hey guys in this video I'm gonna give you a look inside the Abeka z-- homes whole preschool curriculum so if you want to see this stick around welcome back you guys and if you're new here hello my name is Sarah and I'm homeschooling mom to five kiddos and I like to do videos on home school motherhood organization and DIY so if you like content like that consider subscribing below like I said I'm gonna give you a look through the a Becca's homeschool preschool curriculum so this is for two and three year olds and I'm gonna show you what I personally purchased with this and then kind of how you use it and I'm gonna also link a video in the I cards just kind of showing you how I use this curriculum because I don't really use it to a tee but I'm just gonna kind of show you how I use it and how you can take really any curriculum and make it work for you and your family and then you don't have to stay in a box or help or feel like you're being held down to a curriculum the things that I actually purchased for this was the lesson plans I do really like this and I do kind of use it for the most part with a few things but I like that I have like a guide to kind of show me how to do it the next thing that I purchased with this was the language development teacher guide I really like this a whole lot pretty much which I will show you in a minute are the cards that it comes with and it shows you what card you're talking about and then it gives you like what to say or things that you could say it also has learning games and let's have fun like just little activities that you can add to enhance the lesson to go along with the teacher guide I got the language development visual cards these are really big they're pretty big I really like these these are beautiful this is an example of what the cards kind of look like they each have a different picture on it corresponding to the letter you're working on that week and then so then I'll just kind of show you the inside of the cat's one so this is the lesson plan for the cats and then see like I said it shows you the picture it will tell you an introduction it will tell you what to say and then it has learning more let's talk about it and then it has a couple more things on this side of the page I just have this hung up in our little schoolroom on the whiteboard with magnets and then I just read this to them so that's pretty much how the visual cards and the teacher this teacher guide goes the next thing that I purchased were these animal alphabet friend cards and they they look like this I'll show you want to talk about closer up but this is what one of the animal alphabet cards looks like and pretty much once you start getting into learning letters which is about I think the third or fourth week you will use this every Monday so this will start your week off and there is a corresponding animal to it obviously that's why it's called animal print so you're going to learn that cow starts with C and then it has all of this information on the back it talks about cows it teaches you how to train them to write the letter C then it has all this other information on the back as well I also purchased the throwing up with amber lamb I think these cards are just so darling my daughter loves amber lamb we did this breaking them law about five weeks of it with my daughter when she was three and she loved these cards and the reason why I love them is because they are character building stories for instance the week that we did C we did car one of the days and that same day we took out one of these cards and we talked about why it was important to wear your seatbelt so this is what the back of it looks like it just tells a little story in for instance in this one it had talked about how amber and her little friend button bear here they were in the car and amber didn't even put her seatbelt on at first and then he told her that it's very important to put your seatbelt on and then her mom even told her it's important and then she put her seatbelt on and then it talks about how button had dropped a car and then amber took her seat belt off and got the car and then she got back in her seat but she forgot to put her seat belt on and then they were fighting over the car and her mom slammed on the brakes and even though amber was okay she hit her head so they talked about the importance of you know not fighting in the car and also always having your seatbelt on so I you know I just think these are just sweet little stories that teach really good character development I really love that it's teaching you know younger children about having good character and stuff like that and safety we want kids to keep their seatbelts right and then each one of these has a little scripture on the back of it so I thought it was adorable so this one's children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right so I just love these cards I don't think you really do need these but I personally love them a lot the next thing that I purchased was this child art for threes this just has corresponding coloring sheets will click mostly coloring sheets so you can see they're outlined with the color that you're supposed to color them pretty much goes with the week and whatever you're learning that week the next thing that I purchased is numbers and skills with button bear so pretty much it's pretty much kind of like the other one but you're working on numbers and counting in this one so these are really cute activities to do as well and I also got arts and crafts with amber lamb because my daughter really loves crafting actually all my kids are really crafty so here are the cute little crafts that you do with it so we really enjoy these so inside the book it actually tells you suggested materials you are gonna need the child art with amber lamb the child art for threes the numbers and skills with button bear the letters and sounds for threes I did not get that I think they're just cards I actually did not get that and then the preschool Bible coloring sheets I didn't get those either because I figured I could eat there print something offline and then I also purchase their preschool Bible curriculum so that's kind of why I didn't get that so these ones are essential the visual cards are essential but there's also other things that you can purchase I highly recommend the amberlynn ones I think it's a great thing to get and then it tells you that you're gonna need a box of eight crayons and some glue so I'm going to give you a look at