what's up y'all welcome back to the baby life what's up so today we're doing a military chit chat answering a butchery all questions this videos been long overdue I know we said was playing it out a while ago but we just been busy with all kind of stuff but we had y'all submit questions to us which I wanted us to answer about military life our thoughts we got quite a few so we're gonna start going through them all let's jump into the questions the first oh and here's a little Miss muffin all right first question what branch are you in okay so I'm in the Air Force and I'm in the Army Reserves at the moment yeah but I was in the Army so yeah I'm in the airforce he's in the army are you active duty well yeah we just I'm active duty I am non active yeah I'm active duty he is in the reserves how long have you been in the military I was in my first time in the the active duty Army for four years and in the reserves now about four months but I'm getting out in August yeah we're using four months yeah for me I've been in two years it'll be three years in January what made you join the military so I graduated high school in 2010 walked across the stage and then like the next the following week I woke up and I didn't know what I was going to do it was so boring I had no one to tell me when they go to this class and when they go to this period of class so I was just lost so it was the decision that I never thought I would make especially not the military because I didn't think anything about the military beforehand but I made it when I graduated high school so I would say just not knowing what to do in life at the moment that's what made me join offers consider joining the military right after high school was the first time I thought about joining just because it was like a great way of life and a way for me to get away from that home and my situation back home and be able to support myself on my own cuz you know like somebody shared out high school it's pretty hard to you know work and make enough to support yourself alone not not with anybody else so I was wanting to go into the military then for that reason but then I ended up not going into the military at that point because we got married and he was army so when you're doing military in the same branch they can kind of keep you together for the most part sometimes they can't but they try and keep you together as much as possible but when you're two different branches like yeah it's really hard to stay together so I was on wanting to join and go Air Force and he'd be army and then we not even be together so I kind of just let that go and like was the army wife and went around with him and then once he got out we were in back home in our hometown of Atlanta for about a year maybe I think we had been there a year and one day we was just like all over a family members house and we was just talking about different stuff and we started talking about the military and then that's when I was like yeah I wish I could've joined like I probably be a bla bla bla bla rank by now if I had a joint and he was just like why can't you and I was like oh no and so from that point on when he was like why can't you and we talked about and he was like yeah you should do that's what you want to do you should join like I'm cool with it moving around with you and doing everything so I was like cool so that's how I started my process in joining the military almost three years ago yep so see do you enjoy the lifestyle yes absolutely yes Air Force lifestyle is amazing now Air Force lifestyle and army lifestyle is so the next question which lifestyle did y'all like better army or Air Force and why so it's two different ways and I must say lifestyle so a lifestyle at home I think Air Force what I would say at like home Air Force cuz you don't have to go to any fields and stay home unless you're gonna TD wise but you still have your your cell phones and everything so we can communicate that way FaceTime so that's kind of like well it's it mostly like we can't give you the working like which one is better because my working environment and the Air Force is completely different from his working environment but from what I can see cuz I've been in Norman and I see here in the Air Force and yeah what I saw of him yeah I think all-around better lifestyle now if you talking about the turn-ups now yeah we have some legends in the army I put it that way in the Army I mean we have fun but we definitely like the Air Force side of everything you know the way the Air Force caters to like family yeah making sure that we have a balance like home to work way of life I think the Air Force is a lot better takes care of us a lot more not say don't take care of army people but it's a lot more like rugged and you know sort of ground type thing versus the Air Force it's just a different cut the environmental culture is just different it's hard to explain and not make a sample and I guess it's not really bad it's just all it's different but the way of life if you want a good lifestyle like goat airforce no army I mean it's very fun if you rugged like that like me I I was like yeah but if you a man well I'm not gonna need this a sexist thing but for me I would rather my wife go in the Air Force didn't or maybe she would opinion army I would have been like okay cool I'm gonna support you but I still think you should go in Air Force you know so so yeah peace the team it took me a while to learn how to like usually I just like wash and condition it in the end while it's still damp that's when I go in with like the jail which he calls alien snot but I go in with the gel and my demon brush and Kong and I just like flick it back in then I put a doughnut inside I couldn't but I just feel like in my uniform I just look a lot more sleek and put together you know then