenda for the gutter next and it was like he went to South America and I was like I've never seen anyone play like I don't watch Brazilian or Argentinian football but like three weeks time he could be sitting here talking about some fow who's been playing like 80 games a season because the Brazilian League's mad in it but he play loads of games and like Dave fellows and all all all the fellas who are like paid to know to sign it over there having a belt to time like watch him or should sign him you know he's good so it's it's it is a bit up in the air isn't it like we don't we don't know we've never seen an Anish laot team really play football we don't know who he wants we're led to believe it's quite similar and he's happy with what we've got so it's all mad and like we could sign someone we we might we're definitely going to sign people AR yeah they'll definitely sign someone um Josh you know Neil keeps saying they've not HED all these people just to have a summer off you I mean like we've got like now the almost you know the biggest technical team in World football in terms of you know in terms of behind the scenes if you're like but he's just you're not really sure on who because like Mike said you know the new manager how does he want a player what does he think of of what he's got he seems quite happy with what he got but I'm sure he'll understand a little bit gaps there's some interesting links to to players that he's worked with already in terms of you know midfielder Defender and and and and up front as well but is that you know always like a little bit lazy kind of thing or or or you know are we going to get the next Joe Allen uh for Brendon Rogers it's going to come out over the next couple of weeks but it might be like Mike says suddenly there's a half you might have to stay up late again again that's your bedtime Jo famously early bedtime as well yeah like it's it's that it's dead interesting so far because I think like usually Liverpool sort transfer targets like you there seems to be no middle ground really like you either get an Alexi mallister where it's reported from day one that drags out for for forever and Liverpool eventually get it done or it's one of those like sosai where it just seems to come out completely out the blue and I wonder now with this new team and and with the new manager and stuff is is it more likely to be the latter where it does come a little about the blue rather than the ones that sort of long and now like you you know you mentioned the thing about what Neil said where you know you don't go and hire as you say one of the biggest technical teams in World football to just come and sit on the hands for a whole summer and it's the it's the timing of when they were hired which is sort of most interesting for me as well it was it was all sort of just after the New Year sort of February March kind of time wasn't it when Michael Edwards came in Julian Ward I think he probably the latest appointment to to things there Richard Hughes I think was was was he an end of the season one I think about him um so so there's a couple there who's sort of coming in across different times but you imagine from the minute Michael Edwards gets back into to the club obviously he's got to you know build that team around him but it be looking at the the you know the first team squad as well thinking about the profile of the new manager who who was coming in and it sounds like you know from pretty early on they decided that slot was going to be one of one of the key contenders for that and the reason for that was they had this idea of how they wanted to play football and how much you know continuity they wanted to have from Jurgen klopp's team so I think they they've already had you know similar sort of football on on their radar from that point yeah no I think that is all fair to say you know the a bit a profile of player that they've be looking at you know for a while now in sorts of different positions and you don't imagine that changing and too much uh going after strongly I guess but it is the information that that you know s are craving and you mentioned the gutter now is you know Rob's hosting now and we've got loads of transfer shows going out sandigi and and and the article was like saying we have footage of him when he was 15 playing like in some League somewhere or some like you football and you're like that that's just that's mad I like it's it's it's got to be that detail because they need to know the sign and we've seen for years I me how it's about the character and stuff like that so we just see the name on the on the on the like the headline the tweets or what ever when it pops up but Dale definitely had all sorts of information and and backgrounds upon that ladden yeah I I expect us to do business in several areas I think centor half could be massive because M Up's gone and and didn't really feature from December on last year um and you know Gomez never really got played there last season he was out of full back cover so then that leaves you canate quaner and Van djk and canate is never you know fit all the time is he he's had some trouble so I there's definitely business to be done there what is a positive Josh is that a lot seems to be sorted from our end that you look it around at the moment and there's you know Chelsea are looking for the new manager and you know it looks like they've chosen the Leicester one which is sort of quite interesting but there's still a lot of question marks not just in in in the Premier League but across Europe of teams who we're going to be helping compete with in in in the Champions League and it does feel like we've got a lot more sort of than others obviously the the back room staff are now are now taking effect as well there's there's information they've lynched to a story of the weekend about about some of AR slot's team and and there's a couple of appointments now who sort to come over from Holland there's a couple of others to be an advertised on LinkedIn which people lost their mind about and I'm like that's that's that's why that's where people look for jobs you know what I mean like they're not just jobs that you H hire people for and maybe interview like do you know what I mean it's not like we're looking for Center forward on LinkedIn like people even were a little bit sort of funny about that but I was all right with it it's the modern world uh might find someone boss um but um yeah but but if it does feel like you know man city aside and we're going to come on to talk about them in the second half and obviously Man City and Arsenal got a lot of stability but in terms of you know all the clubs who who were trying to sort of catch up it does feel like we've got a lot more sorted on and off the pitch than than some of the others yeah absolutely I think they like the weird thing about LinkedIn is because it's social media isn't it and some people just use social media basically for their jokes that's like that's the reason I follow you Mike and Jordan to honest it's just is just to get all my good content there but yes it's it's interesting even seeing some of some of the names that are sort of floating around because you mentioned before about you know the almost easier Links of of the lads who somerville's worked with performs obviously you sorry the the slots work with performs obviously Somerville from leads uh is what I was going to go on to say and you know he's he's played at the weekend and and I saw your your Tweet saying sort of saying you know you know you watched