golly look at that welcome back to the channel guys it is june the 1st and yes we took the whole weekend off and we actually took off memorial day and uh we really enjoyed it and now we're back at work and we're ready to get after it i noticed over the weekend we gained a lot of subscribers so i'll give you a quick update to the new subscribers my name is daniel and you're watching triple r farms and uh we're a four commodity farm that's uh located right in this central alabama we're down in the middle right there by montgomery and we're a fourth generation farm and on these videos you're just going to get a day to day of what goes on on the farm and we'll give you the good bad and the ugly and i hope you like it so let's get started the four commodities that we grow on our farm is uh cotton corn soybeans and wheat okay so what we got on tap for today is uh dad's been noticing we have a huge problem with wildlife here in alabama where we're located especially with soybeans we have some farms we can't even grow soybeans in so he's been noticing the deer hammering some fields over in the valley i'm going to throw this deer to turn in there and go spray about 66 acres something like that and uh then later i will be heading over to toggville and when we get back on the wheat harvest this is what i'm using i tried some of it last year and it worked really good i only was able to get a little bit of it because this stuff is made over in switzerland and uh we just couldn't get our hands on it we just got our hands on just a sample and um bh genetics who i buy my corn seed from anyway they are able to that now this year be a dealer of it so what it is is a made over there in switzerland and they developed it to keep hogs out of their fields and stuff well they later realized that now that we've got it over here in the united states it works on dr2 so hog and deer deterrent and it's called energetic but i won't go into explaining exactly how it works because i'm really new to it so if you want to just look it up look it up online but i will keep you all up to date on how it is working this year so this is what it comes in it comes in a dry kind of powder form and it comes in these bags right here so two of these bags right here i'll treat 66 acres um not really sure on the cost i'll have to get back with y'all on that but it's on the expensive side and that's why we may end up just doing the borders of some of the fields and not doing the whole field but if it works it'll be worth the money for sure so we'll uh throw this in there and we'll get it sprayed and then we'll move on to togavio dad and pa they are at sugarberry and they've had all kind of trouble with the case 340 tractor uh the fuel i don't know they got some kind of fuel problem and had to order a fuel sensor that's on the bottom of the filter that didn't work um so they're still having issues and hopefully they'll get that figured out because we're running that high speed disc and uh pa is trying to keep up in front of dad with the high speed and dad's coming right behind him planting so uh they need to get that tractor fixed so they can go ahead and knock out sugar berry and then they can move to toggaville and come behind me on the wheat and plant beans went over there and cranked my rotator up and i saw a little spot uh up under it had some hydraulic oil and i got a little leak i'm thinking it's either that one right there but i think it's the one above it right there of course it has to be way up in there bigger than that that's the right wrench i just can't get in there can't get there all right it was that top fitting i don't know it just somehow worked his way loose with all the twisting and bouncing and all that it's tight now so should be good to go [Music] all right i'll show you what the uh deer will do to cotton what they're doing is they're biting they're just biting the tops they're biting the fresh leaves and they'll just bite the whole stem and all and this is what you're left with and they'll just go right down the road every night just just eating just eating the tops of it out you got that one right there and has not been eaten and then you got that awful hopefully what we're putting out will work i don't know we deal with this all the time all right now we're over here where the soybeans are and uh boy they are really hammering this field once again they're just going down the road just biting the tops of the plants off and they're doing this every night and you can tell in this field they course like soybeans a lot better than cotton uh but you can tell they've pretty much eaten all this right here you can see on that ridge soybeans get bigger that's kind of where they stop grazing they have wiped out this whole area it'll make something but it won't make anything great [Applause] what they wanted me to do with this penergetic is um they wanted me to get it out here at planting like right when we planted before the crops come up they wanted me to do an application and uh a preventative application something different different than i did not do last year so they wanted the preventative application out at planning and they probably come back about right now with the second shot and uh anyway that's not gonna happen this year we're getting it out right now it's the best i can do so we'll keep you posted on it hopefully it'll work [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] you [Music] [Music] oh that makes me sick looking at that deer damage and the worst part about it is we're in a really bad drought right now we're in desperate need of some rain and that's hurting us even more with the deer because the beans aren't really growing if we were getting some rain the beans would be outgrowing the deer damage and right now the deer are they're in charge they're whooping us i just can't stand it i'm gonna grab some load tickets out of the office in case we do have some 18 wheelers uh that come out there to the field to get loaded and go straight to the buying point and uh then we're gonna head to toggleville and uh we'll get to combining pretty quick here doing some wheat so uh y'all come along let's see we can get done and i got my drone so we'll get some good drone footage again today golly look at that there's really not much degrees on these headers every day it's just two fittings here on the end of the blade and uh the reel i don't do it every day uh the rest of the stuff um it's like every 50 hours so we'll agree that we'll grease the header up and then i'll do a walk through to make sure i don't have any broke blades or knives and then we'll get started so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] well guys that's gonna be it for the video um we had to shut it down got everything full grain carts combined we're just uh we don't have any trucks right now so uh shutting it down early but we had a great day uh i think i've got the trucking figured out tomorrow 99 sure i did hear from dad that he said that uh we did get our other 18-wheeler out of the shop and they got it hooked up to the trailer and all so we will have that tomorrow and i'm pretty sure i got two other trucks that are coming to the field so we'll have four trucks running tomorrow so um that ought to help knock out some wheat pretty good but anyway wheat was good great day of harvest uh you can't beat it man here in alabama right now weather's like 80 degrees and uh we got rain chances coming this week so uh it's gonna be a great week here so hope you all enjoyed the video and uh we'll see you on the next one
