what's dad doing bringing off some more junk no old treasures all right explain what this thing is it's an allis-chalmers hd5 do we know how old this fifties late 50s it's been sitting here for how long 15 years you don't know what the last time it ran sure so it's a crawler loader with a small Ripper yeah it's got a lot 353 Detroit 271 tea-tray so it's a little 2 cylinder two-stroke Detroit engine and he tried to get it running but I guess one that one or more of the valves this is stuck I don't know if the exhaust has always been covered but got water in it the blocks not frozen is it that correct anyway cranks over so it's not stuck but no compression or at least no compression on one cylinder when you only got to carefully can't really count on the other one to carry it anyway she's pretty sad but mostly he just wants the Ripper but part of the deal is we got to take the whole machine there's any more tines for it or that's all you're getting trackbill motive company Deerfield Illinois okay so it looks like the loader and the Ripper frame were made by that track tow motive company well if they're still in business I don't know remember that international we had to had a Huff loader on it cute little machine sprockets are perfect on it you think they turn all right well we got 24,000 pounds of pulling power so hopefully that's enough yeah the front idlers are real nice - mm-hmm beefy loader these wheels are formed it's like some practice welding there be looking around I can't get over how small the bucket is it's a tiny little thing all right anyway that's our treasure it's got to go on the rollback all right here's the setup right now we got a snatch block to the bottom of my deck and it's pulling but one side the the track on the far side won't won't roll so we're just having to skid it on that side so I don't know we're gonna something's hanging up with either the brake of the clutch and we think the transmission is locked up so or the main clutch is locked up something something I mean everything's locked up anyway we do have one track roll on the other track not rolling so we're gonna re hitch and then see if I can get some video pulling up on the trailer [Music] all right it seems to be working I'm trying to pull it over towards me a little bit but I don't know how well it's gonna skid see the one track turns the other track doesn't should I have more for breakfast [Music] [Music] yeah we don't want it to go straight we wanted to come this way okay I think we've got it on the run we're up past the tipping point so this side it's nice and pretty so this was my innovation here we found this PVC water pipe and I just stuck it underneath the tracks and it's made kind of like a little skid so we're gonna slide this track up so we see if we can winch it the rest of the way up on the truck yeah you're still okay you got six inches for you're in trouble yeah [Music] [Music] right there [Music] well here's our prize on the truck all rights pretty good [Music] your mom's home okay we buy we probably keep her in the house for this part anything yeah all right she has made it from somewhere in northwest Illinois to somewhere in Northeast [Applause] is it the prize we thought it was nice Ripper though the reason I got to a motive corporation I even got the hood well you have to free up this track I don't think you can drive it around on top of these water pipes boom cylinders are pretty well shot I noticed there's a bunch of slop in that Ripper from Purple Rain when we're pulling on it to you boy at this prize oh yeah run by tomorrow I used me to make sure they're that racks not stuck or the injectors are stuck it's got the injector is stuck yeah it looks good looks like some kind of heated heat surrounder on the exhaust manifold a muffler okay that's all they did it allis-chalmers hd5 it's his baby now no it's not I don't know but something's something's walking shows up on the camera but yeah it's the front idlers towed out at the bottom track range like it's the other side the same way no no it's okay it'll be obvious if you clean it up a little bit what that is I think it's that now it just was this in the Detroit service manual mm-hm maybe the people go bananas on the youtube if you use a screwdriver as a pry bar so just tell everybody that's a pry bar yep [Applause]
