Anakeesta Gatlinburg TN Video Tour & Things to Know Before You Go

hey everyone that's danielle from Northeast Ohio family fun we recently took a trip to Gatlinburg Tennessee and while we were there we had the opportunity to visit an icky stuff in today's video I'm going to give you a tour of an Akita and some of the fun things that you can do while you're there as well as share some tips and things that you should know before you go [Music] an acoustic is conveniently located in downtown Gatlinburg if you're staying in nearby hotel you can walk to the location or if you would prefer to drive there is public parking right next to the main entrance as well as a public parking garage it's located across the street after you purchase tickets your adventure will begin with a scenic skylit ride up 600 feet to the top of an accused amount lean the ride itself takes about 10 to 15 minutes and you have the option to choose between an open chairlift or an enclosed six person gondola the open chair lifts do have a safety bar that comes down in front of you and the gondola cabins are great for strollers and they are also wheelchair accessible when you arrive at the top of the mountain you will come to Firefly village and this is where you can browse the shops grab a bite to eat and you can even walk the memorial trail that details the 2016 wildfires those fires burn parts of Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge as well as the Smoky Mountains as you can see there are plenty of seating areas and picnic tables that are available and each of them has beautiful mountain views outside food and drinks are not permitted unless you have a specific dietary need however like I mentioned there are reasonably priced options for food drinks and even ice cream kids will enjoy plain on the an acoustic treehouse playground this playground consists of a series of treehouse buildings that are connected together by rope bridges and raised platforms there's even one treehouse where you can climb up a ladder to a locked area and then you can look down out onto the other treehouses there's also a seating area that's located next to the playground so that parents can sit back and relax while their kids play and the bathrooms are a short walk back down the path toward the shots the entire family will definitely want to experience the treetop canopy walk during the walk you will be 40 to 60 feet above the ground and you'll make your way along a series of sixteen hanging bridges and platforms and each of the platforms contains signage with interesting information and facts about the Smoky Mountains local animals in nature and do note that while most areas in an acoustic are wheelchair accessible the treetop canopy walk is not and it would also be really difficult to push a stroller along the suspension bridge ziplining is another fun option that you can do while you're visiting a nakusoo and they have two side-by-side zip lines and this allows you to experience ziplining with a friend or family member right next to you the course consists of three zip lines and two locations where you can rappel off the platforms you can save time by completing the online waiver and signing up for your ziplining time before you arrive you'll want to plan to spend at least two hours exploring all that an acoustic has to offer and take advantage of the fact that your ticket is good all day and what I mean by that is you can ride the sky lift up to the top of the mountain multiple times in the same day another thing to know is if you purchase your tickets after 3 p.m. you can use those tickets to get in free the following day I hope you enjoyed the video Aniki steps be sure to click the button below to subscribe and let us know if you have any questions thanks for watching and we'll see you next time [Music] you
