hello everybody richard michael owen here at the goodwood revival we're going to do another paddock walk but i begin at a very very popular display of vintage ferraris and yeah there's a gto that's starting up over there so big crowds here today and i'm gonna try to cover some of the paddock i didn't cover in my first video so just tucked away here is a sweet little 166 marquetta and next to that a big ferrari grand prix car [Music] and these gentlemen here about to start up this other grand prix car which should be a pretty tremendous sound let's be patient what a lovely sight that is okay everything's gonna be pretty crowded now with that car starting two amazing competition cars here uh 250 gto in tourist trophy livery now these guys are warming up this amazing 64 gto [Music] so there's a lot of interest in the fries this morning it's good to see i love seeing everybody in period dress it's really really romantic site here at goodwood look at the ferrari's just poking out here probably 275 p2 i think this might be an overall winner i hear those ferraris in the background look at that gto is poking out back there let's venture in a little deeper here [Music] it's pretty smoky in here but yeah look at that wow two 250 gtos i'm just gonna make my way through [Music] [Music] this is the 1958 overall lama winner works competition ferrari [Music] owned by the kaduri's great custodians for this car these guys are rolling in the grand prix car now and yeah that's a tour of the ferraris so now i'm gonna make an attempt to show some of the cars i missed on my first paddock walk i gotta find my way in okay hope those guys won't mind me recording because there's a dress code here they're trying to keep everything period correct and uh my camera here camera isn't that period correct yeah hi guys good morning okay so here we are this is the paddock area they line up all the cars by type i'm surrounded by an absolutely amazing array of single-seaters for the richmond and gordon trophies [Music] look at the sight here look at that wow [Music] okay i gotta keep moving [Music] got a whole bunch of cobras i showed everybody yesterday along the way here [Music] porsche 904 here warming up [Music] yesterday i skipped over the corvettes people want to see these cars so let's have a look we got a 1963 and 64 stingray and a 1965 stingray big american v8 cars [Music] this one with the yellow headlight covers okay now over here to my left is one of the most amazing cars here in goodwood it's a brm v16 one and a half liter and the sound this thing makes driving around the course is really otherworldly [Music] [Music] see you're sleeping this is the exhaust it runs right out the bottom here what a fascinating design this is one cylinder head amazing people said they also wanted to see some cockpits well here you go look at that brn b16 cockpit i have some footage of this running around the track it's just the most impressive sound coming from 1.5 liters okay i'm going to continue on so i'm gonna leave the main paddock area uh people here today there's a whole bunch of cars here lined up for the next race [Music] okay bear with me there's good stuff all around here [Music] so yesterday i walked to the mgb so the lavender cup i raced later for later today but this time i'm gonna follow this paddock here i'm gonna look at some of the big bangers but look at this one of the world's best austin heelys 100s so beautiful i just love the grill on these things the color scheme painted wire wheels wonderful and now we're going to get into a lot of v8 powered specials listers coopers and onto the ford gt40s [Music] so we have a set of cooper jaguar t-33s so i thought these were v8 power but they're actually jaguar-powered look at the bodywork on this [Music] wow going behind have a rear view this aluminum body work is just gorgeous all right then we've got some cooper bob tails [Music] it's a center seat sports car or almost center let's have a look is it in the center yeah it's in the center what a driving position [Music] and we have some more cooper cooper climax t-39 bobtail so three bob tails then we get into the v8 stuff we got the cooper ford big ford in behind there and then we move on to the gt40s this is a prototype gt40 look at that these are for the whitson trophy [Music] yeah wonderful line of gt40s here at goodwood [Applause] so yeah if you guys don't know you can watch the live stream of these happening on the goodwood road and racing website and they do an amazing job of showing these things racing in anchor oh look at this one scraped the chicane a little bit [Music] okay and then moving on down to some lola t70s i believe yeah exactly and oh you have a car coming through what's coming through here look at that ford cortina okay continue on lola t70 chevrolets amazing amazing cars interesting you can see the different intake manifolds on these this is the chevrolet power and then over here to my left we have i'm not sure if this is chevrolet power but we have the downdraft weber sticking out let's continue on there's a lot of stuff i want to show everybody i can't make this video too long okay uh so we're continuing on with the the 70s that we move on to the mclaren m1b's one two three four five mclaren m1bs [Music] five of them wow and then we have at the end here some mclaren chevrolet m1a so this is the earlier version of the mclaren look at those two m1as okay that wraps it up for the big bangers now if you guys are willing and i'm gonna go walk over to the other side here where there's a lot of other very interesting cars so we can see the shops here there are so many retail outlets here at goodwood it's a temporary mall this is park fermey to my right the racing hasn't started but after the car's finished they'll all sit here for 10-15 minutes in case the stewards want to investigate any infractions large drinking area there's drinking areas everywhere here in england this is kind of neat it's like a vintage earls court motor show building i did a tour of it but it's mostly modern cars okay hang on with me everybody i'm taking you somewhere good i promise i'm gonna speed up here if you think this is a lot of people wait till high noon you cannot even walk around see these people checking out the map it's pretty convenient it's pretty massive we're in the infield here we just passed the