[Music] [Music] so yeah how was the exit the exit was good we are slightly current with us around the knoxville so and this apple is not the current in the past it's not depending on the high and low tide what do we figure out because for example yesterday the whole day the water flew out of the lagoon so it's more about the weather this well on the other side dropping the water in but we had we needed like an hour to take the power anchor out of the water which was wrapped around the body push the engine a little bit and then run quickly forward to the anchor bench and get a little bit angry once in a while not only sitting on the deck and relaxing so now we are out 43 miles to go hopefully we will manage it before sun and where are we going tahania we are going to tahania tania normally it's a good win to sail to mccabe directly but jana convinced me to say to this island it's supposedly one of the most beautiful islands because as there are no people living there corals and all the wildlife supposed to be there in swarms abundant wildlife we're gonna have hopefully hopefully not too many sharkies [Music] [Music] [Music] look at this huh looks like we we live in the boulogne good we were a little unlucky with the weather in tania and got a bit creative in the galley but after two days of rain we finally enjoyed some sunny spells [Music] [Music] the water in tahania was so clear and blue our keel even took over its color while at the same time some nosy sharks checked us out as we checked our anchor and the marine surroundings a bit [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] this was exciting hopefully and i got some nice videos me diving with the sharks it was quite interesting i must say yeah it's about one and a half meters biggest one it's northerly even northwesterly winds so we would really love to stay here but the northwesterly winds are really rare this region so um yeah so we're just continuing or just going as far east as possible today it's a bit of a shame that we actually didn't get to see more of tahania yesterday it was raining buckets literally and i actually collected a lot of rain that we are able to use today for some fresh water showers and but we are anchoring between the two passes here right now and uh the water visibility is really really really clear here and such a shame that we cannot just move anchor and explore a bit more because it's just going to be double way if we don't use the chance right now to go further east to head up to the marquises again [Music] [Music] yes [Music] tuna fillet today finally after months of catching not no fish at all got some two nice tunas that's not true i was catching fish with a spear gun a couple of days ago [Music] after a really really quality night um yeah we decided to make a stop here now in makimo in more westerly paths the wind just died totally in the beginning we could still do some sailing um but yeah just kept us up all night [Music] [Music] it [Music] deepest coconut jungler [Music] is i think you could spend all day here an umbrella some sunscreen and here you have your private pool once in a while you get a little wash from the sea in the back when it gets too hot [Music] [Music] is a little teeny teeny tiny sharkies here that's where they grow up look at them [Music] the little sharkies were barely an arm length long but looked like big ones underwater [Music] do [Music] do [Music] so we have three and a half miles to go until uh the middle part of the where we're gonna drop anchor tonight i'm a little bit on foamy watch here in the front um not all of them are charted there are a lot of poppies actually on the way to the southern pass where we want to go tomorrow to hopefully uh head off to uh [Music] we're probably not gonna make it in one in one tank but um if you would really like to go to uh because we've not seen those two islands yet which is supposed to be one of the most pretty ones and that's why um worth the effort attacking a little bit trying to get there which is actually quite is very nice hot inside the atolls and it's just stunningly beautiful and you just have these calm well covered with their beaches all to yourself it's just amazing that something like this like these little paradises untouched paradise is mostly only used that's it [Music] um [Music] it's all right um we are here on makimo near the village near the near the village and uh there are a lot of bombies around here and really nice corals so for protecting the corals and um yeah for protecting your actually your anchor chain rubbing around the coral hats you float your chain so this is how it looks like from above you just put some some fenders on it and then the chain is [Music] [Music] floated it'd be cool to fly that drone over this past during the rest of the swell just to see them but the wind is strong it's 15 to 20 knots so one more time by coincidence we met holly and her partner jana again in makimo both solar sailors that had met in panama after having started their travels in belgium and maine in the us now co-sailing each on their own floating little hole [Music] [Music] [Music] my [Music] the scattered coral rings we visited in the pacific are certainly a world of their own where time runs in a different pace you hear lots of laughter and chatting in the little atoll villages surrounded by hundreds of palm trees all shades of blue and the clearest waters you can imagine strangers are especially welcomed in the smaller atolls in question nosily as you saw in our previous episodes the proud inhabitants of the tuamutu even welcome you to their homes or to village events the next month and wonder why you aren't still there four weeks later due to poor cell phone coverage in many areas chatting and socializing takes up a whole bit of the day next to fishing in the colorful coral gardens swimming at the docks pearl farming copper business and keeping homes and gardens neat nobody wants to sell you anything and if supermarket shelves are empty you just gotta wait until the next supply ship from tahiti arrives if you enjoy the content of our videos and would like to become a little fish or a marine mammal supporting us and the condition of our window we'd be very happy to welcome you to tudor's group of patriots see you next time where you can jump on board watching us battle our way up to the mystic mountainous marquesas archipelago again this time to the bay of virgins on fato eva another almost unchanged paradise in the pacific ocean [Music]
