The Great Pyramid is one of the most interesting things I have ever researched. Most Egyptian stone work is impressive but there are some which stand out as a little too perfect considering the type of skill and tools Egyptologists attribute to the people at the time. The Great Pyramid itself seems to be of 'different stock' than its two neighbors and was constructed with such precision and sophistication it would stand as a marvel of engineering if built in modern times. There seems to be so much knowledge hidden in Egypt but there also seems to be much of it accessible to only a small few.

I remember intently waiting for the next development in the little rover exploration into one of the shafts in the Great Pyramid but it seems like nothing ever happened because access wasn't granted or something.

For me, one of the more impressive things is the fact that Philae Temple and Abu Simbel were moved (there may have been others, but I'm not sure about that), stone-by-stone, to higher levels to keep them from being flooded when the Aswan Dam was built.
