[Music] you [Music] [Music] well when I first heard Lola it was on a YouTube clip and I was like this doesn't really seem possible that such a petite girl can play like this I mean her skills are insane and I love piano players where the you know you don't know where the finger stops and the key starts and that's her you know where the body stops and where the key and the music starts and that's what Lola has and her performances are always exciting and and she's passionate and her phrasing and the way she interprets things it just it moved me and again it moves me just as a person on this planet not as David Foster the guy that has all those Grammys it just moves me and I think that it should and will and could move millions of other people on what subject the repertory yes I'm going over to Italy to play with undress excellence and wait is it for is a theater of silence concert silence emcee and I know you've done the show quite a few times before yeah I have it's great it's beautiful it's spectacular it's and it's where he feels most comfortable cuz it's where he grew up well the theatre of silence is of course so special for Andrea Bocelli and everybody around him we all respond to our birthplace in a way that's so visceral and for me like I love going home to Victoria that's where I feel the most comfortable and for Andreia this is where he grew up this is what he remembers this is where he wrote his horses so besides being a spectacular place to do a musical concert it's also the heart and soul of who Andre but Shelly really is when I'm around Andreea I feel like I'm with Mozart he's he's the closest thing that I know of to like what the great composers must have been he's a Renaissance man he is a lawyer I don't know if people knew that about him he plays almost every instrument and he plays them well he likes to have fun he wind surfs he rides horses he swims he's and music I have never met anyone like him and I've met a lot of people musically he is uniquely aundrea Bocelli and I just feel like I'm closer to my heroes when I'm with Andrea so what are you gonna play well since I'm coming from the United States I wanted to play something very American and when I think about what could it be um Gershwin's Rhapsody in blue comes to mind yes Cheryl truth oh you don't like no no [Music] well I think the secret to any mastery is to be able to focus and to devote yourself entirely to whatever it is you're doing until you figure it out for myself I find it rewarding to work on my technique and I'm perfecting my touch the touch really means everything for a pianist and all the great virtues of the past were known for their touch and their unique tone and the beautiful tone with rich colors is what comes to mind when I think of Gershwin it is impossible to imagine more timeless melodies that people are always excited to hear and almost sing-along to Gertrud himself described it as a musical kaleidoscope of America which is why it is always special for me to perform it abroad and to share the best of America with the world beautiful our Gershwin that's a great choice inequality are you believe the greatest American composer I think so it's a great choice thank you well now I feel better so play the part that that's a little part that the part in G yeah that's the only part I know let's play together yeah ready one two yes this is a journey and I often stop and think about how far I've come from the moment that I first walked into a classroom as a child and sat down in front of the piano and I think about the people I was fortunate enough to mean people that have inspired me people that have encouraged me and people that have challenged me and then I think about the road ahead and I think no matter how successful we get in music or in life we must never grow complacent [Music] when Illinois Yama in Louisville Korean otaku Sciuto Westenra go people dopey brutal no importa a Casa tua a turkey boy when I put my performance outfits together I usually think about the music and the location this time I'm performing Gershwin and Rossini both very vibrant and very glittery pieces so I picked an outfit to match and I think it's gonna look amazing under the stage lights in a Tuscan night well time is running away from me and it's time to get ready for the show [Music] import RA da cidade de la profound genuine and meaningful way and beauties all around him he's beautiful family wife and children the raw beauty of his native Tuscan countryside his wild horses and of course the beautiful music that he performs I think it is his ability to find to feel and to express beauty is what touches so many people around the world and it is real and it's obvious from the [Music] andrea has touched so many lives through his music and his charitable work and the masterpieces come alive through his voice without it there is nothing but silence [Music] fantastic [Applause] [Music]
