Are Free Gifts a SCAM? - Rec Room Dumpster Diving

hello everybody i'm billy bob from bvr and today i am going to be doing rec room dumpster diving so obviously in rec room there's like rooms right that's the whole point you can make custom rooms and a lot of people make custom rooms and then upload them well you're probably able to guess that a lot of these custom rooms that are published aren't like super quality a lot of them are probably like empty or don't really have anything super cool in them we're just gonna be going through seeing what kind of rooms we can find uh basically i'm just gonna be joining a bunch of random rooms and seeing if they're good or not welcome to rec room dumpster diving basically what i'm mostly going to be looking for is like rooms that don't really have super professional thumbnails or just like random stuff like here look at this one wall climbers 9000 oh wait no it's 900 000 oh man climbed a wall so it looks like it's just a super tall wall i don't know let's go join and see all right for those of you who don't know i am rather well versed in the the art of climbing so oh man i see i'm not a big fan of these walls that are just like all grabbable i much prefer like courses that have holds and stuff because this is just kind of lazy but whatever there's a haulatar here oh well i mean i can like uh subscribe to bvr subscribe to yeah that's not going to save past this instance though but if anyone does join they'll hear my voice anyways let's start on this climb i'm not saying i'm gonna beat this because just climbing tall walls like this is not fun but we'll see how high i get wait is there someone up there dude i think there's something there i didn't know there was someone else in this instance oh my gosh i thought it was the only one here hi okay could you hear me that whole time someone else just joined down there which means they're gonna see my subscribe to bvr message so that's pretty cool i didn't this is like a room that people are actively joining it only has like uh it's only got like a thousand visits that's not too bad actually we're approaching the top of the first section here let's see oh my gosh this goes on so and there's another holotar here man they forgot to like save their holotars honestly from the looks of it i think i can get to the top of this pretty pretty quickly and we won't be wasting too much time let's just not fall there okay yeah i'm just gonna get to the top why not i gotta say i was not expecting to be doing this during this video but i just i yeah all right here we are coming up on the second section oh my gosh okay let me up can i not oh man they like disabled clamberg on that wall okay so oh i still do this whole section that's not too tall i guess maybe i should title this video climbing the largest vr wall in rec room and get half a million views like lizard dude oh my gosh when i looked up earlier and said oh that's not too far i was i was sorry mistaken and we made it i don't know why clambering is turned off on that object i had to like step forward physically but we made it all right overall that was a very large waste of time uh literally anyone with very basic maker pen knowledge could make this room in less than 10 minutes so uh i don't know why i climbed to the top but i i'm hoping maybe let's not do more infinite climb wall rooms all right all right here's a room called free gift for real i'm assuming is what the fr stands for this has 2 393 visits so i would bet a lot of money that all of the free gifts are gone oh okay there's people here are the gifts out here that's all i care about oh yo the gifts aren't out i mean i want i want this dawn film dude i want all the dawn film all right here's like a music radio uh you can see it was just taken off the invention store so is that moon so were these basketball hoops i'm assuming so is the pig bazooka thing that's supposedly at the end of that so is this basketball rack and so is the mood and sunset ships so this is another room that anyone with incredibly basic maker pen knowledge could make like in less than 10 minutes mostly because a lot of it is just inventions i i see i could do this parkour course but i think i'm gonna limit my garbage parkour course counter to one uh for today so we're just gonna move on to whatever's next all right new room we found the pick parkour climb i'm literally so stupid this very clearly says the epic parkour climb why did i say the pick parkour climb why did i say that the description has given me a lot of hope for the quality of this room okay i joined the room my eyes are shut i'm looking around in vr uh i will bet a lot of money that it's just infinite climbing walls with no holds on them i'm gonna open my eyes in three two one oh my gosh who would have guessed you know i don't want to just go around calling people's rooms trash but uh seriously how many rooms are there where people just make a cube set it to be climbable and then just make it really tall like you can put more effort in than in that i believe in you all right this one on the new tab is called sonic laser tag this one looks decently high quality case you don't know i'm a i'm i'm a bit of a sonic fan myself so if this blows me away or i mean even if it's not that cool if it has like sonic stuff in it it'll probably i'll probably like oh my gosh that's probably sonic so it might not be as cool as i make it out to be but i guess we'll see oh my gosh oh this actually hey man the dumpster diving part of this is actually coming true like i think i might have found