Air Ducts After Being Spray Foamed EIGHT YEARS AGO!!

[Music] it's really hot up here all right sup guys beau bird with bird family insulation coming at you again this week we have the the uh a second pleasure this week of having courtney out who's recording this video right now uh usually he's only with us on one job a week but we've got it for two jobs a week so thank you courtney for making that happen we actually have a unique pleasure of working an attic that actually has a an improvement measure already done to it that we offer so if you look up here this gentleman about eight years ago i believe is what he said had a company come out and remove the fiberglass wrap insulation that was previously on his metal ducts and then they spray foamed them with closed cell foam now everyone's entitled their own opinion but i will say that this has done wonders for his ducks he noticed an immediate difference and um sorry that's my guy he's installing some insulation in the other attic so um anything done properly and efficiently and especially with spray foam this was done actually very very well i'm really impressed but they did a pre-test to see how leaky his ducks were and it was over 30 30 leakage through his ducks so of course when you spray foam on that goes to zero so he was losing if you want to think of it in a dollar term for every dollar he was spending on his hvac bill he was losing 30 cents if you want to think of it that way so and then they retested the ducks after they spray foamed them and of course it's zero um or the very little bit that's leaking through his furnace and plenum areas like that so um again we do offer this service we have a package right now that we just started this year it's called the shade tree and what we do is we come in and we do exactly what you see here uh we spray foam the ducts even if it's hard pipe or flex duct you can do it on both types hard pipe just looks better because it's a smooth surface flex stuck doesn't look this good i'm sorry but uh we spray from the ducts and then we uh bump up the attic and that does wonders for a home you get the same more or less i'd say probably 80 to 90 percent of the same results as spray foaming and encapsulating your attic okay for probably half to two-thirds of the cost so anyway if you have any other questions hit us up birdfamilyinsulation.com or call the office or talk to my sister savannah thanks so much guys you
