hey everybody good morning here in indianapolis um quick day in town i thought it was a perfect moment to make a little emit one little update video there's not a lot going on this guy just wrecked on his bike uh feel really bad he's up though um he's up he's poor guy just a quick update video i know i have not not been on in a little while you know it's been a slow winter time it's been a quiet winter time for everybody i think understandably but i'm still here i'm still getting ready for 2021 so i'm here in indianapolis today because i've got a quick uh interview with a a company uh called terminus super excited about it they're a fast growing company in the marketing space and so i'm gonna do that and then i'm gonna go to the gym catch up with my trainer jeff at st vincent's um so yeah check it out we'll update to update you guys on what's been happening um and just say hello you know hope you're doing well we're still getting ready for indy car so that's that's really why i wanted to stop by and say hi all right so quick story on this bang okay i don't ever drink energy drinks ever i've had them a couple times in my life the one time that i had an energy drink earlier this well i should say earlier in 2020 we were in new york and i was deathly tired i had to go do an interview i think it was i forget who it was with maybe new york times or somebody and we're getting ready for the indycar season and so i went and i got one of these energy drinks we were at a store and i was like i gotta find something to get some energy and i drank one of these and i've i've never had a better interview in my life for about an hour time period i was at the the peak of my capability and it's actually starting to work for me right now i'm feeling really good about 20 minutes into drinking this thing this is not an advertising it's just something i know that works um so every now and then i may have one just to get going i don't know i thought you should know that it's a weird story i don't endorse energy drinks but you know sometimes they're necessary providing your clients or are you piggybacking off of a software already enveloping it further good morning terminus nation we're midway through already our tko i've got a very special guest with me today a gentleman named joseph newgarden great to be here hey how are you great great thanks for having me it's everything you know i think it's not one ingredient i mean it's it's a full full circle thing yeah i know about account based marketing i know all about it i researched it for the last 48 hours i can tell you everything about account based marketing it's it's not targeted okay it's more specific than that you know we want we want to go spearfishing for the big fish we're not putting on a net we're not just you know maybe trending out to the water and maybe we'll pick a big one up it's like no we're going to identify where's the biggest fish the fish for me and what what type of spear do i need to hit that fish that's account based marketing let's go let's go terminus let's go so the interview went well the interview went fine i think i don't know i was a little revved up um the bang energy works for me i'm going i'm like solid now i can i can run through a wall don't drink energy drinks guys okay only in times of need should you be consuming a little bit of an energy drink also don't run through walls also don't run through walls yeah you can't do that um that seems self-explanatory but uh if you were thinking about doing it don't do it we'll just put a little disclaimer on the video please don't run through walls also wear your seat belt your seat belt highs forward ten and two that's responsibility right there okay hey i just i quickly want to apologize for how i acted on bang energy it's starting to wear off and i just get embarrassed for how energetic i get so sorry we're embarrassed for you very sorry very sorry what are we doing now here good uh so i'm gonna go get a session at st vincent with my guy jeff and then i'm gonna get some pt work done after that let's see my buddy mike i don't might see huddy but he's not in town so yeah we're gonna do that all right so jeff give us some context what are we working on here uh in the off season like where are we at in our phasing so we're at phase three uh first two phases are four weeks apiece this particular cycle what we're working on is being able to maintain max strength and add a bit a little bit more volume into our training as we incorporate more core bracing so a lot of our movements today are going to have more core engagement than we typically do but we're trying to transition it again blend a little bit more into the race fitness side of the equation as we're now really truly entering pre-season adding some endurance yeah yeah we got more time in the car not just simulators but we're gonna be doing some testing coming up with your team so yeah i want to make sure that we're trying to address the race fitness side of the equation start translating some of that maximum strength work into what we'd just consider more functional for the positions that you have to get into the race right yeah see i was going to tell you that but yeah just better explaining it but yeah we work on a ton of strength building in the offseason i like to feel strong in the car and then how do we take that strength as just jeff was saying and make it versatile um you know how does it adapt to you know being in the car those conditions and where's the endurance with it so i'm starting to do that transition so today's a horizontal push-pull we break up our upper body days into a horizontal push-pull and a vertical push-pull so we really like to superset pushing and pulling and with the two different main phases of motion being the you know horizontal motion on the push-and-pull and the overhead push-pull so get it let's go so i need change out of these frames [Music] [Music] all right everybody so uh quick uh wait session was great it's good to catch up with jeff uh i'm gonna go get treated um by mike uh one of the great athletic trainers here as well st vincent's um is definitely one of my favorite spots in indy so i always try and pop in here when i'm ever in town it's just a quick trip so i know it was not an exciting uh emit one today but i wanted to give you guys at least an update i'm still here i hope everybody's doing well i'm getting ready for this season as you've probably heard we've pushed back until april for our start date um i think it's a good decision it gives us more opportunity to get more fans back to the track so i can't wait for the season to start i'm prepping more than ever my team's been doing a great job getting ready we've been staying in touch you know trying to understand how we're going to be better this season so i look forward to hopefully seeing you guys very soon at the racetrack uh and hopefully we get back to full stand sooner
