Antique RV at The Cloud Museum in Bard California - Model T's and More!

today we are in bard California that's B ard bard California and just because the post office looks a little bit on Captain doesn't mean it's not up and running it's I drove by it and I thought that place looks abandoned but I went in the I mailed stickers stickers recently in the last week or two that's they were ready he's got him ready the other day and there was a convenient post office came into town so they're on their way now we have somewhere else down the road here to go might be interesting welcome back everybody check this place out probably the world's largest collection of Model T's another thing I looked ahead on this one a little bit and there's a it's not just Model T's there's all kinds of just all kinds of stuff here I've been meaning to do this for weeks I'm gonna go check this out I don't even know where to start here there is so much stuff in there including a Motorhome an RV an old 1930 or V here somewhere I got to find it but the extent of this is crazy I mean the amount of vehicles I think that is here and look how many spare wheels good old wooden spoke wheels all these farm implements let me see where's [Music] okay an old wagon pretty nice where where do I want to what would I see it at I actually I think I'm gonna Oh I come up here a little bit come up here a little bit but I turn around Wow that will must been for running cable or water lines or something but this seems to be like the truck section yeah let's stop here by here City maybe a flatbed for hauling furniture I don't know oil barrels a big tank on the back of this one yeah quite a collection the trucks like the little round rear window [Music] a little dump truck I'm good at actually we're going to come back around the front of this look at these all trucks [Music] and somewhere there's a bunch of cars [Music] Wow look at all these things this is crazy [Music] could ever could ever think there be this many vehicles of this era in one place you know if you needed parts how many little deals in some parts I would think oh police car city of San Luis 1936 wow I love this more spare wheels [Music] okay [Music] okay love together this building here see if yeah I saw I seen a couple of things online we're gonna sold the slot machine it took nickels but here's something I wanted to see is um these old wood stoves I mean there were some pretty fancy ones once upon a time well they're still people to collect these things and have to get pretty big in pretty fancy [Music] love wood stoves no toys old cast-iron toys look at this little tricycle [Music] wow this is a pretty cool collection an old pocket watches I think this thing was a is a coffee grinder I believe yeah national coffee mill Elgin national coffee meal you can do that same thing with much smaller equipment these days can't lean weighs a couple hundred pounds and look here are some antique boat motors I have I actually have one of my own that I almost had running it's back in Pennsylvania I don't see see the exact model [Music] I'd have to say it was pretty similar to oh this might be it here actually yeah this was pretty familiar I think it's I think that's I remember what it is now but Johnson five maybe [Music] that's pretty extensive bottle collection there you know old rollerskate well that's an oldie Wow old batteries I have never seen glass batteries before I didn't know they existed until just now Wow with LED straps four connectors I've never seen a glass battery before huh the address here is 1925 memory lane [Music] Wow while does that a little organ sewing machine well is this one of them things that women would make like like dresses on I'd like that waistline it's a tiny waistline [Music] Wow [Music] well let's move on here a little bit my you know I could drive something like this you think I'm kidding let's find one that might be suitable yeah I knew there was some nicer ones under roof here somewhere no I didn't talk to the owner okay wait a minute wait a minute talk about spare parts okay tools horns these are probably the center wheel cap or will not a bunch of carburetors Wow [Music] Wow distributors doesn't pride Magneto's and tell lights some of them had I don't I don't know about the lights I think a lot of them had like a single light on the back [Music] Wow excuse me if I say Wow a lot in this video I wonder how many of these run I bet all from day these ones see now this would be cool maybe the old rusty patina that was still manic mechanically sound you nice pickup truck you know I can drive that thing back and forth listen be a grocery getter yeah I didn't something like app I don't know one of these cars would be pretty cool too but I'm not so crazy about the paint I mean it's cool and everything but something original kind of looking yeah yeah something about an air-conditioned [Music] but something that condition but maybe in a truck or a smaller car [Music] huh look there's some little tricycles up error I'm spinning some kind of baby buggy and a scooter Oh ever some right above me I didn't even see it [Music] Wow there we go okay don't be counting how many times I say well here now that's quite a scale huh apply to scale because some blacksmith in class [Music] and that blacksmithing just fools place to do some hammering and bending and thing for reef wreaths reading the repair shop little drill press over there another drill press over there lots of hand tools [Music] good this way old washing machines I think the outhouse is out of service [Music] plenty of gas pumps around here we may have hit the jackpot oh sorry look at all these now the owner shame on me