all right so let's actually start off by creating a new project so let's go to file and new and make a new composition and I'm gonna make this composition 2,000 pixels weight and height for 30 pixels hit OK all right let's press ctrl Y for a new layer I'm going to placate this layer and go to solid settings and make this other new layer completely black all right and I'm gonna go ahead and create a rectangular mask for this second black layer press f4 feather and just feather this out and maybe just adjust this mask a bit something like this and let's create another mask here and also feather this mask out come on so something like this is what I'm gonna go with we can always just go back and we are just these settings here and the next step here is to create a new adjustment layer so let's go to layer new adjustment layer this is ctrl alt and Y by the way and go ahead and the first effect that I'm gonna add is a stylized let's see stylize or actually was it simulation cc ball action this will give this whole texture this whole layer a nice texture and let's decrease the ball size and increase the grid spacing until our circles are right between our borders so 13 should be good and let's add a new effect and the effect will be offset and I'm going to use this offset to create this type of movement alright and an easy way to do this is to just automate this value here so the first value 2 with an expression and I'm going to go then alt and left click on this attribute and expression will be value plus open and and bracket and the first value will be time multiplied by maybe 500 , and the second value will be 0 right so this just takes the initial value and multiplies the first value so this guy here the highlighted value just off set it off set it by this value here so time multiplied by 500 and this will create this automatic animation let's go ahead and go to composition settings and increase the duration here to maybe something like 1200 and this will ensure I have enough time to work with and just make sure that the layers are stretched out for the entire duration so now I have this animation let's maybe play this back you can see that there's a some jittering effect going on and let's set the CC ball action to be after the offset effect all right so now this is all cleaned up so basically what I want to do now is I'm going to go ahead and create a new composition and I'm gonna multiply this height value by 40 and I'm gonna go ahead and drop this original comp and let's rename this composition to stripe single alright so I'm gonna drop the stripe single in this new composition I'm gonna drag this down below and essentially what I want to do is duplicate this layer enough times so that it fills up the entire composition and I want to do this simply by each time I'm gonna duplicate this layer I want the height value to be offset by 30 units so if I press P I want this position to jump by 30 units on the y-direction right so something like this and let's say this back and the way we do this is again using a composition so we file alt and left click the opposition let's use value + open an end bracket so the first value this 1000 I want this to be unaffected so I'm gonna set the value to be zero because I don't want to add anything to this but I want to add value to the second value here so this is the Y dimension and I'm gonna use index which is the number of the layer so essentially if I have 30 layers if i duplicate this 30 times the 30th layer will have an index value of 30 and I'm gonna take this index value and multiply it by the height of this layer so the increments that they wanted to jump which is 30 which is the height of this layer and let's see what this does so now as i dublicate this layer you can see that it multiplies the way i want it but it goes the other direction so let's delete these duplicates and the way to make this go in the opposite direction is simply to multiply it by a negative value of negative 30 all right so this will now make it jump the way I want it and let's grab this layer and drag it down into its original place all right so each time i duplicate this now it will jump 30 units and each time i duplicate this I also want the opacity value to be a random number between let's say maybe 0 and 100 but you can you can use different values if you want so the way we do this is we set another expression for the opacity and the expression is seed random open and closed brackets and we're just going to use 1 comma true all right so this you have to include this before you define your random values and the random values will be random and in between parentheses you can type your render more values so this will be 1 sorry 0 and 100 and each time I will duplicate this layer it will choose a value between these two values so 0 and 1 all right and as i duplicate this layer these layers you can see now that we have different values for the opacity all right so we're creating more randomness and a little more variation one final thing that I want to do each time that I do placate this layer I want the speed of this animation to be different and I'm gonna go ahead and right-click this layer and enable time remapping and I want to let's actually just solo out our time limit so I want this value here to be slower or faster each time i duplicate this layer and the way i do this set up another expression here and i'm going to do the same thing i'm gonna use a seed or a random expression so seed random one and true and below it I'm gonna use a random and I want to generate a number between let's say 0.3 and 1.4 so this will be the sort of like the multiplier of the speed so some layers will have the speed go third 30% slower and some will have it go like 40% faster all right so in order to use this number I have to give it a variable so I'm going to type equals x and now I can use this X to multiply my actually let's just use the value so this is just the original value and I'm just going to multiply this with X which is going to be the number between these two values and actually this x value this X has to be set at the beginning of my line here so x equals random and then our value all right so this is the expression and now each time I diplucate this layer I'm just gonna go ahead and hold ctrl D you can see that they start at the same speed and as the composition time goes each of them go either faster or slower than the other and this creates a nice natural and organic feel to it let's go ahead and grab all of these layers and pre-compose them again so next I'm actually gonna create a new composition and this will be my main render and I'm just going to use let's set the width to 1920 by 1080 so the standard HD and I'm gonna go ahead and drop my let's see this is the comp 2 so this will be stripes free comped and inside the main render I'm gonna go ahead and drop stripes pre-comp alright and offset this layer just so this start off random and maybe let's cut this layer to 300 frames which is roughly 10 seconds let's go ahead and create a new layer new camera set the angle view to something higher maybe 95 all right and turn this into a 3d layer and now I can use the rotation tool here so that's W I can go ahead and create a nice angle for this layer and maybe offset the position a bit maybe stretch this something like this something like this maybe I can mess around with this angle and get something it looks a little nicer and forty stripes become layer I also want to add a stylized motion tile and let's increase the output width and height for this alright so this just fills up the empty space in this side all right looking good let's go back inside the stripes pre-comp and let's add a new adjustment layer all right so that's ctrl alt and Y and let's add a tritone effect and this is not working as I want it to be because there's there's not any black information because there's alpha transparency behind the this layer and the way to fix this is you can add a channel solid composite and set the color to dark all right so now if I set that right on after the solid composite the tritone now works as it should and I'm gonna set the color for this to something like a pale blue all right and I'm as I'm also gonna duplicate this adjustment layer and I'm gonna create some masks I'm gonna create one mask initially and I just want to single out a piece of this stripe here just make sure that this is between the circles are between the borders of this mask and for the second dublicate here the tritone I'm gonna set this to be a orange color and I'm just going to create some variation using this approach so now I can grab this mask ctrl D for duplicate and grab this mask double click the edges and grab the whole mask and just move it down below you can also use your arrow keys to position your mask more specifically right so you can just create a bunch of duplicates here at some color variation and just get a more nice nicer effect so you can basically go ahead and create as many W gates as you want all right let's go back in our main render and let's add a ctrl alt Y let's add a new adjustment layer and let's maybe create our depth of field effect now so I'm gonna go ahead and create a new white solid and I'm gonna go ahead and create a mask around the parts where I want the blue to be alright so pressed feather make sure the this map has the masks feathered this will ensure a smooth transition for our world blur crease the feather here and just the masks a bit should be alright and now I can go ahead and precompose this white solid let's turn off the visibility and for our adjustment layer I'm gonna go ahead and add a camera lens blur set the blur layer to be our white solid pre-comp and just increase the blur radius now this will go ahead and add our blur as you can see I can now go ahead and add a color correction curves maybe increase the contrast alright and the final touch will be adding a low and let's spread the radius a bit and maybe decrease the threshold or rather increase alright so this is pretty much the result and if I go back in my original stripe for example let's see here if I set this black solid to be lets say they generate fill to this and let's set the color to be a very dark grey and you can see now essentially that these circles aren't turning completely black as before and if I go back now in our main render everything should update and it shouldn't have as much dark empty space as before alright so this is essentially it thanks for watching hope you learn something new leave a like and I'll see you next time