something cool you know i gotta say this does not instantly make me think of like sonic but it it's kinda yeah let's see i'm seeing some like chaos emerald podiums up here can i get up there nope okay wait no we can jump on these platforms and then they come up here yeah here we are oh man all right what happens well now we just need to know what happens if we put all the chaos emeralds in the right places green one goes there and then we are missing two all right well looks like we're going on a journey to find these the white and light blue chaos emeralds oh that okay so this is some this is a nice outline of like junior sonic pretty cool stuff i don't know this doesn't like stand out to me as sonic first thing i guess but it's definitely like oh man you're not looking too good man we can buy a sonic funko pop a super sonic funko pop and a sonic.exe funko pop okay you know i feel like finding these last two chaos emeralds would be a bit easier if i actually like knew where the other ones were wait there's one right there is that hold up hold up it's just like floating it must all right got it this is the purple one i thought i already had the purple one yeah this is the purple one so then this must be the white one the lighting was just making it look more purple so that makes a lot more sense actually we just need the light blue one now if it's just floating around like that other one i happen to see i don't know about this wait i found it it was sitting on the couch i was like is it in the lobby baby and i just went back to check there one more time and i found wait wait okay hold on hold on also this is definitely the dark blue one which means that the current one in the dark blue section is actually the light blue one all the emeralds there wait do i just need to position it better or like do i do i genuinely get nothing for doing this that'll be so sad i don't know if i'm missing something or if i'm just being really stupid but uh it looks like the chaos emeralds genuinely do nothing so that's really great let's this you know this room wasn't too bad it it's it's it's pretty cool it's a nice little laser tag map i like the the sonic theming i like kind of the side quests of finding the chaos emeralds i just wish they actually did something when you found them okay i don't know if this classifies as dumpster diving because this one has almost 20k visits but this is minecraft climb uh i guess we're gonna i guess we're gonna see if this is another garbage climber if it's an actually good one oh man it's another garbage one okay we're stepping back from that how much do you want to bet this bed uh this diamond sword in the wall the only like actual and even this torch the only like actual complex shapes in here how much you want to bet their inventions drum roll please oh look at that minecraft swords minecraft bed minecraft torch they are all even the music here there's a chest somewhere so i'm not gonna be doing this main climb because it's another garbage wall but i guess we'll start with this hard climb because it does not look very hard you you don't even need to throw yourself here really really difficult climb so far i'm so scared to throw myself on these torches because i'm my hand is just going to phase through them just because of how wonky their hitboxes are oh my gosh i lagged midway through that jump i don't know if that's gonna show up on camera but that was almost really bad i made it okay well i did the hard climb on my first try wrinkly moose 670. i i will here i have a challenge for you i have a proposal for you okay okay come follow me so this climb right here you can grab onto these torches and then throw yourself to grab on to the next one right you see what i'm doing if you can do this on your in one of your first three tries i will gift you a four star box for free no strings attached go further record once you throw yourself off of this it will begin your first attempt all right all right okay okay you know how about this instead of doing this harder one we can go over here to this easy one you have three attempts to do this if you do it on your first three tries i'll give you a four star box for free your final will you make the jump really it's okay well you did your best no four star rocks for you but for participating i will i will go ahead and give you a uh three star box anyways because i'm just i'm just super nice what do you get you are actually nice i know i'm the coolest person ever look it's that's gonna be your new outfit yes you are actually i know i'm really awesome i know thank you for stroking my ego actually yeah okay i'm gonna go now this is getting weird all right well not only did we come to this minecraft room absolutely decimate this easy climb uh we also gifted some kid a three star box even though he failed the very basic challenge i set for him so it's been a pretty good day overall i found another room largest climb this is the tallest in the game but like i don't wanna i don't wanna do this wall of doom oh my gosh they're all garbage climbing courses why come on guys can we get some actually good climbing courses in here rio when are we getting the summit too we need more actually good climbing courses please all right well that certainly was an interesting time to say the least we found some good rooms we found some bad rooms we found some really bad rooms we found some really weird rooms and we gave away a box so uh that's this was a weird video there's a ton of new rooms coming out constantly so if you guys want to see more of this