I didn't catch his name really nice guy he said it started with I believe he bought his dad's Model T he's had it for over 50 years oh yeah I gotta remember to find that RV yeah these obviously was a little bath yeah they're just dusty I'm sure these would clean up beautifully I still have a nice glossy paint [Music] now there's a pickup truck yeah I could drive something like that I guess pink nice paint would be okay there's a convertible pickup truck look at all the gas pumps jeez yeah and the ones over here kind of rough looks like the first thing to do or the first thing to go is the tops on the tops for cloth or wooden so that's my thought opps are missing [Music] look at the look at the cars up there and tractors tricycles car baby buggies [Music] so yeah the entire collection it's not all Model T's but there's an old Chevrolet it's a Chrysler I may have missed something here there's a hillbilly wagon here okay I think this was put together with pieces and parts in theater including me and on some of this here I got the old gas can I think there's an old steel some pieces and parts yeah it's an old steel he calls this a hillbilly wagon yeah some of these are really nice and beautiful and some a little rough yeah there's Springs down here from this seat check out these lamps one on each side little windshield wiper up here pretty cool not only had a windshield oh these were hand operated see the handles on the inside the glass and the wipers on the outside [Music] so while most of these are forbs ya come across actually be in there he just read through here pulling it out where does this do to Baker yeah let's do the Baker for doors city and that's what that was and I think use a couple of dodges up here there's a Chevrolet the Dodge Brothers made but made that one [Music] quite a collection [Music] you're something getting uh getting a new life [Music] okay I think there's a a let me see somewhere around here I think there's a truck that looks like the Beverly The Beverly Hillbillies truck we're going to try to find that and the RV okay this one every year I don't think is uh no it's not a Motorhome I think it's a school bus okay yeah a Dodge an old Dodge school bus cages to keep the water ones in or out it was prison bus spare parts there is just so much to see here and he says he likes to keep them all you know he drove every one of these in here now something's arrived here in parts as parts and had been put together from all the parts that he has but he says yeah and look okay there's there's battery cables here recently had a battery in this one I see new nuts and bolts battery cables in that one battery cables there okay I think I missed the big section let's go back over here real quick I have to get to that RV I mean I told an interesting story about the Beverly hillbilly I asked him if he had a old truck like the Beverly hillbilly truck and he said I think he said that was his grandfather's truck that the movie company actually bought that he'd he made some modification to the truck for an orchard and then the movie and they become and he bought it [Music] I'm not real good at remembering stories [Music] gas pumps typewriters headlights okay clouds mercantile Oh check out that old wood stove I'm not kidding you I had this exact wood bung it spot-on made a lot of heat with that over time and all the cool cast iron stuff for fine making some kind of biscuits or I don't know meat grinders water pumps well pumps I love these little stoves I'm gonna scale it away your stuff out some old fun device cash register that's it get your goods and be on your way now I'm gonna follow this this fella I think I'm gonna have a treat here he's gonna start one of these up they don't care for you running them huh [Music] [Music] [Music] that old stuff an old roller a greater farm equipment and there's an old Ford sandcrawler that's some tractors here Ford sons [Music] Wow I had to throw it what another Wow in there you'd never figured as many of these still exist and well in one place I'm sure they're still the collectors around it maybe have a couple maybe a dozen maybe two but there are 200 vehicles here 200 plus I believe here it is here is the house car back in a day they didn't call motor homes or RVs yet they called him a house car and up has propane and I think the story is that he bought this off of his mother's teacher in California I think they took it up to Parker Arizona for a while our family house was being built and then when the house was built he drove it back down from Parker back down to here down to the farm [Music] only about this passenger seat seatbelts but look you know front shades overhead storage storage over there a nice box I'm sure I would think that the latch still looks nice look at that it's still cold in here actually that's because it was a cool night that's fantastic roof roof vent [Music] but check this out there's an alarm outside on the gate but check this out a nice sink in for some kind of lamp candle or LAN room bottle opener running water lights or overhead storage you handle things very gently things don't work nice need a stove an oven place Prince overwhelm that kind of stuff drop some plates I love the oven no pressure cooker and a wardrobe or dresser yeah a dresser and overhead stove might be yeah potty on that side bunk beds a sink on this side how cool is this more lights overhead storage on each side another roof vent and this is probably the Wardrobe yeah I see a couple hangers yeah I know it's dark couple hangers in there this thing's really cool that let's do something to be calm do a restoration on just go through to make it healthy again not get nothing