[Music] Andrews first time in a trials Club event made any famous last words look I'm just surprised how calm I feel being keen on the cross-training Enduro thing I've always been interested in the technical side of riding and with encouragement from the guys I've had a trials bike which I keep it my property and you know for short periods I get to a play around or obstacles and things like that but I'm really aware that you do get pushed so hard when you go to a competition with people who are experienced and so I've been keen to do that weekends are pretty hard for me and it's a long way out to the trials club but when I saw they have a midweek trials event I was hooked on the idea of going well here he goes now it'd be sensible here to use as much of the area as he can which is doing oh that's why now might keep your foot down for us until you get yourself sorted you make the most of having a foot down so bounce your front wheel and line it over but without moving your foot and that way okay let's three but you when you put your foot down make the most of it [Music] Oh I thought it was going to go the c-grade line then [Music] nice balance a little ledge here just handled that well again you see swinging wide to make the most of the area and he's done it three points he put a foot down either side of the bike which makes it three points come on Andrew I think it was the first time I've ever been to any sort of trials event the atmosphere was very laid-back the Gaza the trials club were really laid-back and I said they didn't feel at all intimidated I kind of knew that it didn't matter if you were just a hopeless Rider you were gonna be welcome and how hard it was look in some ways it was really harder than I thought it was you know very difficult to do some other stuff but it's not intimidating the trials sections are really short they're sometimes only maybe you know 40 50 60 metres long just a few zigzags and tight turns and little scrambles up rocky steady bits and things there are different routes you can pick and we the beginner type part so remember my once you put a foot down make the most of a knobby ten different sections and yeah they might only take 20 seconds to write around but you've got from one to the other I'm on Andrew so is your staff banking the most to the track night not coming why let's see if he does to see grade line on the white arrow deed instead but my mind managed to get a foot down in the deep food yeah [Music] and once you put it down three times you don't accumulate any more points some people are very lucky I turned the camera on a bit late it was really interesting things that I thought would be really hard I didn't find that hard I actually found myself doing stuff I didn't know I could do you'd be you'd shoot up onto a sloping slab and have to turn was quietly on an off-campus slab or something and I haven't done that before and it was a great buzz when you did it and hold down the next bit without going outside the circuit where you thought I've got this this will be easy you just lose your balance and put a foot down today I think I need once I got a zero pointer which is claimed and all the other times I lost points but yeah it's a great learning thing come on hard to put down it's another foot down he's going for the blue section but a big heavy bag it's got leave getting with the bag more it's gonna really motivate me to to practice the techniques another really good thing about it was having so many guys there who are experienced and can help you and at the end I I had a personal coaching session of about half an hour with a really good writer who could do amazing things and he was happy to just be beside me and helped me to learn the punch technique or the SAP take make or whatever yes that's how you do it let me know that's fine so it was was a brilliant diet really great day out with the guys really laid-back plenty of opportunity to go as hard as you can and um you can always try how to level if you think something's too easy I've always wanted to have a crack at going to a trial event it's certainly everything I thought it would be and better in the sense that it wasn't intimidating it's nice to go to a event where it's pretty laid-back and there's no criticism or pressure on it [Music]
