Anna Maria Island Florida #1 Paradise Destination

hi everyone i'm marina ganciarenko a realtor in southwest florida and today i'm going to give you a tour of anna maria island a piece of paradise [Applause] [Music] there are so many beautiful places all over the world that attract thousands of visitors only a select few become guests favorites where they keep coming back year after year instead of exploring other options anna maria island is one of those unique locations it is so rich geographically and the island's restrictions and regulations made an ideal balance that has created a utopian paradise that millions get to enjoy year round it's located 28 miles south of saint pete and about 20 miles north of downtown sarasota the island is seven miles long and it has a little over six thousand residents almost a million people visit the island every year the building height restriction is 35 feet so there are only a handful of condominiums on the entire island that blend in with the residential homes the island's rental regulations are also very accommodating so this created a superb setting for people to own vacation rentals to top it all off the island is saturated with some of the most amazing restaurants and old town charm that sets the mood for slowing down and enjoying the present moment the island is broken up into three areas the first area is anna maria pine ave is the heart of this section with many of the restaurants and shops located here the general store is located right in the center and is one of my favorite places to grab a cheesesteak for lunch as we continue towards the bay here we have the anna maria island city pier a historical landmark that has been enjoyed for decades [Music] at the end is the city pier grill restaurant and bait shop absolutely beautiful setting with the sunshine skyway bridge in the background and a fabulous place for fishing [Music] just north of the pier is a small canal that gives about 100 residents in the middle of the island access to the gulf and bay further north along the water is bay front park with lots of shade and picnic areas [Music] at the northern tip of the island we have the rod and reel pier restaurant also with a very serene atmosphere that is popular for dining fishing and just hanging out [Music] just around the bend is bean point which is the north tip of the island a popular hangout spot where we have unobstructed views for countless miles [Music] south of the piers on the bay side is the galadi yacht broker next to the island ocean star restaurant [Music] there are so many beautiful homes aligning the bay and shore with many under construction throughout the island the homes are very diverse many retaining the island charm among the lavish amount of amazing rentals there are also many prized treasures to admire all around [Music] on the shore the homes are just as stunning and just as plentiful the island has so many amazing areas that it leaves us with no choice but to explore them all [Music] the second section on the island is holmes beach this section has the majority of the population and is considered as the commercial area of the island we have a lot more shops here and larger stores like the publix grocery store and others [Music] right in the center is the main public beach access it has a lot of parking and a very accommodating beach [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] on the north end of holmes beach is school key the key royal club is located in the center it's a par 32 nine hole course that's the only golf course on the island all around this area many homes are on a canal throughout the island it is very evident that a lot of wealth has been invested here [Music] some of the top rated restaurants in the state of florida are nearby the sandbar is one of these elite [Applause] it has been here for over 40 years and may be one of the best all-around restaurants i have ever seen they have an incredible events venue on the property and it truly delivers paradise both in experience and on a plate just down the road is beach bistro it has received many awards and accolades and is a very popular choice for celebrations the third section of the island is bradenton beach [Music] it is the narrowest part of the island that comes with some amazing benefits just south of cortez bridge the second entry point to the island the historic bridge street is the heart of this area this area gives us plentiful options for our enjoyment [Music] [Music] on the bay is anna maria oyster bar on the pier [Music] south of here are many homes with rooftop terraces with amazing 360 degree views you have the gulf of mexico on one side and the sarasota bay on the other the perfect spot to watch both sunrises and sunsets i love all the sailboats i feel like they bring so much charm to the bay the last one mile of the island is kokina beach on the bay there is a boat ramp on the north and on the south end of the park [Music] on the gulf there is a large parking area with a playground picnic areas and plenty of shade and beach amenities [Music] in the middle is the beach cafe [Music] [Applause] it's also not unusual to spot the gentle manatees