I would if my hair is out and then my hat doesn't fit over my natural hair good so I'll keep it in the sleep burn like this but my natural hair does suffer from being pull so much with the jail and everything like the top doesn't curl is like the back of my hair do so yeah but shout out to whoever extra power oh my boy thank you thank you that's buddy wave I mean they see my areolas I want to join but I'm scared of deploying how many times have you deployed and how can I avoid deploying me personally I never like went over to like Iraq or Afghanistan but I had I didn't I really didn't have the opportunity when I first got the Korea the your prior they stopped deploying from Korea but if I would've went a year prior would have been the full when I got to Colorado Springs my unit was a brand new unit so we went into pulling until five or six years later on and I got out before then so I have not deployed yet but there's no way so whoever s asked that question to us of what end deployments you're scared about the point is that is your mind said the military is not for you you know that that's the nature of the beast like that's why we put on uniform is to be ready to deploy at any time T V Y whatever you're doing like that's the whole mission it's to deploy so if you scared it if you don't want to do that if they're frightens you you're trying to avoid it you should not be going in because there's no way to avoid not the point yet some jobs deploy more than others but anybody can go everybody should be ready to go and you have to be ready to go to be in now do I want to go no you have some people that like they end they like I can't wait to the park and redeploy that's not me like I got a family I wanna stay with my family but if me be if I was called upon to go yeah get get the bags like we going we're doing this like that's my job but I'm not volunteering but another four minutes but when that time comes which if you know however long I stay in I'm pretty sure I will deploy within my career yes I will be going glad to go but I'm not volunteering to go no yeah the only way you can not deploy is you be like I'll beat up being out of shape teeth out your mouth you had yeah and if you like that non-deployable yeah if you're in that non-deployable status they don't get you they're gonna get you out because you're not just gonna like suck up the military's dollars and you're never ready to do the job all right so where are you stationed and where would you like to be stationed next so right now we're stationed at Luke in Phoenix Arizona we really like it here this is my number one pick I got Luke so I was really lucky because that rarely ever happens did you get your number one thing as far as where to go next I don't know I kind of I kind of want to go overseas like I really would like to be stationed in Italy or Germany but I just don't know I really like my airframe so if you familiar with my job like my airframe that 35 isn't everywhere so I can't go to as many bases other people can unless I switch to another airframe which is possible but I really like the f-35 so I'm cool with staying here for as long as possible cuz we really enjoy it here but stateside of who wants to go somewhere else yeah we try to get back on the East Coast I don't know maybe North Carolina will be nice no I'm saying Florida in fact those East Coast yeah right but actually after going to Cali a couple times while you're here I actually like County now and I'll be cool we're going to a base and Cali traffic is like ridiculous bub the East Coast I like to go to Florida okay and I'm not gonna be safe as I I don't have a choice ha just let her decide with me we we discuss it together just cuz but I think that would be selfish to me be like no I want to go here and to think about overseas like when you're married you go for a four-year tour or regulatory but if I go by myself it can be like a year but taking a family it's four years so like there's a lot to consider yeah Florida so how is your military pay oh no what they so when I first got in when I was a single [Music] yeah they're if you're married you make a decent amount you're single airmen gold they not balling okay but I will say now and I situation where I am at ranking us being married and like he's shaking I don't know everyone is easy enough that I could do 20 years you know no problem cuz I enjoy the lifestyle enjoy what I do I just don't know like we never finished like our degrees don't know what can happen anything happen that we get out or decide things so we don't what are your business requirements and how did you get right back to it after the baby yes um so yeah my fitness requirements for my Haggard's gossip ring coma you ain't finna crawl a mile they're coming back with your popsicle so for for the Air Force you have different requirements male-to-female and then you have different requirements for compared to your age so from my age being a female I should do bare minimum to pass is 18 push-ups 38 sit-ups and run my mouth and a half in less than 16 23 or 24 something like that but so anything Air Force PT tests you can't hit the minimums and pass like I still have to do more some we're sorry they have to run faster than the minimum or do more push-ups than the bare minimum we'll still have you feel is that meat since I'm second part of that I did not jump right back to the Heston baby it's been like a gradual process it's time for my PT test right now actually okay say thank you um so yeah I'm actually right now at the time for my PT test you have one year after having a baby to test again and I'm either taking that this week or next week before starts getting really hot here in Arizona and I'm back in shape not as good as I was before the baby but I am back to where I can test and I'm doing well enough to