too fancy too fancy with it I think he said this was a 1930 or 1931 I think it was made by a company in Los Angeles they seen another one somewhere he's also made Los Angeles [Music] so yeah that must have been like the propane on the far side and this must been where the water tank was at maybe I know how you'd pressurize it but [Music] very cool ford model a house car yeah 1930-31 history was purchased spot and by my father from my mother school teacher in Parker Arizona okay I had that a little bit sideways but pretty cool I don't know what else to see here [Music] horse-drawn carriages [Music] yeah this place is pretty nice see see let me see he drives around in that and his golf cart thing I don't know man I'd be tempted uh there's not pieces of parts around hers to make something more vintage had electric start and like make one of these half scale to run around then you know if I had these I just I don't know I'd be happy to take a little drive around I'm sure he's had his share of fun but play doesn't have that itch anymore to just be driving him all the time you know I'm sure we're back in the day well he said he's driven every one of these here all the ones that were complete they were on one inconditional and drove them here [Music] oh and the building itself was a gas station he told me where it was somewhere somewhere over in other side of California it was a gas station I thought it kind of looked like a diner [Music] now it was originally originally a gas station [Music] and tire changing equipment and Jax yeah it would be good to have some fire fighting equipment at a gas station [Music] yeah that's Lido torch [Music] I guess this is called these things are just called the Toledo torch and he told me that these are used for along like highway detours you know back in a day like we would see those what do you call that they have the flashing yellow lights on them like a horse that has a like a work horse that has a as battery-operated flashing lights they put these along the road those warnings but Toledo torch still feels pretty heavy maybe it's got stuff in it kerosene or something [Music] fold will barrels and scales milk jugs [Music] okay I think there's this one last building I did not make it into [Music] [Music] I don't know [Music] Model T runabout the new price was four hundred and forty dollars the Model T delivery man delivery van [Music] more wood stoves [Music] yeah I'd have my little man cave out here and help when he's cleaned off a little bit and place like I could make coffee late morning coffee sit out here and admire all my stuff and drink coffee [Music] more wood styles I love old wood stoves [Music] I thought I was done but there's one really cool thing here that I really like but and it's this big shovel here I guess you'd just call that an excavator I don't know I like it it reminds me of a childhood storybook don't remember what it was called dr. foundation and couldn't get out with a foundation it didn't leave this will sit sulfur a way out so it just retired and acted as the wood stove a coal stove in the wintertime and that's where that old steam shovel retired actually a happy story I think we're done here and I like these kind of places these kind of country places either your honor system here I used to get eggs a lot like this two dollars a bag yeah the all the bag juicy fruit so I don't know you see here I'm guessing these are grapefruits and I don't know these are a little bit like I'm gonna Dan dreams or what these look a little bit bigger like oranges I don't know my citrus very well but I'm gonna put my two dollars in here and then see what I want maybe a bag maybe a nice bag of these other grapefruits [Music] I thought grapefruits were all yellow like this these are Oh Marsh white grapefruits and marsh ruby grapefruits and I'll be doing great grapefruits I can eat them but I'm not crazy about it and one of these marsh marsh white grapefruit no it's all grapefruits I don't have to pick something cuz I don't I can't get my two dollars back in a marsh like grapefruits although these might be that's okay these might be marsh white grapefruits I don't know I wonder if they have a grapefruit typical grapefruit taste I guess I'll be finding out [Music] huh all right we'll be on our way miles probably wonder and what the heck I've been doing I guess there's only one way to find out Oh bills easy I'll just yeah and grapefruits weren't that bad they're not my favorite but these might be different a different variety I've never tried before so I just to see what who they are juicy oh my god and fresh you know they're just really bad I can give them away give them away to my friends oh excuse me door I'm kind of hurting this [Music] [Music] these are actually pretty good they don't have that real strong bitter grapefruit thanks definitely a mild or sweeter grapefruit so that's good and good for me so it's kind of odd I found this place just here in a Yuma just north of Yuma a little ways it's actually in California amongst all the agriculture agricultural area but we need to get going I think we've got another camps spot in mind and if I find the right one we may find meet up with friends again for a while just a day or two kind of odd finding you're not kind of this museum just out here on someone's farm and you're gonna have to run museum where else would you put it right right on your own farm but you know we're gonna get go and we have another campsite to get to that I'm not sure where it's at just yet so we're gonna get moving Wow that might have been in the longest video I ever made it ended up being in a long day made it to camp I'm gonna cut it right here as
