Angus Young plays a great solo and the cameraman is focusing 100% on the rhythm guitarist. I grew up in the 70โs and this would happen all the time. Itโs like the producer had no clue where the music was coming from. I always hated that.
Not many other people truly embodied the rock n roll attitude as much as Bon Scott.
This song is such a God damned banger. It is still on every gym playlist I create, it gets cranked to 11 when it comes on the radio, it is the quintessential AC/DC song. Everybody knows Highway to Hell, Back in Black, Thunderstruck, etc but this is my all time favorite AC/DC track. It got me into guitar as a kid and rock in general. RIP Bon
For me Whole Lotta Rosie is the definitive Bonn Scott AC/DC song
I'm shocked to my core that Angus Young is tee total.
I have a hypothesis that I have called the Farnham Principle. In any 80's pop or rock anthem where an American or British artist will insert a saxophone solo, the equivalent Australian artist will employ the bagpipes. QED.
I remember hearing this for the first time in school of rock and fell in love with the song.
Love this video. This is my favorite video version of this song. Wish the musicians would do do this more. https://youtu.be/-sUXMzkh-jI
If you'd like more, here is my Spotify playlist of rock bagpipes. Please enjoy all the Big Country!
Edit: please let me know if there's anything I'm missing.
It's a long way to the shops if you want a Chiko roll.
