As a parent, I can't understand how you could EVER hurt your own child for them expressing who they love. People like his parents make me so angry!

Beyond the singing ability, this seems to be a nice gentle young man, breaks your heart that parents can do this to their own child. Shame on them!

They'll want to reconcile if he wins the million dollar prize I bet.

first, if his story is true then of course if fubar, BUT these programs are all about manufacturing a sob story for the sake of the show, either by omission or by outright lying to make the segments and contestants interesting and compelling. Is there any doubt that the judges, for instance, are unaware of the sob stories key contestants have before they come out? I'm not saying his story is fake, or even that all stories are fake, but there is definitely some grooming going on. Take it with a grain of salt.

This was a very nice clip. I hope he doesn't even associate with his family anymore. They disowned him, they want no connections with him. Just because he has a relent doesn't mean what they said can be changed.

It's great how we've come far enough to recognize collectively as an entire audience that homophobia is wrong and that there was no hesitation in the slightest to comfort him.

I was expecting this to be parents pushing there kids to do something. I did not expect this. I'm a 25 year old man and I'm not ashamed to say this made my eyes water a bit
