AGE DEFYING MAKEUP | 80'S EDITION | Nikol Johnson

hi everyone welcome back to my channel so continuing on with my fierce aging series I have a very special guest to speech her today in my studio her name is Eve she is also a client of mine and she's 83 years young so this is to demonstrate that age is just a number ladies you can have beautiful makeup no matter what age and I'm here to demonstrate that this is not about tons of makeup it's not about covering up it's not about instagram-worthy makeup I personally I just that is just not my style and I wanted to show you how beautiful Eve looks and she is very active she's very stylish she does Pilates every day she's an interior designer she travels from Palm Beach to Miami I remember when she first walked into the studio in knee-high boots I was like we're gonna get along so I had a couple years ago did her permanent makeup for her brows they look absolutely beautiful and you're gonna see just how natural she looks so without further ado let's get into the tutorial [Music] all right so we are gonna start with Eve's makeup we have a clean canvas right now and I'm going to be putting on a little moisturizer for her skin we always want to hydrate the skin before makeup application so today I decided to use the caudally this is veno source this is going to be a moisturizing sorbet for sensitive skin I thought this would be really wonderful just to hydrate Eve skin just let it soak in I'm gonna work on her eyes and everything else before I go into the foundation but I really want her to have a nice canvas do you feel like your skin gets dehydrated a lot probably yeah I'm gonna buy that you just put this on right before you glue you makeup right they're gonna put this on so you'll feel really hydrated so when you wake up in the morning and you feel like your skin is just a little dry you don't want to put makeup on yet you want to have a nice hydration to the skin and you'll feel it right away you feel how it's like soaking into the skin yeah well I shouldn't talk now you can talk I want you to talk now ladies would you like moisturizer and stuff but then I don't put my makeup on right away great well that's good though cuz it's gonna soak in first you want it to soak in so you wanted to hydrate the skin that you put on just be but before you put your makeup after you do your daily routine right all right so we're gonna let that sit in on each skin and we're gonna go in with the eye and lip primer so this is going to again neutralize her lids so there's a little bit of redness a little bit of discoloration this is gonna blanch it out right away so this is creamy this is a night I mean we've been using I've been using this in the studio I think eight years now close so you'll see that it's going to give her a really nice nude eye so it's taking out all the red all of the darkness you really want to pop the eyes so you'll see the difference between the two so you take it all the way up to the brow bone and what's really nice about this is that it's going to allow your your shadows to stay longer they're gonna read truer they're going to go on the exact color they are because they're not mixing with your actual skin tone that's dark or red or pigmented so you can see if you look right straight in the camera here you can see that this is the one close close race this one is nicely primed it's all even a nice even skin tone and then you have the one that is not this eye has not been treated so you can see there's a little bit of discoloration a little bit darker here so that's why you really want to prime your eyes prior to doing your eye shadow so you can do this with your hands ladies you don't need to use a brush it's easier application for me to do a brush then did use my fingers when I'm working on somebody if it's myself I just take it with my finger and I put it on my eyes and I just rub it in so you can keep it very simple this is a brush kit that I'm going to use for Eve's makeup it makes it very simple especially when you're in your 80s and you don't want to have a lot of steps you don't want to have a lot of brushes I created this little traveling brush set that is very affordable it's $45 so you can just take your brushes with you you can just have a couple brushes you don't have to get overwhelmed and there's two eyeshadow brushes that are going to work perfectly for our look today in this kit and we're gonna go into the bear at all this is a new palette for fresh Beauty studio it's an all matte palette do you love it you haven't seen this one before I have a lot of those that's what I mostly was see I knew II would would love this palette because she does wear it a nice palette yeah that's a great palette she uses just nice natural matte shadows so I thought we would do that today and then I know you would like liner so I was gonna do a little pretty liner for you so I'm just going to go into this really beautiful peachy creamy color here for all over her eye this is going to really lighten and brighten so it's just on the actual lid that I'm doing taking it all the way into the corner I want everything to be nice and light then I'm going to take the second brush that's in the kit and this is a little nice fluffy brush so I'm going to go into the taupe color just load it up on the side and then we're going to go right into we're going to go right into this socket here I want to create a little dimension for Eve it's like a windshield wiper motion so she's gonna get a really pretty little bit of contour going on in her eye socket here you may see a little bit and again it's about blending ladies you can just don't need a lot of product on the brush you go in and you just nicely work the product into the eye socket so it's right below the brow bone now we're gonna take the same brush and we're gonna go into this milk chocolate color this is gonna be really pretty just on the outer corners of Eve's eye I want to give a little extra dimension so don't worry if it you feel like it looks like too much right now and it looks messy because we're gonna go back in and blend I'm gonna just wipe off my brush and then I'm gonna go in and I'm going to just really lend the colors together relax your face so then we're going to go back we're going to go back