[Music] welcome welcome to TMP if it's your first time here could we just see a show of hands rope here's your first time you raise the high raise and I raise it higher welcome welcome welcome welcome TMP I always share this every month because we're not like we're not a local church so a lot of times people don't come every single month and we have a lot of people that come when they're from out of town people with someone just came up to me today and said I flew in from New York I was like man I'm sorry if we disappoint you right but for those of you guys who's your first time here it is our vision and our conviction to gather the hungry and broken and to provide a space for people like David who was in the wilderness dry and weary but he said I am hungry for the things of God he said in this dry and weary land where there is no water I have beheld your temple so we started as prayer gathering once a month to gather people who are hungry to gather people who are thirsty to gather people who are yearning for the things of God cuz I believe though our culture is going south there is a remnant of God's people who are on fire for the things of God whenever you see the things getting dark in culture there's always a select few people who on fire for God Daniel Shadrach Meshach Abednego Jeremiah Isaiah Deborah está a few as disturb that ghetto came in me right but there's a few people who are burning with fire and I believe God is collecting these coals that are separated individually so that when we come together was burning within comes out like a flame and burns with the fire of God and as our desire to gather those people because it's so funny like all these people who were like on fire for God they come in here and they're like oh I feel so renewed I feel so refreshed someone told me I don't know if it's a good metaphor but they said TMP feels like a place where people are spiritually constipated I was like yeah I don't know where you're going with this but they can come and release their faith to God right I don't know you call it what you want but release your fire to the things of God amen last month we started a sermon series and the series was birthed out of again the heart of David and we started from first Samuel 16 and the reason why we're going through the life of David was because I have been so inspired by this man by no means is he perfect man by no means is he sinless he is a man filled with sins and flaws and problems but there was something unique and distinct about him and we talked about this last month the biggest distinction about David from every other person to ever to live is that he was called a man after God's own heart he was called a man after God's own heart which means that he felt the things that God felt and acts 13 as says he was a man after God's own heart who did the will of God which means that he obeyed the things that God wanted but in essence everyone say essence come everyone say essence look at your neighbor and say essence in essence what made him different was that he loved God he loved God how do you measure success in life everyone has a measuring stick high school kids measure their success in life but how popular they are seniors in high school and seniors in college they measured their success by what schools that get into people about my age they measured their success by their bank accounts they measure their success by their prestige and the name and the money and the income but David he measures success for how closely he was walking with God come on somebody he measured his success in life by how closely am i walking with God all the days of my life one thing have I asked of the Lord one thing that I would seek after all the days I don't say all the days now some days not Sunday not Wednesday not youth days all the days of my life that I would dwell in the house of the Lord so what separated David from every other person to ever live in the old testament was that he said I love you God did you know in all of the Bible especially in the Old Testament only David was the one that ever said those three words I love you to God Psalm 18 1 I love you Lord o my strength and Peter was the second person the only other person that say you know that I love you because David what made him different was though he was imperfect he had a longing for the heart and the things of God and when God saw he found someone special he found someone so special that he called his messianic title the son of David so do not measure your life success about what our society says do not measure your success come on now by what your parents say do not measure success by what you see on Instagram because half a dads fake anyways measure success by how closely and how intimately and how lovingly you are walking with God in the very moment that you are in I can't hear you guys and that's what David longed for not perfectly but earnestly and because of that God anointed him as king anointed him through Samuel as king and God appointed him okay we're not we're gonna going into my message now for the years to come to be the king of Israel that would do the things that God wanted him to do so last month we saw Samuel anoint him as a little boy unbeknownst to saw because Saul was going to kill him and today we're going to begin to see now how God begins to prepare and how God begins to train David to become the leader and the king of Israel but the vision of TMP is not only for the hungry and broken together but it's also to raise up spiritual leaders from Maker Kingdom impact it's also to raise up people who make an impact wherever God has placed you not just in their four walls of church but in the four corners of the earth come on now and we're gonna see how God begins to prepare and train David to walk into the anointing that God has given him to fulfill let's go to First Samuel chapter 16 First Samuel chapter 16 if you know this passage Saul has been rejected David has been anointed and Saul is tormented by a demon spirit he is tormented by these neurotic experiences where he is so unstable emotionally and psychologically he begins to act crazy