hi my name is chris sebastian i'm the winner of the voice australia in 2020 and these are my favorite blind [Music] [Music] auditions [Music] what about us what about all the times [Music] are you ready cause now it's time so let them know [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] what about us [Applause] [Music] i mean he's a kid he's literally like a child and he's got all that range all that can i mean that was just ridiculously good uh his his future is obviously incredibly bright i think we'll all be looking out for for everything that jordan anthony is going to be doing what a voice that was incredible one of my absolute favorite blind auditions and actually the reason why i first auditioned for the voice was because i saw this performance it's javier colon from the usa singing time after time confusion there's nothing new flash back to more nice almost left behind [Music] time after time if [Music] [Music] and you will find it [Music] [Applause] secrets [Music] and [Music] i will be waiting [Applause] time after time [Music] time after time i love that before i i remember that performance like the first time that i ever saw it that's season one of the voice in the usa because i i did season one um of the voice and then had a break for a while i was doing a bunch of other stuff and then came back and and won in 2020. um and i remember seeing that and like the thing that drew me to one was obviously his voice is incredible but he took a song that you would never expect a singer like that to take and he made it a song that a singer like he would sing it was awesome he just took something that was a completely different style and and made it something personal and i remember seeing that and honestly that was the reason why i auditioned for the voice in the first place um i think that for me was i don't know almost like a like a show of courage on his part because it would have been really easy to do something i guess more familiar but he he chose the more musical route and he decided to do something a lot more creative i love that so this is one of my favorite blind auditions it's eba and he's singing tenerife c by ed sheeran you look so wonderful in your dress i love your hair like that the way it falls on the side of your neck down your shoulders [Music] [Music] you got the kind of look in your eyes as if no one knows anything but eyes and should this be the last thing i see i want you to know it's enough for me cause all that you are is all that i'll ever need so in love so in love [Laughter] you look so wonderful in your dress i love your hair like [Music] so good so so good it's all tone with him and that's what i love he he doesn't come out of the gate trying to sing as much as he can it's just pure tone it's so beautiful it's just so honest when he sings it's it's just pure music it's beautiful up next is the incredible blind edition from timothy bowman from australia he was actually on my season of the voice and one of my favorite people and one of my favorite singers on this series to hear you singing i can't make you love me inside my head lay down with me tell me no lies just hold me close don't [Music] oh please don't stop please that was just there there's more to this to this particular audition so tim's audition was actually two after mine so i had just finished had just gotten through and was obviously so excited i was still in the room and out walks tim and he starts singing this song and i'm i'm not exaggerating when i say this there you could literally have heard a pin drop every everyone was dead silent and just staring at him and listening and taking it all in it was it was incredibly moving and i'm sure you can feel it when you watch the video but if you were in that room it was a moment and more than that i mean this is because i know him but obviously there's a bit more of a personal connection all of that aside he's incredible but if you meet this guy and you spend time with him you'll love him even more he's one of the most genuine people and just a great artist great writer um just a yeah incredible incredible artist he's from my home here in australia his name is judah kelly and he's singing tennessee whiskey by chris stapleton [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] cause there's nothing [Music] [Applause] tennessee whiskey [Music] your calories [Music] [Applause] [Music] all your love all the time [Applause] [Music] all your love oh [Music] [Applause] oh so good so good the thing i love about judah is he he literally looks like he's he's rolled out of bed and just loves music and wants to get on stage and play there is no agenda there's no there's no pretending judah is who he is and he just he just loves he loves to sing and that is so clear to me and he's so skillful like i think that's that's often mis yeah not not looked at as much um but he's incredibly vocally skillful it's it's incredible i i think judah's personality really shines through whenever he sings and he's just a good guy it's it's unreal and up next is the incredible one of my favorite blind auditions it's from menno aven he's from the netherlands and he's singing it make it rain by ed [Applause] sheeran this guy's wearing what i would wear i like him and the pain of my mother [Music] even though this fire brings me pain even so i'm just the same make it rain make it rain everyone turning is not a shock to me this is unreal it grows out of the ground [Music] well i know they can come tears from their eyes [Applause] [Music] [Music] make it rain that was like the the ultimate combination it's like ed sheeran meets like alan stone or or even someone like pj morton like he he's just taken ed sheeran and then plumped a bunch of r b into it so good that that was feel i love that so this is another one of my favorite blind auditions it's actually from here in australia daniel shaw singing beneath your beautiful by labyrinth [Applause] [Music] [Applause] but that won't scare me away oh no but you've carried on for so long you couldn't stop if you tried it i can feel it the connection here and you built your walls so no one can climb [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] would you let [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] tonight [Applause] wow that is the epitome of tone i mean that is a a very difficult song to sing because it is all about emotion and when you're not the writer or you're not the original singer of the song it's incredibly hard but he just he got all of that i mean i i don't think there would have been a dry eye in that room that was incredible one of my favorite blind auditions is from australia her name is kim and she's singing both sides now by jodi mitchell this is unbelievable [Music] and ice cream castles in the air and fed [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] what a voice [Music] illusions that i i've seen this and i'm still feeling it i really don't know it's life's illusions that i recall i really don't know life at all what a gift what an absolute gift to be able to move people with with something you know that melody is beautiful but it's not like it's not moving a lot it's not it's not huge it's not it what it is it's incredibly personal and it's a gift to be able to make people feel and to put that that much emotion into her vocal it's unbelievable there's there's definitely a theme i feel like i've changed a lot you know over the last few years as to what i'm drawn to and i think for a really long time i've loved skill and i've loved range and i've loved you know people doing tricks and now it's just about how much someone can make me feel and that is an example of someone that is just so gifted at emotional singing it's that i mean that was unbelievable this is my absolute favorite blind audition admittedly i only saw this recently so please watch thunderstorm singing one of my favorite songs of all time black birds [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh [Music] wow [Music] yeah had to happen [Applause] this is special [Music] wow [Music] [Applause] oh that's that michael jackson that is an absolute moment i think i mean it being my favorite beatles song of all time is is definitely something that drew me to that song but he he is one of the best examples i think i can give you of someone that is a combination of vocal skill and feel he he didn't try and do a whole bunch of stuff he was so delicate the things that he did do with that song was so delicate and so beautiful and so on purpose i don't think anything was out of place or by accident i think he every little inflection every little bit of vibrato was planned and and and thought out that for me is the reason why i am picking this
