we've been dying to get into abandoned luggage and today guess is our chance are you ready George definitely want to get into all right let's see if it's unlocked on three one for the haters - [Music] a few things you want to have with you when you go to a storage unit auction you got to have cash almost all of them only accept cash you have to have your ID usually your driver's license will be just fine so they can prove who you are and you want to bring your own locks once you buy a unit you own the unit and so you put a lock on it secure your belongings now a couple other things you want to think about when you go to a storage unit option is auctions during the day during the work week are the best auctions the live auctions because there's less people less people means less bids which means you get it for a cheaper price and when you resell you sell it for a higher price profit margin goes up worse the weather which right now it's raining usually the better because nobody shows up they don't like to go out in the rain if it's freezing cold go to that one if it's burning up go to that one let's see what the Hales we can find today what the Hales is your name Erik Erik and you're on YouTube and it's just so happens you're at this auction you what did you just do man so is this your actual first auction and you bought your first unit where'd you learn all these skills alright man how much did you get this for alright and I bought one as well there were only four so we didn't record much but this is what we're gonna focus on so Erik let's see what's inside there and then you get to see what's inside everything there's always a story oh look at you look at you already man okay you got a check for gift cards did you see all the cards they're cash there might be gift cards yeah cash in your first unit okay so okay that may be that's not a credit card there may actually be cash on those so you want to call and check in on those and see if there's any cash that's that Duke and Duchess that's uh I don't think that's a reward card isn't didn't that okay he might have he could have gift cards here which is as good as money that could be interesting gonna be careful of any any pictures looks like a angel oh no sometimes there's money in a man sometimes nineteen old what was mom doing with that what was mom doing with that that's interesting it looks like for something to serve the things that I could do with that right there yeah I got some ideas that'd be awesome that would be awesome Eric got a unit for twenty dollars I got a unit for one hundred and seventy dollars now there were only four units I didn't expect much in this area but this one intrigued me let's open it up let me show you exactly what I saw now one of the key things see this right here sigh five fantasy on the box we always want to be reading the boxes see this sci-fi fantasy right there so sci-fi online eBay usually is a collectible genre that a lot of people pay money for but look at this you see this here this is plastic somebody cared enough to put plastic down on the ground to take care of their collectibles so a hundred and seventy dollars I think we definitely definitely have some nuggets in here what I'm gonna do is load it all up take it back to the warehouse and we're gonna do a nice slow unboxing at the warehouse and find out exactly what the Hales we have see these box labelings here's one that's a store easy access she wanted easy access to that this one store as well there's a lot of store now that could be storage or it could actually be a store I'm guessing store because I have all of her store financials I've already actually loaded those up there's pictures slide I don't know we'll find out once we get into the boxes boxes like this actually make me think it's a store and not just labeled to store it in storage this is the office stuff for store and you got to sort me so I think we have some kind of crazy story here we just don't know what it is yet now that I have everything back at the warehouse we can finally find out what's inside this unit and who the Hales knows what it could be apparently somebody's hoping for safe ready George I'm ready get in the vault this box is labeled robotics what do you think is in here probably a United States robot hopefully it'll start bidding on storage wars for us and do all the hard labor oh that's really not United States it's Imperial I think that's definitely some other kind of letters here wow that's pretty cool are there stamps in there there's some loose stamps where they out oh I just saw some glued to the page there's people on there they're gonna so like there's some stamps right there there's one uh-huh it's pretty cool looks like there's a ton of paperwork here hopefully they can work well probably some of these letters are probably they're just from stamps not their personal paperwork there's a stamp collectors handbook now the one that all here's another one standard postage stamps a MIDI let me smell some of that no smells old now here's a standard postage stamp catalogs so that being said we would never ever recommend somebody getting one of these to help value your stamps this is worthless so these books mean nothing on stamp value value means nothing unless somebody actually paid for it you have the Internet you go online you go on eBay and you find out what somebody actually paid it takes seconds versus minutes if not hours to find something in a book and listed prices in a book mean nothing the only thing that matters is what somebody actually paid and where you find that it's eBay so don't try and value your things based on a book your stance you value your things based on what people are actually paying in the current market and the way that you find that this eBay Wow are these the old ones where they take a picture yeah and they would turn it into a postcard so in the olden days they would take a picture and then that picture was the actual postcard so this is part of their stamp collection they baked too fast look 818 November 24th 1865 this was back when 1865 there's a to sensor on the back of that one why didn't they smile with teeth dad to be so still or the picture would come out fuzzy these are the old postcards with the stamps this is part of their collection holy cow turn over so we can see what's on the back mmm 1866 right there this is crazy there's one on here 1880 no one is what I think I'm reading here 1801 Wow all right here's packets of stamps she's got all kinds of letters