and they end up getting David to come to play the harp and to play music so that this demonic spirit would leave when David begins to worship but as we go into let's look at verse 14 now the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul and a harmful spirit from the Lord began to torment him and Saul's servants said to him behold now a harmful spirit from God is tormenting you let our Lord now command your servants who are before you to seek out a man who was skillful and playing the lyre and when the harmful spear from God is upon you he will play it and you will be well so saul said to his servants provide for me a man who can play well and bring him to me one of the young men answered behold I have seen a son of Jesse the birth elamite who is skillful in playing a man of Valor a man of war prudent in speech and a man of good presence and the Lord is with him therefore saul sent messengers to jesse and says send me david your son who was with the sheep and Jesse took a donkey laden with bread and a skin of wine and a young goat and sent them by David his son to Saul and David came to saw and entered his service and Saul loved him greatly and David became his armor-bearer and Saul sent Jesse Saul sent to Jesse saying let David remain in my service for he has found favor in my sight and whenever the harmful spear from God was upon Saul David took the lyre and played it with his hand so saw was refreshed and well in the harmful spirit departed from him what we see first in verse 14 is that now the Spirit of the Lord had two-parter from saw and a harmful spirit from the Lord had tormented him now follow me here go up one verse verse 13 and it says then Samuel took the Horn of oil and anointed David and the midst of his brothers and the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David and from that day forward and Samuel rose up and went to Rama this is a fascinating passage because while the Spirit of God leaves Saul it simultaneously falls upon David but it's weird because David is not yet king but he has the anointing and so is king but he doesn't have the anointing in other words you can be appointed and not have the anointing you can have the position and not have the presence of God you can have materialistic blessings that you could be financially blessed and you could be prestigious and powerful in the eyes of man but behind the scenes the anointing had departed from you this is a generation I feel more than ever is gauging and looking towards those things we want a promotion we want the we want the position and we want the glory and we want the appointment but we don't have the anointment come on now and that is a dangerous thing to have the appointment and the office but not have the presence of God but in the same way follow me David is anointed but he is yet not appointed I'm not just trying to say cool things what this means is that the anointing of the Holy Spirit fell upon David to become king but there was a gap between the time he was anointed and the time that God wanted to appoint him why because there were certain things that had to take place before he was launched to become king there are certain experiences that he had to grow through there are certain things character things he had to go through there were certain rejections that he had to go through because though you have a passion from God and though you have the gifts from God though you have the anointing from God is a difference between God's will and God's timing there's a difference between having the things of God in you and God allowing you to execute upon you so that you can walk in the things he has in store for you I have something to tell you guys in this room all of you guys are anointed to do things for God every single one of us have these things in our hearts that our hearts burn for right there's people in this room you look at someone and you look at something and you feel things in your heart is longing for those things and you've had moments when God has confirmed I have called you to do that I have called you to serve I have called you to preach I have called you to act I have called you to be a teacher I have called you to work I have called you I have called you and I've anointed you but your timing is not yet ready because there are things that need to happen before I launch you you know what's one of the biggest differences between Saul and David Saul became King immediately David went through 15 years of suffering and training Saul became King immediately he was anointed by Samuel and he was pushed into kingship right away but David he was anointed and for 15 years he goes through all this inner brokenness so that the inside will be godly enough the inside will be humble enough and he will have the character enough so that when God raises him up he would not become like Saul come on now there's a book writers one of my favorite books is called a tale of three kings by Chien Edwards he talks about why Saul tried to kill David and why God allowed saw to tried to kill David and I was honest there see where this goes he said the reason why God puts Saul in David's life and the reason why saw through Spears at David was so that the Saul and David could die he said the reason why God let's all try to kill David for years was so that when David becomes into a place of position he would not be an arrogant King but he'll be a humble King he would not be like Saul wanting to kill others because those years had solved through Spears at him those years as saw made him a false fugitive the soul that was inside of David had to die so that the things of God could come alive many of you guys are in that gap you've been anointed you've been gifted and you've been called but God has not given you a position because he knows when he knows where and it is going to blow your mind when this comes and this is coming from a guy who is also feeling the same way now you know people come out to me all the time and they say how did you know you're supposed to start EMP I'm like I did it they're like how did you know you're called to be a pastor to restless nights of doubting