get that done so you know we'll see I'll let y'all know how that goes and you know I got snap back so after the baby I was I just got back in the gym maybe like 28 hours a day no you still yo sit I think you just got to be a beast are you excited about testing for Staff Sergeant soon Trailblazer home tested for self I test it for staff already actually I tested a week ago I was very excited I see lemon I was very excited it was crazy to be be testing so soon in my career oh she's had we're sure she dropped a popsicle integrase yeah just gonna let her eat it and madelyn versa don't drop the Carson anyway it is amazing that I've done so well and I was able to test this early for staff because it's pretty big deal mochi on over there Air Force we have some company TZ I made that and I did it all really fast so within three years now I guess you could have more time I did study get ready to know like everything but it's just so much so I don't know like when we test we have to wait a few months like final results and everything so we'll see three four years staff sergeant is it see the baby so dirty I'll shipping out here playing that she puffs the cookie so the next question is what advice would you give people just don't take advantage of so if you're there take advantage of being bring over to the grass no bring it to the grass come to the grass Carson don't pull the mat come this one came high-ranked not only understand is to take advantage of education make sure you use all the benefits of the military and school in the airforce like it's a lot of stuff like you just don't know you kind of like a theory he invites me to your first base trying to figure everything out so if we find somebody like you admire this you know on their game speed climbing and rancor they both retire and they don't have a great career they know a lot of stuff yeah let them take you under their wing if they will pick their brain about stuff and just make the best ways pray get up Oh Carson Cheyenne come in y'all know what crazy thing is when you're chanting MobileLite all you do is holla at him and like look at him like stop don't do that come here like I'm gonna show you all right now what she do Carson Carson Oh Oh God please come back to the grass she really thinks she's as big as Madeline but she don't know she's still just a little baby starts to do way too much Carson come back oh if you're thinking about joining if you don't know what you're doing in life or you don't know what your needs move is you feel like time is running out I recommend joining I do cause like even whether you did 20 years or one lets me know you get a lot of benefits from me that you can't get on the outside like right now we're going to school completely for free we graduate we have no student loans no debt all of our friends went school big I did like we don't have that your health care is taken care of you don't have to worry about like your housing your food we have an allowance for all of it so it is a great way of life but I will say this way of life is not for everyone if you can't handle being alone if you can't handle separation there's a lot that goes into the military like a lot of people see us and they see how it works like how well it can work for some people some couples but we also know a lot of people that it didn't work well for we know a lot of like suicide cases no of course like that so Carson Carson comeback brought back over here for me when I got ready to join it wasn't that much of a change or difference in lifestyle for me because I was already like really structured so you have some people that like the military is a shock for them like the structure is just a lot but for me I was already like this oh like this way of life isn't hard for me some people will like for you like yes it was completely different he was kind of wild and out there and then completely changed go away a life going in here right yeah so late it started small and in it and I'm this is kind of like the finished product now but yeah when I first went in Carson shot and look he come back I don't came over to no cost no yeah but for me I was already kind of structured and it wasn't that much of an adjustment for me with the military I did have to get used to always so yeah that was Carson know we already had went well being alone with him being in the Army like being separated for a little stints of time and all that kind of stuff so that was really difficult I mean it was it wasn't the most pleasant thing but you get used to when you lit his life you get used to having the gold and stuff like that so yeah y'all got any more questions that we did not address in this video try a medium we'll try to address them if you have some one-on-one things you want to talk about as far as the military please feel free to ask us only thing I do ask is that if you are going to send messages about the military and all that please be serious I really hate getting the Carson just from people that just aren't serious they aren't really into joining they don't like the lifestyle they see but they don't want to put in any work towards what we do so if you aren't serious about working and putting in the time and effort that needs to go into achieving your goals in the military then don't waste my time or yours no no ain't no not come yet but they're crazy god I usually go cautious I usually get a lot of questions for females who want to join but once I started telling them like choir miss nobody else series ever know if you are serious and it's like you really in the process and you're like get recruits shooting you some information you just like is this true Wow like yeah hit me and I can point you in the right direction or it looks or stuff before you Carson we might have to go chase this baby so we'll talk to y'all in