in with just this lightest color just to highlight the brow bone now I'm going to take the ah mate makeup pads this is a oil-free makeup pod do you use this Oh what is that these are the makeup pads that just take off makeup underneath your eye over the eye remover yeah oh I want that they're great to travel yeah they're really dry right they don't try and you can just take off your makeup really easily so you can see the eye - yep the whole I could I use this so if there's any fallout from what I just did you can see what I could use that for the whole life whole eye mm-hmm so I'm just gonna do this so I can just make sure it's not hard to travel with no and it's not liquid so you can't yeah alright so we're gonna go in with the dark chocolate you know I love dark chocolate for all of my ladies myself included this is a waterproof eyeliner and it's nice and creamy it's going to last all day because it's waterproof and just look down don't close look down bright perfect so I'm gonna go into the actual lash line I don't want to make a huge line that's gonna look heavy and it's gonna weigh down the I want it to look beautiful I wanted to outline Eve's eye but I don't want to put so much liner on that it ages hurt and looks heavy I see look at me look into the camera here so you see I've stopped right now so you can see with Eve we have right in the lashline see how it makes our lashline look thicker but we don't we're not adding heaviness to her eye and then we stopped right here so I want you to see how I'm actually in the line so if it feels weird and you're doing it to yourself and you feel like you're almost in that wet line almost feel like oh my gosh am I really close to my eye you're doing it right it feels weird because you're actually in the lashline so it's a nice trick to build up your lashes but not add heaviness to your eye into the camera all right smile all right so I'm gonna just do a little bit underneath just a tad because I want to balance out the two cuz Eve's very light and so I don't want to it's waterproof so it's going to stay I just want a little bit of just dimension right at the base so you do see I'm just lining it so it looks natural but there is something there I like doing that because a lot of times as we age we don't have a lot of lashes so you don't get any dimension with color so putting a little bit of liner on gives you that so we're gonna go in with again the corrector from ever I really do like this line because it's very simple and it has a lot of anti-aging ingredients in it ever actually is a skincare line that doesn't have all the nasties glycol parabens etc so I like using this line I have really fallen in love with the corrector and also the concealer and they're tinted moisturizers are really beautiful so I'm using this peachy color because I want to take out you can see that there's a little bit of just purples and just the veins coming to the surface so I want to really just diffuse that first and then I'll go over with a concealer so these are very simple easy steps it's going to moisturize your skin also and I take it all the way up into this corner do you see how they're the darkness will come up into this area you just want to really neutralize everything out and I'm gonna take the medium concealer from ever on Eve skin I wanted a warming up just a little bit this is going to be just a little bit more warm for her skin I didn't want to lighten it too much we're gonna go in with a little bit of a different foundation that Yves really loves which is the airbrush foundation from temptu so you can see that I am basically taking down the concealer on her cheek I like to just not have it where there's a demarcation line I really want to give that whole area some lightness and there's really no rules ladies wherever you see you know if you want to bring it down just so it's in this area where you want to have lightness that is okay to do all right so this is the temptu air this is something I fell in love with I love it she loves to be working with this because it's very simple it is an at-home airbrush foundation system you can also these are just little pods that stick on here so you stick on the pod and then they have four blushes they also have four highlighters and bronzers so we're going to just do the foundation today it's a very very simple if you like to get in and out the door like Eve does she's very busy with Pilates and traveling that's it great to travel with she loves to travel with this so it's very simple you really can't make any mistakes with it so we're gonna just turn it on and we're gonna just apply her foundation with the airbrush your eyes closed this is gonna give Eve a dewy finish this is a silk pod so this is going to give her some really beautiful illuminated skin it's gonna give her a nice coverage it's not gonna give her too much coverage you can do as much or as little as you want we're using a rose beige I wanted to give her not too much yellow in her skin it's gonna just keep it really nice and hydrated and you can bring this down on your neck too so it's all nice and blended what's really nice too is turn your face a little bit if you have little spots that your you don't really like to see you like more coverage for them you can spend a little bit more time right on those so on this little spot up here we'll just camouflage it a little bit more as you can see but it doesn't look heavy it's still very light it's very dewy I really I listened I couldn't keep these in stock in my studio everybody loved them so much so while this is kind of studying we're gonna do her mascara I'm using Chanel volumous it's one of my favorites mascaras I'm just gonna use a disposable wand and I'm going to just go from the base to the the tips of the lashes I'm not going to try Yves has very short lashes I'm not going to try to get in there and use any kind of curling on her lash right now look down so I'm just gonna take earth brown brow pencil on aims brows and she had permanent makeup done by me and she's due for a touch-up but they look beautiful and I've showed you some before-and-afters yeah they were really really made a huge difference on you face there's almost like a facelift right you have like an eye lift it looked like when