my my purpose how did you know you recall to preach I did it I just had a passion so many people think I am saying this from experience we have sleepless nights that's why David says tears have been my food why because during that time the gap time God is doing some deep internal working you so that when he launches you there will be roots inside of you that you won't forget what you've been through you won't forget what he's brought you through so do not despise the day of small beginnings for God is doing something great right now right here regardless of where you are right there and David did not understand that then but he began to understand that later why David says over and over in the Psalms wait upon the Lord wait upon the Lord wait upon the Lord wait upon the Lord you know why he can say that because he been through that isn't there a difference between someone that says what they know but someone that says what they've gone through someone that preaches from theory while someone that preaches from experience David could say wait upon the Lord because he waited for years David could say tears have been my food because he been through some suffering and you know what he what happens later I'm late I'm just totally getting off my notes but even his disciples david's mighty men are those who were fugitives criminals rejects and those who were broken you know why because david was all of those he was broken he was rejected he was a false fugitive and he had no idea why he was going to there but god was like before I can use you I gotta break you before I can use you you got to go through some stuff because like you preach and you live out of this and not just that you're mine now before I move on the Bible says that the Spirit of God left saw images if we're in an Old Testament that could happen to you and me we are under the new covenant the Holy Spirit would never leave us we are under the blood of Jesus and not under the blood of goats and bulls the Bible says in Ephesians 1 verse 12 for those who receive the gospel they have been sealed with the Holy Spirit and it is a deposit and a guarantee for salvation for those who believe in Christ amen so we don't need to worry that we're gonna become like Saul that the Spirit of God will leave us because those of us who are in Christ Jesus the Holy Spirit indwells inside of us and not just upon us so the Holy Spirit leaves but a demonic spirit comes this is a weird passage okay I gotta just explain a little bit cuz it says a harmful spirit from the Lord I was so confused with God you sent a demon well that's not what's happening here this is the weirdest thing even demons that attack God's people cannot do it apart from God's sovereign plan in other words God allowed this demonic spirit to attack Saul in the same way that he allowed Satan to attack Joe in the same way that he allowed us demonic spirit to attack Paul when Paul said a messenger of Satan was given to me a thorn on the flesh and when I asked God three times to let this go Laura let this thorn depart from he says my grace is sufficient for you for your power is made perfect in weakness in other words even demons without them knowing or serving the purposes of God even demonic spirits that are attacking you that are breaking your family for those who go in Christ Jesus God will even turn those things around for his purposes and for his glory I can't hear you guys now I'm getting way ahead of myself but you know when David fights Goliath he uses the Goliath his sword to cut off his head chapters later he is running from Saul and he goes to a town and says do you guys have any sword here he says yes we have a sword as Goliath's sword he says give there's nothing like that in other words what the devil try to use against you once you defeat it you will use it against him I'll come on with somebody we'll get there later I've been going way too ahead of myself it says that it says give me kalaiy of sword there is none like you why because the very thing that was against you one day will become your testimony in your power against the forces of evil and you would do things you could not do unless God let that demon attack you the Bible says all things work for the good according to his purposes for those who love him even demonic things I don't know how that works but that's how it works the devil said hey Judas betrayed Jesus hey Judas let this demon that I'm gonna throw into you and do this demonic attack you're gonna betray Jesus but Jesus say yeah devil kill me because I'm gonna resurrect and set everybody free he was like hey I didn't know I am serving the purposes of God even though I'm trying to destroy the work of God that's how powerful God is so what do you see here do you know what this demon is doing without him knowing he is inviting David into the palace so David could start getting trained by Saul what thou saw even knowing this is the king that's gonna take over listen because stuff right there if the demonic spirit did not attack Saul he would have never sought out after someone that was anointed in worship so God supernaturally allows David to enter into the palace think about this if you're an Israelite and you're reading this for the first time as a biography the chapter before this you heard that he was anointed and you're wondering how is he gonna become King is he gonna kill him cuz back in the day you know they'll do stuff like that all the time they will kill their father to be king I know some of you guys are Korean my mom used to watch this Korean TV show and it was always about kings and queens mama mama I don't know what it was it's like somebody all like if you have like if you're Eastern background there was like monarchy and kingdoms and like sons will kill fathers to be kings and cousins will kill cousins to be queen and it's out of control so if you're an Eastern person reading this is David gonna kill them no David just walks into the palace like oh dang is happening in other words you don't need to promote yourself God makes away it says in Revelation chapter 3 verse 8 whatever door God opens no man can shut oh come