him and you thought he was crap I thought leads were crap as well which is absolutely brilliant to be honest because I'm so I'm so glad they've not come up but um he's he's had a great season in in the championship there's all all these sort of you know Styles and sort of things you can think about in terms of matching up to to what the new gaffa is going to going to want when he when he comes in like I I'm just de intrigued to see you know the way that the the way the team's going to set up and things that but as as Mike says you know he's he's almost got to get his his foot in the door first really doesn't need and and decide all that before he can before he can even think about who's going to be coming in that's where I think it will sort of fall more fall more on on Michael Edwards and the Richard Hughes and Julian Wars to be going out and sort of doing a lot of that a lot of that ground work for him and we'll be we'll be talking through some of the links quite a few people s mentioning names in in the more some of chat uh Sandi supat says we probably need a younger DM which I presume stands for dude Meister 25 years oldish so I think he's trying to replace me with someone slightly younger um I'm teram last year likely again this time like I'm I'm sort of I don't know about you boys I'm sort of leaning more towards the the sort of endo type six and probably going for someone a bit younger as feel necessarily to me like the sort of midfielder we need this summer no the interesting thing about teram is that his contracts up in 12 months I think that's right and so you know they're talking about you know being able to get him for a decent price and and and you know these s of love that so so that might bring him into play a little little bit there's also um midfielder who who slots had a fire not who whose name's jump jumped out to my head I'm sorry but is is someone who who he's been linked with quite quite a lot and and has spoken up as as a potential you know really sort of top player and and you don't think he he' costed the moon but you know sort of wait and see on that one you see how how what the others at the club sort of think of them I don't know if any of them jump out for you m in terms of names that have just been mentioned ver verel is a the portal fell is he yeah I really just want him say the verella fella Tong Twisted is it since we lost the Cherry fell the Cherry fell the verella fell sounds like a like like a solid number six that we could we can all get on board with at least for his name alone really um I don't know ad Amy I watched it I watched the Champions League quite closely to be honest like the the semes and he was rapid like and he kept getting loads of chances and I think like he he went from salsburg I think to leig yeah leig sorry Dortmund and I think he was like like more Central Striker but he's played wide loads and he was he was getting back and that that was one thing I was like interesting going I wonder if we've got any any money to spend maybe we'd be looking at that like uh someone who who gets back just as well as they get forwards and like he he was just explosive and Powerful I was like I'd love a bit of that but maybe the maybe the output's issue is the fact that he doesn't put the ball in the net as much as he you'd like maybe and I imagine dman would be asking for a lot of money for one of their players between two styles of play there aren't we like we want you to do all this but then you come in actually just play our way cuz it's better so it's like you don't you don't know do you in terms of we bring someone in because they've been doing something really good for someone else and we've seen something that like like like when we s Genies probably the biggest one isn't he like he scored loads which they were delighted about I watched the the the celebrations yesterday and they were absolutely made up so so fair play on that but there was also this the the Cy breaking the Pep Guardiola is going to do one more year he just constantly copies I think it is fair to say and everything that he does but it is an interesting one if it is true you won't be surprised he sort of said on the record as he listen what else have got to do you know it's four League titles now he's won he's won the first champions league for Manchester City and it does sort of you know end up getting a bit bit Samy for you it does the intensity as well he's an intense man sort of similar don't think berardo Silva basically pulls his trick every single summer being like Oh Yeah I'm going to leave there's like I've already seen Romano the day like there's a 50 million release clause in his contract he's a liar I'm I'm not saying you are by the way maybe you are but but Bernardo Silva definitely is so so I wouldn't I wouldn't be trusting that but yes it'll be really interesting to see there'll be there'll be a load of clubs around around the league who are breathing a sigh of relief like I've seen I've seen loads of Arsenal fans already sort of you know weighed down by the by the scale of having to try and catch this this Manchester City side they might have an eye on our T exactly so it'll be yeah that that'll be even interesting to see you know for for us obviously it would be you know a huge s relief if he goes we we we yet to see what the slot era looks like but if the slot era can get opportunity there and it will be interesting post Guardiola to see how much of City's dominance was him how much of it was was the ownership you know how much of it's the the players you've got to expect some dip having you after him because you know he is such an incredible coach that whoever they bring in will feel like a a bit of a downgrade but also there'll be a bit of an adjustment yeah look when they when they brought him in I think everyone was was where he went they like you know the fellas won leagues are bu him and basa and there's the whole thing about how yeah he's done it out of eight haven't they I think he's been there eight years now has he or seven years must be six or eight years sorry and he's um he's won six six titles out of the eight years he finished fourth in his first season and second TOS yeah so like the first season you s to go yeah all right he was not quite good his the squads he's got now he's not got quite the ideas over took took a while to adjust but then when it did you know you you see the level that the players have got the the constant it's like it's like a Metron isn't it that's what everyone said about Barcelona it's boring where he had Messi in his team he had Nest like Javi all these players that were just good at doing what he wanted over and over and over again until you just beat it into submission which is what man city don't know it maybe it is just the thing is like well I'll do five in AOW and then I'll get off cuz I'm like me m me me main sparing Partners gone from Liverpool artet has been all right but I've definitely had his number and he's not like arsal probably haven't really been brave enough to come and do me at my own game this season and and is there a manager who can do that do want with manini and Pelini before Guardiola didn't he and and other than that it's been Guardiola so it's going to be a real like a real period of adjustment for them and like Josh mentioned there we could be settled after a year who knows what next season brings we may even go Clos and to ourselves but If he if he does get off we we're us and ARS will be looking at each other say we're set the best year let's