we finished the what oh great I'm coming every day all right so I'm just gonna fill them in just a little bit to give her more dimension we're just gonna follow the lines that we had created with the permanent makeup I've been using the eye mascara that I got from you the it was in a gold tooth Oh was that the oh you mean for the lash serum no no for the eyebrows oh that route oh yeah yeah the brow serum right yeah it was in the gold tube so you've been growing your brows I'm better without them in the pencil oh you've been using the brow film right oh yes okay so well I'm gonna pull that out so they can see what that is what we did do you think I bought that from you so what he's talking about is the grande brow fill this is a really wonderful product that is peptides and also fibers made in Italy it's $20 it's the easiest thing to do you have great brows you can cover them up you need more brows you need a little bit more of a thicker look you can use this so you've been look and it has a little wand tiny little ones comes in late and dark and then you just apply it over the brow hair tames your brow so she has one little great brow here and you'll notice in a minute it is totally gone I love that mean I can't get enough of this product I love this product so you don't have any more great routes that nice and we kept it we didn't pluck it out yeah well when you first did my brows I didn't need anything good you know it's it's how long is there two years yeah that's the answer that's why you need a little touch yeah just a refresh looks beautiful still just needs a little refresh so we're gonna add some beautiful color to each skin we have the lovey dovey looks a little scary cuz it's bright but it goes on very sheer so you just need a little bit smile I love that looks very pretty yeah so call adding color to the face is very important I carried that with me so that if I need touch up during the day nothing happens to it when you have it with you nothing and how long have you had it it lasts forever see okay it looks very beautiful this just just live into her face you need color you don't need too much though but you want to have some color looking really natural we're going to go in with the organza waterproof lip liner one of my favorite lip liners that is basically like an everyday lip liner you want your lip liners to stay I find that this being waterproof really does last a long time this is what I wear every day in the studio every day of my life it has a little lip brush on the end so you can you know if you have a little lip pot or if you wanted to just you know kind of work the lipstick into your lips you have that option on the other side did you know that and then we chose today FBS this is one of our colors it's a really pretty kind of a Bobby pinky neutral Yves likes to wear more neutral colors so I'm putting FBS on her it's just very just very pretty high gloss moisturizing and one of these favorite products is the grande lip the the spicy mauve ladies you know you don't we've been using this you've been ordering it you just pump it up from the bottom it has a volute lip in it it is a lip plumping hydrating it's cumulative it will plump your lips over time those fine lines and wrinkles are the round the tip of your or the top of your mouth this will help that'll hydrate it so we do love just adding a little bit of gloss freshens up the look gives you that young youthful lip you don't need that much but I want to add a little bit on Eve because I know that she loves this and you feel a little bit of that plumping what I'm gonna do is I'm going to just use this India Hicks uber mist I'm gonna set her I'm gonna hydrate her skin I'm going to set it with this mist now close your eyes close just on it's a nice little hydrator it's going to freshen set the makeup for the day so I wanted to ask you for our audience that might be in their late 70s or 80s are there any questions that you have for troubleshooting your makeup that maybe they are also having oh not really just a matter of how you apply it you know but I feel what you do mm-hmm and so you could follow them field the placements right the placement of it it's sometimes it's and I use the products that you use of me so it's not that but sometimes you don't put it on by it right and I could feel what you did with the eyeliner and with the up in the crease mm-hmm and the corner and for an everyday fresh look this is I love it good so I want new ladies just to know that you can do makeup it's very simple we did you know we didn't do that many steps when you practice I mean Eve does this so I can say for someone that's 83 she's doing her makeup and these simple steps and I think that the temptu helps you though the foundation I love the chance you it's easy I mean I've used other foundations and they look look good but that's so easy and when I travel it's great because the parts are easy you just and I have a little kid you know what about mm-hmm that for to put it in mm-hmm and I love it and you could take it through security and so problem yeah that was this she's so cute she really is she really I'm glad that I was able to I was a little nervous when we from when I first sold it to you cuz I thought oh no what did I do just leave leave with this little machine but she's really adapted to it it's very easy for her and I think that is the key to a lot of makeup is finding things that work for you that are easy and you know enjoy when I first got it I was intimidated by it and I was afraid I didn't use it for like weeks then once I started now I mean during the week sometimes I just use a tinted moisturizer when I go to Pilates or Target or something and so it evens the skin out but although other than that that's all I use well that's good I stopped using all my liquid makeups and everything yeah and and it looks beautiful on you that's worth using you don't feel like you're wearing makeup you know and that's my whole philosophy is it's just easy fresh makeup that really enhances you and doesn't age you so that's why I wanted to show you all of the decades that I intelligent it really doesn't it is very natural-looking which is what I love yeah so thank you so much for being my model today I'm so happy that you're here my pleasure