on now some of you are discouraged that you didn't get that job it wasn't that you didn't get that job is that God has something better some of you are discouraged that you did not get that position it's not that that position was against you is that God has something else prepared for you for his purposes and you don't even need to promote yourself you don't even need to write a nice resume when the hand of God's upon you you walk in how'd I get here what did I do I have no idea why because God makes a way where there is no way if it's according to his purposes and his reasons so do not be discouraged about where you are and do not be discouraged about what you don't have let me tell you something there is nothing in this world that could take away what is rightfully yours there are things in this world that has your name on it for example aundrea over her name it was William I'll come home with somebody TMP have my name on it your office has your name on it it's custom tailor for you with your experiences and your values and your passions because according to his purposes he will make a way look how this unfolds first 16 let our Lord now command your servants who are before you to seek out a man who is skillful and playing the lyre and when the harmful spirit from God is upon you he will play it and you will be well so saul said to his servants provide from me a man who can play well and bring him to me isn't this crazy others talk about david without david having to talk about himself the people that talk about themselves the most are oftentimes those four most insecure the people who have to remind others about their talents and their gifts are most likely to people who aren't actually talented and gifted other people are like oh yeah there's this worship leader his anointing oh yeah there's this kid he kills bears and lions he's a warrior oh yeah there's this kid he serves his father with integrity in other words you take care of your character God will take care of your reputation you take care of faithfulness God takes care of fruitfulness you take care of your depth God takes care of your breath but we're now upside down generation we're trying to take care of our reputation without having the character to sustain the things that will happen later we're trying to take care of the outcomes and the fruitfulness instead of taking care of the faithfulness but David was minding his own business he was just taking care of sheep man man man man don't go that way don't go that way don't go that way man you smell man gosh what no he just took care of his sheep why because David was just doing the things that God had told him to do and other people began to speak on his behalf you don't need a fight for your place you don't need a fight for your position I remember I used to be in staff meetings and they were just kind of be intense and there are a few times where I felt like things were being in I think it was injustice I was like hey why are they decreasing my budget hey why are they not letting me have my way one time I was in a devotion and stated okay I'm gonna say I was at a PTA meeting which is like a meeting with like the leaders of a church and I started arguing sort of arguing and I started demanding things and I have a deacon in there was my private personal intercessor and my phone says quote like I'm not looking at it about who is this and I looked and it's him I'm like why is he texting me we're in the same meeting I looked out he says please shut up I was like dang bro as I pass the world please shut up if you fight God would no longer fight for you stop fighting and I was like oh that's about stop praying right there I'm sorry right and he just texted me and said you do not need to fight for yourself God will do it according to his time I look good I put my phone down I just shut up and for the rest of their life possible your anything you say now I'm good no I'm good why because if you make the way you have to sustain your way but if God makes the way God sustains the way too many of us are trying to make waves instead of riding the wave too many of us are trying to make things happen instead of just saying god I'll do whatever you tell me you say David here was minding his own business he was not promoting himself he was not talking about himself he was doing the things of God and maybe that's why he was anointed and Saul was not in fact the Bible says earlier I believe chapter 10 that Saul made a monument for himself he made a monument for himself this might sound extreme but sometimes okay I'm just getting honest right sometimes I'm gonna upload an Instagram post right me doing something that I will consider spectacular whatever you wanna go something that people be like wow and I will hear God say don't upload that have a life but God if people see this they respect me okay I'm just gonna say him this is what happens and you go off your notes and as your starts saying crazy things ah I should I should I got to come in right like I was having lunch with a hero of mine right just me and him we're eating together and I was like I'm gonna take a picture now I'm gonna upload it and I literally heard God say don't take a picture and don't upload it I said devil get behind me do you know how many likes I will get on this do you know how many places I could get invited if I say this 9 and my man we're friends and God says stop why if you promote yourself God will stop moving on your behalf when Saul began to promote himself and make am on you for his self started to make sacrifices apart from Samuels leading that was when Gaza fire you want to lead your life you take care of it but no they said hey there's a man skillful in the liar and the harp skill fella music a metaphor a matter of prudence speech man of Valor man of strength and David shows up and God begins to do things now blow your mind away and as God is doing this as God is making away and God is doing things David is not doing nothing there's two things I want to share that he is doing he is stewarding his responsibilities and the presence of God David is stewarding his current responsibilities