Adam Savage's Beskar Spear Prop Replica!

hey everybody adam savage welcome to my cave  welcome to a show and tell in my cave and this   piece uh that i want to show you today just  arrived in the mail about half an hour ago   i didn't realize it would show up so quickly  um but it tends to answer a question uh that   i get a lot which is if i'm in a battle  against a lightsaber what kind of defenses   should i have available to me and to that question  i always say get the some best car best car is the   thing you want um i got reached out to by a couple  of prop makers in the uk uh luke and karen daly of   jj industries uk props and costume supply  they are wonderfully obsessive and they   are working on some mandalorian stuff and they saw  i was working on some mandalorian stuff and then   i went and bought some stuff from them and when  they had my order they were wondering if i was   interested in this other piece that they had just  released and they'd put my name on one of them uh   just because they're awesome yeah i know  that's my dog hold on a second she's fine   so uh uh sorry where was i i was at luke and karen  daly uh just meg is gonna be wandering around for   this video luke and karen daly wanted to know  if i wanted this piece and i said i would be also they just honored it to me um they sent me a very sweet letter uh your ethos  and spirit is a guiding torch for us as we try   and embody try to embody and share all the  best qualities this community has to offer   what a lovely lovely thing to say they they go  on much more um but they talk about their work um   oh i appreciate the the kind words and the ethos  very much and whoa check out this awesome blurg   sticker damn that is fabulous i really dig that  okay you've probably guessed what they've sent me is the best car spear and i love the idea that  in addition to my lightsaber collection i'll   now have a vestgar spear dude um it comes in a  close fitting box this is a nice and a custom uh   uh ballistic nylon case so right off the bat nice  and solid product uh and yeah for if you have to   if you gotta you're retrieving for the weekend  you can slam your mascara steel over your shoulder   all right um you know what i'm going  to open this on the bench all right oh i just had to i just had to do a little bit  of that because i drooled reader i drooled all right oh beautiful nice it is a um it's a very  well well machined coupling dude dude there we go last twist here it comes dude dude all right that is a lovely spear point it almost rings oh it does totally rings  wait a second let's see here uh karen and luke this is a beautiful piece oh my  god i'm now wondering what they use on set i mean   it's got to be a hollow tube with a spear tip  on it but you guys did such beautiful work on   the spear tip and the rest of it also by the way  this case lets you think it's just a pool cue case   clearly made specifically for  this product or if not then   amazing fine that is beautiful um karen  luke i i appreciate the gift i really am   sorry karen luke i appreciate the gift  i appreciate more than the gift even   i appreciate more than the gift even the super  kind words and uh the idea that we here have   done anything inspiring to help you along your  path um we are eternally grateful to know that uh   tested we have helped uh so thank you guys  so much yeah i don't have you know well i   got some close-ups i'll take of this but  uh it's pretty straightforward look spear   it's all about the spear well let's be  really clear the spear beats the sword   the spear is way better than the sword i know  this is a weird thing for me to say when i have   like 75's or maybe close to 100 now swords  in my collection but really like all right i   just found out that the spear point comes off  so i may make a traveling one that's hollow   yeah with some yeah i'll just have  to take oh this is beautiful uh just   lovely karen luke thank you thank you thank you  thank you guys for joining me for this uh tested   show and tell and i will see you guys out on the  battlefield all right this is adam signing off bye thank you guys for watching that video if  you'd like to further support us at tested   you can do so by buying some merch from us in  our store a link is below but i wanted to tell   you that for the first time we are releasing a  discounted bundle of tested merch specifically   our original five demerit badges these are ways  in which every maker screws up so we've got the   measure once cursed twice uh releasing the  mysterious blue smoke from electronics and   stopping them from working breaking a drill bit  3d printer going all flags spaghetti monster   on you and my personal most common one  cutting your finger yeah get yourself over to   tested dash store.com and line yourself up  with some demerit badges i'm going to sew   these to my apron that actually  would make a good one day build
