good morning it's another beautiful day uh let's speak today about the tools about my tools i know my tools but i chose them so let's think about the tools here let me change the camera let me grab this camera see if we can yeah so let's start with the from the bottom this is just a basic uh oscilloscope it's nothing special uh costs probably like 40 pound because the old one is up to 50 megahertz and i use i use the oscilloscope only when i have to diagnose that kind of motherboards when everything is fine but it's not powering up like diagnosting that ships the starter chips a tie either no ite wind bond smc chips like that and actually with oscilloscope you can check if you have a clock on the bios chip that's all what i use this oscilloscope and also different but not very not very often it's just a cheap one going forward we have the power supply that's my personal one this is 15 amps zero to put 29 volts it's a powerful power supply it's a linear one on the back i have a big head sink and no fans that's most important no fans so this is very i use this a lot i will explain you on the end why you should use a linear power supply instead of switching one going forward we have the multimeter multimeter is just a cheap one it's nothing special i bought this multimeter because it's a bench one so it's just a cheap one it's nothing special with the multimeter what i am proud of by my hot air machine this is beautiful i never heard about this brand and i bought this hot air machine probably like three four years ago and it's fantastic i never have problems and also before before we use uh replacing the hot air machine like every two three months because they are cheap and they get burned but this one this one is great i can change the temperature or the uh the air pressure so let's see select that's the temperature yeah so i can go now this is not even working anymore or i'm doing something wrong now appreciate probably this is not working anymore but anyway i'm still proud of this so i have the air pressure and when i switch i have the temperature and i can go down from 150 up to 500 but this is great just think i'm using this hotel machine every day and on every job most of every job it's a ata 60 yeah it looks like this button is not working anymore but that's not important important is i'm using this machine for so many years and i never replace the heating element or fix anything anyway going forward we have the second power supply it's a five amps one uh and uh from zero to 29 volts and i have so i cannot adjust the current the voltage even on this one here i have the voltage i'm fine and yeah two buttons for the voltage for two for the amps on the top one the same you can change the voltage let me explain why do you need two power supplies let's say you have a dead motherboard let's say [Music] the 3.3 volts is missing from the salvage from the starter chip so you use 3.3 volts obviously you want to know if only does the problem or the motherboard has more problems and i'm using this power supply i like to power up that shift 3.3 volts and i also am using the big one for 19 volts to see exactly how the motherboard will react so you see sometimes it's i'm using the both power supplies even this power supply is a linear one has a fan on the back but i took out the fan and i put a big bigger heatsink and on the top we have a solder iron this is nothing special it's a cheap one from upland uh it's just like 50 60 watts and it's a big one nothing special and the soldering iron from micro soldering it's just it's a non-branded one from ebay so this is a completely known brand it has a small tip and also i bought more uh more tips for for this older iron the small ones and yeah i'm happy and after that what we have here have my usb my usb things so all these usbs from here comes from like a usb port hub this is cheap it's like six pound on ebay and what i done i left the plus and minus and i cut all the data pins i cut all the data pins and the data pins are soldered together on these five ports so that's perfect for any android device android's enough so this is okay this is for android and these four i left i the data pins i soldered together one with each here not b2 the pins and are connected to this big power supply i think it's like 8 amps power supply same from ebay from china and yeah here i have a usb port meter for this part and from here i have another usb meter which i using i use this a lot this is some if you go on ebay and you check for all led usb power meter you'll find this one this is a great one because because i'll explain why you have the light and you have a lot of things because on the output it give me the data pins on the first pin for apple devices on this one for apple devices and the other one for samsung devices so from my point of view is fantastic and what do i have more here in my microscope microscope i'm very proud of this microscope that's the model of this microscope yeah this is a microscope which i bought it from ebay it's a long arm so i can move it anyway and anywhere and uh it's it's it's i'm happy in the camera the camera let's see if we can focus on the camera yeah that's the camera and the camera is great also i bought the microscope from ebay and the people they have a business on online you can find the cambridge microscope let's go online and check i put this camera back oh yeah it's back so online let's see optics cambridge optics yeah that's the website ah i haven't switched oh one second oh yeah so this is them website but they're also selling on ebay and you know i always buy things from ebay because the only place you can be sure about things is from ebay paying with the paypal account you have a warranty so we bought this from ebay and we choose a usb camera and the usb camera i got probably like 25 frames per seconds and i wasn't happy and we spoke with the man i sent back the camera we bought this this camera the hdmi one and after that the working distance was not enough again i spoke the people they make us a good price and we bought a lens so i'll say i'll recommend these people buying straight from them because you know are fair people and the microscope is great uh even on the if i go on the microscope let's say let's get a board let's get something you see this right what you see on the screen actually on the if you're looking for the microscope it's more white probably it's double double wide so this picture is more wide on the actually the microscope but any tool what you'll buy just keep in mind buy better ones because the tools they will pay in self so it's nothing to worry about the money about the power supply so i want to speak about this let me get a paper and a pen here one second [Music] so let me explain you the linear power supply is just a damp thing yeah it's stupid has no brain when the things is dumb oh hello my coffee one of things is dump you can predict the behavior so let's say in this way compare a switching power supply with a linear one when you have this type of of wave here the wave shape on the power supply here you can see so the power supply goes short and you'll see zero on the on the screen so you know the power itself you have like a impulse of of electric power if you have your signal here will be something like that on a switching power supply you'll see nothing on a linear power supply you will see nothing because this is too short so when you have like you'll you'll have things like a chip who just gets shorted for short period of time like this this is a short one this is milliseconds so on the switching power supply you'll see nothing on the linear power supply you'll see nothing but keep in
