so when I was in high school in college I used to have a resale business and I would go to third stores and see if there's anything that I can resell and make a profit on my best fine was when I went to a goodwill there were three coach bags they're like $20 each they were brand new I'm like what are these doing here brand new $20 and then I sold them for 200 to $300 each that juicy profit these people probably found way better things than me but I'm still proud my friend guided me to a charity shop that had a donation of a brand new wedding dress from a boutique so it said it sixteen hundred dollars on the tag and she got it for $25 it's like I'd to love how yeah that's awesome she's so happy that's the best feeling when you need something really bad and then you find it for super cheap mmm feels good man this woman collects old purses from thrift stores and she used one yesterday for the first time about the secret pocket on the side and it was filled with cash what a nice surprise buys a bag for five dollars gets a couple hundred inside nice so this woman but what she thought was a huge ugly painting for $5.00 out of thirst or as like a gag gift to cheer up her friend old people does that go to Goodwill one of the ugliest painting I can find oh yes you that one and only $5 I'll take it my friend is grieving mourning I don't know so I got her a $5 ugly painting in hopes it would cheer her up and they would laugh at it slap a few knees what is the despicable gifts you've brought into my home in attempts of cheering me up as well as such I got older rich people thing like I hurt you like all right I brought you some art so the friend thought it was hilarious and it was like oh no I don't have room for that painting so she took it back home hmm mistake of a lifetime you see mistake of a lifetime when she tried to unload it at a garage sale an art teacher told her that she should check it out to make sure it wasn't a Jackson Pollock so she hired a forensic specialist who found a fingerprint from the splatter painter and traced the painting back to the studio Wow fancy man a forensic specialist for a painting I don't know how the process goes but like that's a thing no no no no no she was offered nine million dollars nine million dollars nine million dollars and then she was like nah I want 50 million I'm sorry what bro I swear rich people hmm I hope you get nothing for it you paid $5.00 for it and they offered you nine million ailing no I'll take fifty thank you you was about to give it to your friend for free imagine if the friend actually took it would she go back and knocked out her friend or like yeah I need that painting back oh man imagine if the front actually kept it what would you do if you gave your friend something that you bought for five dollars and it ended up being worth nine million comment below I need to know friendships about again billion in 2012 John Richard stopped in to an Oxfam charity store in the UK and saw the face of Elvis Presley staring back at him from the side of a handbag he was intrigued and bought it for around $30 then he later found out that that bag was made by an Irish designer Philip Treacy so months later Richard took it to a Philip Treacy shop in London and it turns out by Andy Warhol what Richard was told the bag was one of ten ever made and that it was worth more than $450,000 bro yeah no Big D I just bought this for like $30 out of thirst or about a go thrifting right now see what I could find is crazy the stuff that you can find it how much is actually worth it's funny cause like 90% of the stuff is junk nine point nine nine percent is like stuff you would actually use stuff that you would buy and be happy with and then like the point zero zero zero one percent what hundred thousand of dollars sauce way if you like lived in a goodwill you could probably find that one thing that would make you hundreds of thousands of dollars insane this guy bought some shoes from a third store I found hella hundreds stuffed inside the shoe shoes are used now you got hella money to get new shoes so lucky like for luck in 2017 there was an auction for a diamond ring that the owner had bought decades earlier at a London junk sale for $13 because they bought the ring for $13 they always assumed that it was costume jewelry you know like those big fake diamond rings aunt Patricia likes to wear so anyways the girls have bought it for $13 you should always wear it out for shopping and to do chores or whatever and then she was like hey I'm gonna go get this appraised I'm just wondering how much is really cost and then she discovered it was actually at 26 carat diamond cut in the 1800s what and it was worth around $450,000 what bro imagine you got this like fake jewelry that you wear like every single day that you bought for $13 and it's like a crazy huge expensive diamond worth hundreds of thousands of dollars brah I can't imagine that's crazy a scrap-metal dealer got an amazing bargain when he paid fourteen thousand dollars for an ornate golden egg at a flea market Wow a golden egg for fourteen thousand dollars weird flex but okay he planned to have it melted down and he hoped to net a small profit oh so he's a scrap metal dealer so they buy gold and bolt I'm sorry I just got triggered usually completely going off on a tangent but my mom had these bracelets they're pure gold bracelets this was when I was in college and she gave me those bracelets and told me to go to those cash-for-gold places to sell them so I can get money to go to school okay I'm very upset right now remembering that but anyways so he bought the golden egg for fourteen thousand hoping that he would melt it and make some profit off of it because it's made of gold but before he did some research and found an article thing that was a hunts for a long-lost favorite egg made for Russian royalty in the late 1800s he took his egg to a expert and an antiques dealer who confirmed it was the real deal that was later sold for an undisclosed amount I was trying to run and hide I see I see you you know how much this egg was estimated to cost around thirty three