The site of Aman Kyoto is approximately 24,000 square meters. It is the entrance, the gate, and the Japanese restaurant that I introduced before. There is a main gate ahead. This is the room where I am now. There is a restaurant and a garden (Kerry Hill Garden). There is Aman spa. There is a suite villa on a slightly higher place. Further up there is a mountain. There is also a room called Hotaru(蛍) and a stone Buddha(石仏). Take a walk around the grounds of Aman Kyoto. In the back is a stone Buddha.
It feels like there is only a stone Buddha. It's a swamp. It seems that you can smoke here. Guests staying in suites move by cart. It is a pond called Water Lily Pond. Aman Kyoto was originally a land called "Kamiyagawa Garden", and this garden was created over 40 years. Architect Kerry Hill found Kamiyagawa Gardens and from there began construction of Aman Kyoto, which took 20 years to complete. If you climb further up, there is a place called Amagamine. It was difficult to walk, so I gave up on the way. This is the suite villa. In terms of price, it will be over 1 million yen ($8000) per night. Even the standard rooms are decent enough, so staying in a suite doesn't seem like much of a necessity. It takes about 40 minutes to walk the entire site. There are mountain roads on the way, so it may be difficult. I don't usually walk in the mountains, so the mountain trails are fresh. After walking in the mountains, soak in the hot springs at Aman Spa. Aman Spa offers yoga, esthetics, and hot springs. It's nice to have a hot spring. Esthetics and yoga are also attractive. The esthetic salon uses Aman Kyoto original oils and cosmetics. There is also a facial course at the beauty salon. It's a spa locker. It's a washbasin. The outside is an open-air bath made of rocks. There were few people and I was able to spend time calmly. Hot water is of course a hot spring. It is recommended to enter the hot spring after walking around the hotel grounds. In the evening, I go to a restaurant. The restaurant is called The Living Pavilion. The restaurant is a dining room, not a private room. Take a seat at the edge. It's a butter knife. For drinks, I ordered a non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Meal menu. I think it's Italian as a genre of food. The main dishes are fish and meat. The rest is dessert. Amuse comes out first. This is "Tomato Gazpacho from Tanii Farm". Luxury ingredients such as sea urchin and vegetables are used. This is French bread.
It was really stiff. Butter. This is a dish called "corn pavaroa, water jamon serrano, Tokyo mozzarella". It's a summer dish. The taste is also excellent. This is a dish called "Fried sweetfish, cucumber and fenuille". The fish are amazing. It's a nice addition of vegetables. This is a dish called "Eel and Kamo Eggplant, Organic Almonds". It's hard to see, but eel and eggplant are inside. It fell apart and was difficult to eat. The eel was delicious. This is the main dish "Kyoto Wagyu fillet, seasonal vegetables, port wine and Matsuno soy sauce". Eat the fillet with soy sauce clumps of wasabi. The vegetables were young corn. Fillet meat is a stable deliciousness. Next is a dish called "Riso pilaf with conger eel and Manganji chili peppers, Nagasaki chili peppers". Pilaf with lots of vegetables. The amount of food was quite large.
In addition to the main fish and meat dishes, bread and rice are also served, so the volume is perfect. Pour the soup stock over the pilaf and eat it like ochazuke. It's a strange taste with dashi soup. The pilaf was also delicious. Dessert is “Tanii Farm lemongrass sorbet and organic lemon”. There is something like a frothy sweet mousse on top. Another dessert is "Yuge Farm Fromage Frais, Mango, Coconut, Brown Green Tea Ice Cream". Desserts are also filling. Finally, Kyoto sweets and tea. Put milk in your tea. All the dishes were delicious. Return to your room from the dining area. The road is quite dark. It's a great hotel with a lot of grounds. I'm pretty full. When I returned to my room, the turndown service was over. A fan was placed on the desk. It's been a long time since I held a fan. Fans are not allowed to be taken home.
They are sold at the shop for a fee. It's bath time.
I'll give you some hot water. It took a while for hot water to come out. The bathtub is quite large, so it takes a little less than an hour to fill up with hot water. It's normal hot water, not a hot spring. The hot water is coming out nicely. Add herbs. After washing your body, soak in hot water. The bathtub is quite large, so I think even people with large bodies can relax slowly. I go to bed after taking a bath. The next morning. I go to the breakfast hall. Breakfast is at the same restaurant as dinner. The restaurant also has terrace seating. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy your meal on the terrace. Water and hojicha from Kyoto. Salad. For breakfast, you can choose between a Japanese breakfast and a Western breakfast. Fish. Summer vegetable. Ginger. Yuba. Eggplant. It's also a fish. Shrimp. Dashi rolled egg. There are many foods. Egg dish. There are salads, breads and cereals. The rest is sweets and yogurts. The restaurant also serves sweets and afternoon tea at lunchtime. Afternoon tea is also popular, so it seems that non-guests also come. After dinner.
I have an apple. I don't usually have a chance to cut it, so I'm nervous. It blew up a little, but it cuts well. The black plate of apples is also a nice touch. The site is large, but it is difficult to move. I can't roll my suitcase. Finally, I got Aman's customary name tag. Aman Kyoto is a color like green. Other Aman resorts in Japan…Aman Tokyo was black and Amanemu was gray name tag. Another good thing about Aman is that you can get a name tag at the end. I put my name tag on my suitcase. Aman Tokyo.
The interior is focused on light brown, black, and white, and I feel that everywhere is pretty particular. Amanemu.
I feel that there are many people who like Amanemu the most among Aman resorts in Japan. I went to Kinkakuji, a World Heritage Site, because it was close to Aman Kyoto. It takes about 20 minutes on foot from Aman Kyoto to Kinkakuji. It might be better to go by taxi. Unfortunately, video recording was prohibited at Kinkakuji. It seems that it is good for taking pictures and enjoying Kinkakuji, but it seems that posting photos and videos on SNS is prohibited. I visited Kinkakuji and went to a nearby store. There are Kyoto-style takoyaki and gold powder ice cream. Kinkakuji pamphlet and certificate of worship. Soft cream with gold powder. Kyoto-style takoyaki. It is takoyaki with soy sauce. I go to kyoto station by taxi. That's it for the stay video of Aman Kyoto.
Aman in Kyoto was also a hotel like Aman. Honestly, I think the price is too high, but the grounds in the hotel were fine. For those who don't go to Kyoto often, I think staying at Aman Kyoto will be a good stay. Thank you for your viewing.