packs we're going up this way [Music] huh look at that coffee out of an army truck fantastic so yeah i'm going to show you something good hold on i promise so there are tunnels to get to and from the infield here and later on these just get totally packed and slow believe it or not this is pretty light traffic here at goodwood um some more stands restoration facilities parks restoration here have a pretty amazing austin if it's still here yeah look at this austin [Music] are they restoring right now yeah have a look at this austin hot rod well done you can check out stewart and what they're doing parks restoration on instagram he's a big fan of the early early cars and his bikes okay i got to the good stuff i got to the good stuff thanks for hanging in with me people i think there's some good stuff to check out around here this line right here is amazing it's for the magic cup we got maseratis we got specials all the way down here and a bunch of lotuses to my right and then to my left here we have three aston martin db3s and a bevy of jaguar c types have a look at the c-types okay so back to the maseratis two a6 gcses one of the most beautiful racing cars of the 50s what a wonderful sight here at goodwood wow [Music] and we have actually two more asics gcs's so four of them whoa that's surprising and then when maserati shut down the brothers kept going and they kept going under the name oscar so it's really neat to see these two together because this is kind of the evolution of the maserati brand into oscar and this little oscar is simply fantastic i see lots of patina going on here we can see the little tag here for the original coach builder the body morelli wow i like everything about this little oscar just pull back look at that okay interiors you want to see interiors there you go pretty simple what else do we have here should i still keep filming what do you say okay let's do it so what i've got here is this another oscar this is an erimini specialist little italian sports car 1100cc probably fiat derived see the badge here then i'll pull back and we get ho ho something that has my heart in ac ace bristol this doesn't really look like an aca's bristol look at the front nose and how it protrudes wow okay i want to go check this ac's bristol out seems like it has the same hood an interior a lot of stuff in there look at that and it's different at the rear as well look at that touring club venezuela this car comes from wow we've got a veritas bmw power pre-war pre-war power and a post-war body that's the way i would describe veritas and the keefed climax 1100. look how low slung that is side exhaust next oh there's two keeps here today i think this one actually won the magic cup yesterday it sounded glorious [Music] these wheels are uh interesting split design well into some real specials here now these are all one ups i don't know anything about this it's called a buckler dd1 from 1954 and then we have a tajiro bristol so this could be a prototype an acs prototype i'm not sure definitely see the nod to the bristol there in the bmw round off what an unusual car oh i recognize the car beside it yeah i'm enjoying this telero bristol so next to it is a very famous till euro it's uh the car that really provide the seed for the ac and the ac ace this is loi 500 a special from 1953 and yeah for all intensive purposes this is the ac ace prototype it looks just like a ferrari 166. you can definitely see where john taliero got his tajero sorry got his inspiration for the acas here even at the rear okay so that is one spectacular line of automobiles here at goodwood but there's even more so right here we have two allards big cadillacs and then we have a line of fraser nash's bristol powered and this is the same car with all enveloping body work it's called the fraser national amelia from 1951 and it has the most stunning all-enveloping bodywork [Music] wow well have we seen enough what do you say let's keep going let's keep going now if we keep going down this way i think there's some spectacular sights but it's going to take me a while to walk down there so bear with me bear with me we got the kids racing pedal cars oh man this is awesome [Music] oh that's just wonderful and okay yeah this is cool bear with me coming into view eventually are gonna be 100 austin sevens chummies ulsters of all makes and varieties they just came back from a parade lap picking up the pace i'm picking up the pace hold on with me everybody a little bit of breeze here this is the goodwood airfield and there are spitfires lined up over there they'll probably be taking off at the end of the day okay i can't cover all these awesome sevens but we'll have a good look i think racing is about to start on track and it's just behind them here so it could get pretty loud yeah look at all the austin sevens here i'll slow my pace down a bit i love the little van and a little aluminum sports racer version have a look at this okay here race that just started so it's going to get a little loud you might not be able to hear me so well look at all the austin sevens here [Music] so yeah this was basically the model t of england this is how everybody got around an affordable little runabout i'd call it well there are a lot of them here [Music] oh here's a swallow austin seven it's where jaguar started the swallow sidecar company re-bodying austin sevens and here's one right here just want to describe this card before the race passes by behind me but yeah that's pretty amazing yeah jaguar was swallow in the pre-war era so that's one of the very first jags behind me race is going on it's a good day here at goodwood holy smokes look at this design on this austin seven it's another swallow but an open car two-tone lovely [Music] okay we're 22 minutes in are you guys still with me oh wow look at the van wonderful site here at goodwood look at that the austin 7 grasshopper from 1935. i'm picking at the engine here it's tiny see a tiny engine down there okay well i've reached the end of the sounds but we're still gonna keep going because up at the north end of the infield is a really tremendous sight so we've got spitfires here mixed with bugattis really enjoying that site i have to say this is my third day here at goodwood and i'm just blown away i love the atmosphere so much enthusiasm for racing it's been a total privilege
