Are Junkyards WORTH It?

all right what is going on guys boosted beards I'm Lucas and today we are up here at our favorite salvage yard You Pull and Pay in Pittsburgh and today's video is going to be about our salvage yards worth it you know can you get like good parts at a good price yeah because we need some parts for the Chevrolet so we're going to go see if we can find some good finds today guys stay tuned we're going to try to make this video as interesting as we can for you guys but you know we're going through a junkyard pulling off old Parts if you like that kind of thing then that's why you're here I mean if not I mean it is what it is this is what you're getting so we got a couple of options come across this one it is the same color but most of the parts that we need are trashed of course the fender that we do need most it's pretty Shot Bed shot got a LS in there though might come get that all right this is our second option both of these vehicles are new to the lot they have been on the lot for about a day now so most of the parts are still on them I thought this one had leather seats from the picture but it does not has cloth seats but I mean check these out seat belt was cut out of on so that's why I'm here yeah these seats are not bad check these out I mean they need cleaned up and everything but take you guys over here to the other side you know usually these get tore up pretty bad right here you know just because you're getting in and out of it but this one's not in bad shape this is still fresh you could probably fix that might take them both it's not bad this one decent bed but check out this camper top it's missing the latch but I think we can fix that it's not bad not really in the camper tops but camper tops at this Salvage Ard are like 131 I mean that's not bad cuz I think these are like 500 bucks so I don't know maybe what I really like about this salvage yard they do have labels for the vehicles right on the side so this is what we're pulling the parts out of go ahead get these pulled out get back with you guys all right guys so we got the seats out front bolt was a they were both the Silverado Star Bits whatever but we ended up using a 15 mil for the front and 11 mil for the rears we got them all out but then we came across this so we're going to go ahead we're going to take this too man it's dusty in there so you know the Silverado is going to be my new work truck while the uh Subaru gets the ls swapped on to it so can't be a rubber liner looks pretty good it's pretty good shape it's not tore up needs cleaned up but you know hit it with a pressure washer it'll take care of it this looks like everything we're going to need out of this truck um again don't have the fenders and this bed is not great shape but honestly I wasn't expecting to get a bed while we were here cuz they're just hard to find for these trucks so now that we're finished up though we are going to go find our friend that came with us Cody you guys remember Cody from the last video the Pheasant hunt video um he is up here looking for Honda Civic stuff cuz he is a Honda Civic boy all right guys let's run and find him all right they got a square body around here somewhere you don't get many of these in the salvage yard you know usually Square bodies get picked up pretty quick the only thing I would want would be the seat but and be honest it looks a little rough we do got a guy that could reupholster it for us I don't know if we could fit this in the Silverado yeah this thing top of the bed's not in bad shape I mean the padding the foam's not bad in it guys the other side's a little bad but still got the engine in it but you know let's be honest nobody's taking that yeah this side's a little bad but I mean I do know a guy uh shout out to custom Concepts over Star City area might be able to have them redo these seats for us what do you guys think let me know if these are worth it leave in the comment section below let me know if I so oh they're power hm still don't like them however though at this why every time it's the one I need every time fresh full of blinker fluid come get it guys so up here at the upo and pay in Pittsburgh it's it's pretty huge they start off with truck sections and you got Imports uh Ford Chrysler Mercury um your truck and van sections usually the biggest here and then over there see if we can stop this cart over there where we were looking earlier that's where cars that most of the time are working their way out onto the lot and are not out here yet find what you're looking for man a couple things I'm looking for a I think it's an 85 so you had a cresc yeah should be somewhere around here knowing me I could have walked right past it not seen I say I could pull it up here real quick I'm already on their website yeah a lot of the people you meet here too are like super chill like I've never been up here and met someone who was like an [ __ ] you know usually like they're mostly good people you know they'll help you out you need to borrow tools sometimes you know this is that [ __ ] gay boy right there he [ __ ] you yeah get a shot of that [Laughter] ass what are you hospital oh no ST bro I've fallen I'm stuck in the car step bro oh wow look at this one does uh does this mean they're not coming on that's disturbing oh oh no no no it's not worth it it's not worth it that car stinks guys when you're up here I would recommend wearing gloves too when you're going through the cars cuz you never know what you might find we just found this in a blacked out Lexus check this out numbing cream a scale I'm sure this was used for cooking and then uh we found these yeah so you know always be careful when you're up here going through cars guys you never know what uh you know what the car was used for what's in the car you know and if these are dirty I mean you never know what the person had so I'm sure this was all used for legal stuff come on pull pull that's right now we're moving guys this what I'm talking about I get used to this how you doing buddy hi thanks for pulling me this one's got yes oh guys check this out thank God I am so hungry Cody Cody eat someone's in there all right so they do also have a used tire section here too not bad most of the tires are $21.99 they got them separated by rim size all right Malachi is looking for 275 4516 uh 27545 well I wouldn't buy that one guys oh man check it out they got the Lang Longs oh we'll show you guys so they do have more tires in here and they have batteries which is what Cody is looking for today but some of these they have pretty good deals on their batteries I just picked one up from here for the Silverado th000 cold cranking amps for like I think it was 25 bucks Bo guys all right guys so we found Cody's battery H7 so what you're going to want to do too you know you're going to want to look at these cold cranking amps look at all of this information on the top but you're going to want to also check what year the battery has on it you know the newer the better but that doesn't always tell you the battery is going to be good what's really cool about this place is they do check the batteries for you and you know they'll be able to tell you like what kind of shape the battery is in so but that is the one that he needs and that one looks good so we're going to grab that one guys how's it going man how you doing not too bad just uh filming another video for you guys yeah how's it going it's not too bad the last time we made a video I think you guys uh they shared it on the Instagram nice so that was pretty cool what they do offer outside too they do offer a crane too which is really handy you know if you got to load something in the bed of your truck bring it out here with the cart load it up on the crane crane it in the bed of your truck makes things super easy guys so you guys saw I got two seats not bad shape pretty dirty I'll clean them up not a big deal piece too all right guys back to it though I ended up spinning 6560 Cody ended up a little bit higher 21076 but he bought a battery with a $12 core uh 750 for each sun visor seems a bit High bumper cover 474 14 three pieces of interior trim $512 radiator with fans 6971 wow all right so what do you think was it worth it yeah it wasn't bad yeah the only thing I would say is seems a little bit high is the radiator with the fan what that radiator why cuz I can get them brand new for about 90 yeah yeah oh yeah you got $10 core on that thing too man it come out uh 8021 for that you guys should come up and check out you pull and pay up here in Pittsburgh this is the Eastgate uh location so we met these guys out in the yard earlier and uh we want to ask them you know is it worth it is it worth coming up to a salvage yard to get your parts N I think I think it's a good idea to come here because you can get good parts you know for very cheap yeah yeah yeah they're not bad we got a couple good deals I saw you got the transfer case too yeah what' you end up paying for that well I pay $120 yeah that's not bad I mean not facebook Marketplace there there cost a little bit more than that all right guys so with that being said we are going to get on out of here as always guys much love we gone