week six and then just kind of show you the materials that I have that you need with it um so you're gonna need all of these language development cards so so you'll be doing Connie cow on Monday and then you'll do the car one which is this one on Tuesday then on Wednesday you do the cat one Thursday you do the camel and then on Friday you do the Canada one and you're gonna get the one with the map because it will show you Canada that's the one and then you'll show them where on the map Canada is so they have a card that has all the continents on it then for skills development it will tell you what worksheets you need to pull out and then it will tell you what days you're going to use them and then here is the phonics and it's just gonna kind of explain to you how would you use it and then down here learn about numbers and then it's gonna tell you which worksheets you will use with these and then like I said whenever you're teaching any of the language development cards you're just gonna reopen to which cards you're teaching and then read out of this so that's pretty much what it is so now I'm just gonna give you a little flip through of this lesson plan this is a twos and threes program so it does have lesson plan for two-year-olds and lesson plan for three-year-olds so let's just look through this all right so here's what the inside looks like so we have all the suggested materials for the two-year-olds then it has kind of the daily schedule what they're expecting you to do so from weeks one to six you're only going to be doing these and then from week seven to forty you're gonna be adding the numbers in to it so you're going to be doing ten minutes of each of these and then on these days and then here's the parent overview for the two-year-olds here are some songs and then poems and finger plays which they do have I'm pretty sure they have like a fingers playbook I did not get that this is just more songs and poems more songs and poems and then we get into the actual lesson plan so for instance this is what you're going to learn on each day it's going to tell you what cards and pages you're going to need but yeah so here's just the first couple lessons so the choose program is a little bit different I can't really tell you what I think about to the two-year-old program because I didn't follow this one I did the three-year-old one so if you skip through half the book it goes into the three year old preschool plans it tells you the materials it also tells you what you're going to be using for it so this one is adding the phonics to it here's the numbers the skills development the art music poetry and fingerplays storytime on this page there are the fun songs you're going to be doing that week and then the poems and fingerplays and each one has like a little theme to it again here and some more has the manuscript formation guide to help teach them how to form letters and then we get into week one where you're gonna first learn the colors for that week and then the corresponding activities that go with it and then skill development you do a lot of the amber lamb this week then week two we're talking about God made me and then they're gonna make like a little booklet of them and then you're gonna learn about God's world you're gonna learn about the different shapes that week and then here the pages that you're gonna be using for child's art for threes so week three is when they're gonna start bringing the animal friends cards in so you're going to learn about phonics sounds so you're going to do all the a one so you have Alexander alligator which is the animal friends alphabet friend card and then these are all the language development visual cards you're going to use you're going to learn about apples ants astronauts Africa and then you're going to take out the map one as well and they're going to show where Africa is on the map and then here are all the fun little things you're going to do a page out of the arts and crafts with amber lamb you're gonna do poetry and finger plays you're gonna be doing growing up with Amber lamb you're going to be doing the preschool Bible coloring sheets and then arts and crafts with amber lamb and then it tells you phonics Monday Wednesday and Friday is when you're going to be doing phonics so you are going to take out this and you're gonna do this and it's going to tell you what to do each of those days so on Monday you're going to learn letter formation on Wednesday you're going to be doing letters and sounds or threes page three and then on Friday you're gonna finish page three and do page five this section is learn about numbers and you do this on Tuesdays and Thursdays you're going to learn counting one two five recognition concepts one two two and then here's what you're going to do for each day so they have Tuesday laid out and it's going to tell you what to do so you're going to point to the number one on your paper and then see the red color around the Apple so it's it's gonna show a picture of an apple and around the Apple it's gonna be red so they know that that's the color crayon they're supposed to use so you're just gonna instruct them pick up your red crayon and color the apple red and then Thursday you're going to work through the paper with the child giving them clear instructions so whatever the paper is you're going to tell them what to do so that's just what it looks like when it starts getting in to the phonics cards and then so on and so on but we really enjoy this program now just a little kind of a flip through through the language development so you have the table of contents and all the things you're going to learn and this is just a little bit of an overview of what it looks like so my personal opinion on this program is I really like it my kids like it right now I'm doing it with my six year old my four year old and my three year old so they're all kind of learning at different levels because of course my daughter is older so she already knows a lot of this stuff but she might grasp a couple other things so I think this is a great curriculum as well to incorporate more than one kid in it and then you could add other activities for your older ones like I do but yeah pretty much that is the curriculum if you like this video and it helped you out please be sure to give it a thumbs up and if you have any questions leave them in the comments below and I will try to answer them and if you like content like this consider subscribing below and don't forget to hit the bell so
