Abandoned boat in Gulf of Mexico

this is my radar this ring right here is my gourds a few minutes ago it went off probably go off at the end there's something else in this area so small it's not even picking it up as far as a blip here - you're just ship here now get like and read every now and then whatever's up in here we'll set it off take a look outside real quick [Music] shift off they're on enough to see it or not [Music] recom out right over there off in that distance a little white oh it's probably a boat or some sort Wow hello escape pod Houston Texas well the Coast Guard yep seen the water behind it 15650 mission hello coastguard hello coastguard hello Christine hello Doug Kelly hello Doug Kelly hello Doug Kelly you hello Coast Guard hello Coast Guard hello Coast Guard you great somebody on frequency please come up yes I'd like to report a vessel that I just run across in the Gulf of Mexico that's adrift my vessel is sailing vessel cariann I'm out in the Gulf of Mexico but I have run across another sailboat that is the drift with its sails and tethers and there is a PFD floating behind the boat I just did a sailboat adrift out here the sails are in tatters and there's a PFD floating behind the sailboat Roger the name of that sailboat is escape pod out of Houston Texas [Applause] yeah it appears to me a 35-foot white hole boat on the port side there is red paint just splattered all over the side of it I circled the boat blew my horn no one came up I did not go on the move [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] my vessel name is Carrie Anne everything is okay on my move [Applause] registration of all members over I did not notice any whole numbers I'm a little ways away from it by now but I could turn around and go check give me about five or ten minutes I'm gonna look at the front for our Texas registration or something I'm not going on board copy loud and clear Roger [Music] [Music] you're very very weak all of a sudden hopefully someone on the intercom net can confirm that or not whiskey alpha what november dream radio going back dice and confirming to seven degrees my six minutes five zero eight nine four four four seven four west is that correct over Roger [Music] the domain that is encounters is speaky stinkpot and nobody appears to be on board over kerri-anne circled the vessel wind blew his horn but he did not go on the vessel is there any debris of the water other than the tattered failover Roger there is a PFD floating behind the boat confirm to this Coast Guard that it is not a escape pod it is a sail boat named escape pod [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] coffee that co-starred [Applause] it's a white 35 foot approximately 35 foot sailboat it has red paint dumped all over the portside the paint can is actually sitting on the on the hole [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] an hour up and on the phone with the Coast Guard neck control Coast Guard Key West one of the guys on that control did an internet search and said this boat people were rescued off this boat May 3rd the Coast Guard does can't confirm that they've asked me stick around for a little bit I advised him I want to get on down the road because I got a ways to go it's like 100 Cherubini 35-foot interesting they're using the D shape for motor sailing sounds like that got caught in the blue earlier in the week [Music] Here I am 106 you something miles off the coast and lo and behold look who's here there's John on alkane he's head to the Florida [Music] we will exchange greetings and I will be on my way [Music] you