and the presence of God while he is in between why does he have to steward his responsibilities is because what you're going through right now is training you for what is to come tomorrow what you're going through right now is preparing you for what is to come tomorrow and what does David do that we can get from this passage or what is God doing if you look here it says in verse 18 one of the young man answered behold I have seen a son of Jesse the birth elamite who was skilful and playing a man of war a man of Valor prudent in speech and a man of good appearance and the Lord is with him here goes verse 19 therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said send me David your son who is with the Sheep that money just gone over your head just 10 verses before this he was anointed king but right after he got anointed king didn't go off to show off he didn't leave that meeting saying do you know who I was with do you know my destiny do you know what God calls me to do he's on went right back to take care of sheep I'm going right back to taking care of all the things my father wants me to do I'm going right back where no one sees me no one knows me and I will be responsible to the things that God has already given me because when you Stuart the faithful things that God has given you God begins to multiply those things for things to come this is the principle that most people think oh yeah but know it is gonna change your life David learn how to lead Israel because he first learned how to lead sheep David learned how to kill Goliath because God taught about to kill lions and bears it was as he was stewarding the present responsibilities and as he was being faithful with the present things that he has been given God was expanding him in ways he never thought imagined could be possible in other words where you are right now in the small beginnings is your training ground for the appointment that God has in your life where you are right now exactly where you are is where God is allowing you to workout your muscles to do the things of God I was talking to another pastor big mega pastor and this is what he told me and we're talking and one of the questions came up how can young leaders sit at the table with giant Slayers right that was a question he said kill me a bear and kill me a lion and I'll let you sit around us you know what he was implying was David was able to kill Goliath because he's declared a sheep be responsible for the small things the same pastor he's a pastor of a church of 30,000 members and we're talking and all these questions are being thrown around and it's a so powerful story he said you don't know where I come from you don't know what I've been through and he begins to share the story he said in my mid-20s I planted a church and it was eight people and he said I'm among the eight people a half of them like for them or like grandparents so during his message they would literally sleep like I no shame you know the older you get you don't care you know I'm already feeling that I'm only 29 my mom I'm too old for this shut up you know it's just weird things start happening when you get older and he said one time he was driving the church and as he was driving to church his car broke down on the freeway he was driving to preach to eight people and he said you know what I'm gonna call my assistant and tell that person to preach you know what'd he say dad he said he got out the car he parked his car in the freeway left it there I'm not saying do that but he left it there got on the bus made it to church and preached his heart out and he said I will never forget that day because I know for a fact that was when God was testing me if I'll take care of the sheep but he has given me and then he said what works for eight works for 18 what works for 18 works and he just kept going he said now we're at 30,000 why because I was responsible but the thing is he had given me what else is David responsible with David is responsible I'm gonna say two things sorry I kind of messed up it let's call the presence of God but before I go there he was responsible with his gifts okay he was responsible with certain talents and gifts that God has given him to sharpen so that he can use his for the things of God he was a musician naturally talented he was a military man he had a leadership gift that was naturally talented and during that time he was stewarding the gifts that he was given instead of being lazy and instead of waiting for something to happen he was working on sharpening his arsenal so when the time was ready he will be ready to do the things of God because it says here's a man of war prudent in speech man of Valor and he's skilled in music what does that mean he was sharpening his gifts cuz he knew that God has something in store for him are you guys following me here he knew because he was anointed he knew inside his gut that God had a plan for him so instead of being on YouTube all day instead of sleeping in all day he was training instead of being afraid all day cuz the fear of failure he was training he was working on his gifts he was stewarding his gifts you know what I went to seminary and I was this is class in seminar called preaching class the most terrifying class that you ever go to and I remember at that time when I Supremes excuse me but it's the truth I used to wing half my sermons not because I didn't want to prepare because I just depended on my gift I just will just go up and start sharing do you know how I know how bad I used to bring my sermons when I was 18 19 21 my sermon knows we're on napkins from restaurants I'll be oh I got inspired here my ceremony you know and my first time preaching a preaching class I went up on stage and I preached but in there's a booth in the back with the window and the professor has speakers on and he has a mic here and as it's being recorded he's criticizing what you're saying and giving you feedback and stuff and everyone afterwards has to tell you what you did wrong what you did bad and as I'm preaching I see him I see him looking at my notes and he goes like he literally that's not a good sign