hi welcome to simply scoober the apex black sapphire regulator is their 40th anniversary limited edition regulator we start with the first stage the first stage is made out of a titanium blend of of metal which makes it nice and lightweight but still perfect for cold water these regulators were designed for sustains repeated cold water diving and also diving in in contaminated waters the first stage itself has been designed with a very little clever design very smart design and yeah as I said earlier it's it's environmentally sealed which makes it perfect for cold water and diving in contaminated water as well the hoses leaving off to their primary is on a very easy swivel and a nice braided hose which has a higher burst pressure than conventional rubber hoses and they're also much much more flexible than traditional rubber hoses moving down to the second stage again another swivel on the second stage just to make it a bit easier to keep in your mouth the regulator is effectively a apex XTX 200 but with little tweaks just to make it a little bit better in performance all over the front cover has again a metallic finish to it which will improve the cold water performance while still having the nice large purge button which is nice and easy to use with gloves this step second stage has a venturi adjustment lever so that will stop it from free-flowing on the surface and it also has a diver in water bereavement adjuster so you can make it a little bit easier to get some air or a little bit stiffer to breathe from this regulator comes with Apex pump 4-byte mouthpiece which is nice and easy to bite onto and it's not too deep so it doesn't end up poking too far back into your mouth each regulator comes with two different exhaust ports so you can actually remove this one and go for a lower profile profile one that's kept in the box so the Black Sapphire is a wonderful Coldwater regulator they're great for British diving great for sustained Coldwater diving that's what they've been designed for their limited edition these are their 40th anniversary regulators and they're just a really nice set of rigs that's the black fire there's black sapphire regulators thanks for watching
