Wow! I consider myself relatively well-educated, but this fellow told me stuff I never heard of. And he did it in a rational, fair way, without any of the hyperbole of some who speak on this topic.
What I find interesting is the amount of downvotes this talk is receiving. Only 70% upvoted makes it one of the most controversial posts on this site. Even links I share claiming the entire media is a sham and a front for big business interests and state power still get 90% upvoted. Perhaps Akala is right in that critical scrutiny of racism is more dangerous than anything else to people.
Great talk, would highly recommend. Shame some of the question were a bit off point though.
