An Inside Look of the Ground Zero Blues Club Apartments- Tennessee Valley Uncharted

[Music] these apartments are amazing there is a rich history behind this building and and this place this town could you kind of talk a little bit about that okay this town you a Mississippi you're gonna see a lot of people saying okay this is the home of the blues but Clarksdale actually really is this building was one of the first commercial buildings built in Clarksdale it was built in the late eighteen hundreds I think the first deep price was like $68 of this Israeli building and then it was Delta cotton company in groceries and there are different kinds of Cotton's as you notice the names of my rooms are anywhere from good middling into low middling to good ordinary those are all types of cut okay I thought the apartments you see that actual cash registers yes I was looking at that last night in the toilet the toilet is not all the actual old stove sink refrigerator combo on a soda machine the Commission yes all those things were part of this building and we kept them and when Morgan erbil got together being from Mississippi they were grades like me all this time to say I'm the birthplace of the blues but Morgan knew okay so when you say Morgan you're talking about the Morgan Freeman Randy Morgan Freeman I'm godfather of Hollywood everybody was grandfather the Morgan Freeman so they got together and they named it ground zero ground zero other blues yes the Mississippi you got blues everywhere but this is the start right here the heart of it all started okay so he co-owns this yes he does this building right along with William we like it and Howard Stovall I say in this room last night I think it's amazing yes but this room specifically is Morgan's room this is where Morgan laughs this is this was his decoration every room has its own kitchen it's private bath you can get in here I've had people stay here for months really they're like I need a book it yeah I need to book it what would you love to you know people take away from the experience when they come here if you've never been to the South take a moment walk through these apartments look at the pictures look at the posters in the painting pay attention to all the things we have outside in the hallway this is our heritage this is where we come from and if you haven't stayed here and you love the Blues you need to stay here this is the best place for you as a fan because once you walk in these doors you're at home yeah you're not just another patron in a bar or just somebody staying upstairs if you've got the blues come home because this is where the blue field I love it I feel your love and your passion with South in the Blues and Mississippi it's it's contagious you you