the rest are all personal letters yeah but I doubt that they're personal letters to the person they're probably letters with stamps on it that the person kept so let's look here yeah this there's this isn't the actual person they just kept it for the stamp three cents let's see if we can find a date November 5th November 21st year I can't find it you're May 9th look at this May 14th New York yeah all this stuff is from New York somebody must have found this at a garage sale or bought a collection or this is amazing I don't see a year but I had okay yeah this stuff probably all came from a collection that was purchased here can you hold that for a second let's move this back over here all right wow wow wow wow Theresa okay 1940 we've got something that came from Canada this one's Canadian obviously they had international stamps in their collection as well with the Imperial book we got more postcards so postcards will postcards are big time collectors items but so are stamps so you can double it up it's amazing see there's another international airmail stamp collecting this is just alright this is above my pay grade to know these values so we're gonna have to bow wow wow yeah definitely above my pay grade to know the values of these some of these look brand-new never used we're gonna have to find we're gonna have to find somebody knows what they're doing look at this here's another this looks like all international I'm just curious business literature this is you see dates do you think the previous owner of this unit was a reseller and bought things like this Teresa potentially here's one from actor here's one from Greece interesting potentially or just a big time collector let's hope like Hale since they were collecting stamps they were collecting old money and we find old money in here too it would be awful from the 1800s they loved lighting old money alright come on the big money big money big money that doesn't look like old money we never really get into glassware some of the color our viewers do but oh but it's it's Star Wars whoa you said you were wondering if they were reseller they picked this up somewhere probably garage sale for ten cents so you're probably right here's another and they got it for ten cents all right that one's ten cents as well they got that one for ten cents it looks like they went to a garage sale and picked up a whole set for I can't believe that 10 cents a cup you know how much these are worth if you know how much they're worth put your guests down in the comments before we flash the price up on the screen it's Star Wars I was doing research with care mirror collector cups and those were selling at $15 apiece well I can tell you these are worth more than the 10 cents that somebody paid if you find this kind of thing at a garage sale for 10 cents buy it up like just don't even ask questions don't barter just say yep absolutely I'll give you an extra dollar as a tip man this one this one probably is even worth more because it has some of the antique coke in it that's vintage coke coca-cola right there guys that's vintage coca-cola that's a muppet some of the color is faded but still worth something George is a box of your favorite things yes it's labeled framed stuff you love stop we love stuff stuffed crust pizza oh that's not I wanna get to this frame there's a locomotive it's like you and me we've got old papers is there uh is there a date let's see if we can get you people's update all right we've got July [Applause] that's what we have July Palm Beach Florida oh you got something George found something 1984 right there that's August okay okay okay okay okay all right there is a huge market of collectability for maps now I found an old-school map of Ohio in a in a storage unit once and I sold it on eBay for a quick $100 for buy it now when it sells quick with a buy it now guess what that typically means no doesn't mean it's windy it means you completely and totally under priced it although it could be windy when you're under priced it so maps absolutely have to be researched and that could be a ton of money right there of the US Army is there writing on the back there is what do you oh there we go and color by canvas by authentic color 108 and 109 I wonder if they're part of a set there anything else that was it George we found another robot it's a robotic do you know what Bell & Howell is by the guess of this case I'm gonna guess it's some type of projector let's find out if you're right Muslim do the lashes here now the last Bell & Howell that I found in a storage unit I sold on Craigslist for $100 what was it let's find out and three two now is the Robo Matic Bell & Howell projector so this is a projector now the one that I sold was a very very different type of Bell & Howell but this objector as well yeah actually I have one of these on display in in the house in the living room yeah I don't know if you've ever seen it at least I did it might still be there unless you kicked it out so these are really cool people love to go back to the old school vintage look and this definitely has it it doesn't look like we have the cork though we do here it is there it is there's the rest of everything and we have the manual we have absolutely everything so Carrizo that these manuals give the value there is a slide projector this is one of my favorite things to look in when we find an actual storage unit it's an old briefcase got a leather-bound there you ready here we go and oh it says do not wizard oh wait Bally babe this is this is kidding me is there a market for these there's a huge market for this especially with barcodes coming back into well not coming back but bark aids are bringing back the old arcades look at the look at this is that portal no it feels plastic it doesn't have homes definitely plastic look as old as head is correct is there any money hidden in there that would be nice I would love to find a suitcase just filled with money speaking of money how do you know oh there's a slot isn't there Oh federal okay well this is our way to get the money out so we can see what's in there all right I'll see if I can get the money out of here and you go through that there's some crazy yarn we usually typically donate crafts and yarn to the local nursing home for the patients that don't have any family here's some money I think there's a key you guys see this right here okay in this hole right here it looks like there's a key to open this Indy 500 okay look look here's what you do here let me show
