Akai MPC Live/X Bluetooth Midi and iPad Synthesizers

hey everybody if you followed my last video to set up bluetooth between your mpc and your ipad to get midi working and you're wondering how to get synths working then i want to show you a couple things here so right now if you see i have the synth running on the ipad and nothing is playing for sound i've just come into the sampler just to show this but if i touch the off to in on monitor i can now hear the inputs nothing fancy just have the usb out to the inputs here if you want to adjust the sound you can adjust the gain on the back and if you also if you don't hear anything then you might want to check your volume on your ipad or whatever device you're using so that's nice that i can touch the ipad keys to record sound but if you watch here i can hit the pads and nothing's happening that's because i'm not on a midi track and i just need to switch change the track type to midi but the problem you'll see is here is if i change use the data wheel i've got mpca mpcb and remote i don't see the ipad as a target source and if i go over here into settings and bluetooth you can see i have the ipad here and i can touch connect as many times as i want and it will never connect the problem is that the mpc apparently can't generate that kind of a signal so i need to go into my settings under bluetooth where it says my mpc and just touch it to connect it and now i'm connected which you can then come over here and see it might be a little hard to see but the change to from saying not connected to connected over here so i am connected if i want to disconnect i can but that's not what i'm looking to do i'm now going back to my midi the track that i've set to a midi type and i can immediately see the midi port that has my ipad in it so i can now change to different pads and now i can use the midi to play audio off of my ipad and get it back into the mpc hope that helps you out and see see you guys later bye