million dollars thirty three million mmm-hmm yeah I pay forty thousand for it yeah but like you made thirty three million you good the rest of your life you your kids your grandkids your great grandkids great-great great-great great-great grandkids they Gucci the rest of their life with 33 million I mean you could just buy a private jet in islands and be Gucci if you got that kind of money what would you do blow it save it comment below so a bargain hunter picked up a twenty dollar teapot and an online auction and found out that it was no ordinary teapot and that's the tea no but really the teapot ended up being one of the first pieces of porcelain created in America but it was the work of British Potter John Bartlett so his pieces are extremely rare even though the teapot was broken the teapot sold at a 20-18 auction for eight hundred six thousand dollars what's that teapot almost a million dollars somebody bought it for $20 $20 okay a broken teapot I mean some people got hella money to spend oh what a basically eight hundred thousand give it to me okay Elon Musk's um I found a signed Weezer CD for 99 cents that go well I mean if you Oh either Phaneuf yeah and then this dollar are for 50 cents only 50 cents you got at least three or four dollars in that and it's five this one wasn't found at a thrift store but in a guy's bedroom in the Philippines where it had been kept for ten years damn that is one thick pearl so in 2016 a fisherman found this he thought it was just a large rock a large rock you know it looks like a pearl I might just say he saw Brock and he just hid it under his bed for ten years for good luck you know it's a lucky Rock we just hide it under my bed so when he decided to take it to be appraised his rock was actually the largest pearl in the world two feet long 75 pounds and worth over a hundred million dollars a hundred million dollars why why would you rather hide this under your bed for good luck why would you sell it for a hundred million dollars this do missing out for 10 years I really hope he got good luck out of it though damn that's all I got to say I bought this wallet for 25 cents out of thirst or two days ago oh we got a wallet full of cash for 25 cents see I'm telling you let nobody check these I mean they can't check every single item in every single pocket zipper milk and cranny you feel me this dude over here but a box full of old junk at an auction in England for around $46 oh so I used to go to auctions to find stuff to resell they would have like boxes of like customer returns and other boxes was like junk you can't like look through the box but you can kind of see like what's on top or sometimes they would call them completely and you'd basically bid on them without knowing what's inside all the ones I got were junk so inside the box there was a postcard size painting he didn't think it was anything so he tucked it in a drawer for more than 10 years until he passed it along to his son so there's a signature on the back of the painting and the son decided to let go research it and then they learned the painting was an original from the 19th century it was worth over three hundred ninety thousand dollars hey man I feel like so many people are getting lucky with like original art anybody could have like scribble something from the 1900s 1800s and framed it and it'll be worth millions now I wonder if that would be the case like today and like hundreds of years from now Oh better start painting the dude purchase a desk from Goodwill yeah sure average dust and found $80,000 cash inside the desk goodwill employees are shaking like if I worked out good what I would be checking every nook and cranny of every single item that comes in like this is unacceptable $80,000 finders keepers also how you gonna donate a desk and forget you got $80,000 chilling in there we got a woman who bought an necklace for $15 out of flea market like oh that's cute let me get that then three years later she wore it at an exhibit at the Philadelphia Art Museum and then she began to notice some similarities between her necklace and others on display that's coincident seems a little too good yeah I'm gonna wear this necklace and then oh I'm looking at other necklaces at the Museum and they look awful lot like mine does and of course she found out her necklaces an authentic 1940s piece by a famous sculptor worth around 300,000 oh these people are so lucky I don't know how this ended but somebody bought this award for Obama did Obama just like shuck it in a donation box like I don't need this award 20 years from now maybe you'll see like YouTuber million plaques diamond play buttons just chilling on a goodwill for $10 oh no maybe they would be worth like millions one day like youtubers a hundred years from now buying vintage YouTube play buttons so basically it's us Distinguished Service Award National Middle School Association recognizes Obama who's one he was the senator mm-hmm I guess this award didn't mean anything to him y'all should hit him up on Twitter or something like you still want this so this dude was looking through boxes at a curio shop in California in 2010 when he found old tintype photographs for $1 apiece so old photographs $1 each those like the more he looked at it the more he recognized one of the people in the photograph so he did some research and the guy playing croquet was the famous outlaw Billy the Kid the other people in the photos remembers the billy's gang so it's one of the only two authenticated pictures of Billy the Kid in existence and it appraised for million dollars five million dollars boy did you bought photographs for $1 $1 and is worth five million shook it no I first thing tomorrow get up and go in a goodwill ya feel me y'all want to see a video of me like thrifting and seeing what I could find out a thirst or hit that like button it's gonna be on my second channel though I want to do that I'm pumped I'm motivated I'm ready to change my life but I feel like if you look for something you're not gonna find it so still fun to try anyways that's all for today I hope you guys enjoyed this video