I kind of froze I just kept going he comes outside and it's time to give me a feedback he said people like you scare me I was like oh snap dr. Kent Edwards to people like you scare me because you depend more on your gift then discipline yourself to preach the Word of God I was like thanks bro all right the whole class is like goodies went in and he just goes on and says you know what the saddest thing is you know what the saddest thing is when you see a prodigy when they're nine they're an amazing piano player and when they're 35 during the same skill level I was like calling me our prodigy nah that was know what he was saying but he was saying you have a gift but if you don't steward that gift you will start your growth that was the one thing I got for the whole class now that I prepare my messages every single day I make sure I get this ready why because from that moment on I was convicted and I was rebuked you all have gifts that music is a gift that administration is a gift that leadership that people listen to you that's a gift the ability to bring people together that's a gift your ability to right that's a gift your ability to understand that's a gift and instead of being shy and instead of being afraid Stuart that gift and trained that gift and prepared that gift so when you're ready you go out there with your sword sharp enough which are Rock's sharp enough so that you can move forward I can't hear you guys everyone here has been gifted by God for the glory of God and for His purposes I want to challenge us to become spiritual leaders who hone those things and Stuart their gifts and responsibilities and here's my last pointer we're gonna go into time of Prayer David Stuart at the presence of God of everything we talk about the thing that is most unique he begins to play a lyre is more like our modern-day guitar he begins to play a stringed instrument and it says the Spirit of God both walk into the room fall into the room and the demonic spirit will leave this is not just soothing music that mentally makes you feel better this is the power and the presence of a God present with David the most powerful verse in this passage is first samuel 16 is when it says right here in verse 18 and the Lord was with him and the Lord was with him let me ask you a question where did this anointing come from I'll tell you where it came from it came from the hills of Bethlehem when he was seen to God by himself where did this power come from where it says here and David took the lyre and played with his hand so saul was refreshed and was well and the harmful spirit departed from him where did this anointing come from where did this power come from it came from him in the hills of Bethlehem and the mountains by himself singing to God praising God loving God worshiping God and as God saw that the anointing and the power increased and increased and increased in other words David lives for the audience of one David was driven and motivated to please one man you just grab his guitar and just begin to sing you began to just worship God you'll begin to praise God you'll begin to sing to God he'll begin to worship God and all of a sudden God began to do things that he could not do and it was in that intimate secluded alone place that the favor and the presence and the anointing of God increased so much that it robbed on to others there's a difference right between a gifted worship leader and an anointed worship leader the anointing of God is the empowering presence of God that falls upon people that want to live for God not just pastors and worship leaders but for every single believer I was just talking to a few friends recently once a doctor wants an accountant and one's a dental student we were just having a meeting over just talking I said hey do you ever feel God's presence at work do you ever feel God's anointing at work and there are like yeah all the time if I pray there's like oh yeah absolutely there are times I spend time with God and I go into work and I'm different there's a flow in me there's a joy in me and there's a peace in me there's a confidence in me you know sometimes my wife when she teaches at UCLA she'll come home and about how was work she said you know what's crazy I was talking to people today and everyone to started crying so what do you mean I don't know I was just talking and my students started crying and then my other students started crying and my other students started crying I just started preach I just sort of praying for them I started encouraging that I said that's the anointing she said I guess David's power to play music and first the spirit to come came from his intimacy with God it came from his oneness with God when Jesus said when you pray go in your room and close the door behind you and pray and when your father sees you in secret he will reward you the heart of David intimacy prayer and praise God began tonight I began to empower him I began to speak to him now I'm gonna come to a close right now I just want to say one last thing there's people in this room your faith is not a religion it is an intimate relationship with your Creator your faith is not about doing things it's not about doing things right it's not even about doing things wrong it's about having a relationship with Jesus who died for you so that he can have a relationship with you the Bible says when Jesus stretched out his arms and he was pierced for our transgressions that he cried out my God my God why have you forsaken me he was forsaken so that we would never be forsaken and the Bible says the veil was torn from top to bottom inside the temple and the temple was the place where people would go to meet with God and the reason why that veil was torn well so that we can have a relationship with God from the sins that separate us from him but I believe here tonight as we go into a time there are people here do not have a relationship of Christ who are not intimate with Christ I want to ask you and I want to invite you to make a response by saying hey will I want to have that purpose I want to be intimate Jesus I want to know him eyes are closed and heads are bowed you
