Abandoned Ford Focus Finished !!! Did We Earn A Profit £££

hi everyone welcome back to the channel and a new video on the abandoned fold focus in the last video quite a lot of you actually thought that was the last video i did say right at the end there that we still at the ad all the paint work to do and a couple of little finishing touches so i'm just getting it ready to go to the paint shop and i'm just going around it now just familiarizing myself with all the bits that we want done at the paint shop so that when i get there i can actually show him and he not miss any of it so we've got the rear bumper and the whole thing wants doing there's a few scuffs on this quarter so we're gonna have to have that done anyway this door is fine but does have these bush scratches he'll get them out no problem with the mop that door's fine this front wing a little bit on the front he will only have to blow in blend into that because the whole front bumper's gonna need doing that is just a bit of polish on the bonnet all of it i'm gonna ask him to mop up anyway because it sat outside didn't it in those woods for best part of nine years but yeah front bumper that front wing seems fine there is a little tiny bit there it's gonna want a little touch up driver side door it has got a little tiny car parked thing in it there but do you want to paint the whole door for that i don't know we'll see what he says that back door absolutely fine and this is the most of the damage so we've got then here in the quarter and it's actually scratched all the way up and all the way down so it's both rear quarters back bumper front bumper and the front edge of the front wing so we're gonna get it up to the paint shop get that done come back finish the car off completely and of course crunch the numbers so let's get it out the paint shop and see what it looks like when it comes back i've just arrived at the paint shop guys and he's pretty much getting ready to bag it up i'm not sure if he's removing the headlights or not i don't actually know they are quite easy but if he doesn't there's plenty there to get in there's plenty of gap there so the damage was on that front bumper if we remember and that's actually now it was just on the corners so you can see he's done a little repair here and use some black primer but all of this i suppose is just getting paint and lacquer there was only very minimal damage on it most of the damage was actually down this edge wasn't it and also there was a couple of little dents in this wing chris got out as much as he could and then the guy is obviously repaired it and uh primed that as well down this side all of this does clean off it's already in nice condition so the rear bumper that also was scuffed up and needed some repairs and that boot lid i kind of messed up on grabbing it from ken auto salvage and it actually had a little bit of damage on it here and that's been repaired and then the worst part was that nasty sort of creased dent there had here and that's been done as well and obviously he's going to paint that quarter panel so i've just realized there's some repairs up here i didn't even know that you'd done but they've been done so he's now going to start the process of bagging it all up i suppose and get into it i'm going to go off and leave him and hopefully he's going to give me a call and i'm going to come back when it's ready to paint and we'll try and capture a bit of it so he's all finished masking it up guys and i did just asked about the front wing he said it's primer to there and the back half of it is just scotched off so this this part here will be getting painted and then the whole wing will be getting lacquered so essentially a blend i'm not a painter guys we know that so you know i may be wrong in what i'm saying the whole front bumper's going to be painted and lacquered and then around the back here he said this is all its original paint it's just flattened off it's going to have paint here where the repairs have been done on the primer and then blended into this part of the quarter here and then of course that whole rear bumper had all those little scuffs and bits on it they're all being done and then he's going to spray the whole tailgate so that is all the bits that were marked on it i mean again it's a shame about that bootleg because we might we wouldn't have actually had to have that done so it is a little bit of a shame but they are the only bits on it and after today this car is going to be pretty much there and finished so let's get on with the painting so so so so so so number one he's just drawing that off because he's water-based is that right yeah so so so so so i know you couldn't really hear a lot in there guys it is quite noisy because of the extraction um that's it now he's got to do the lacquer but exactly the same as last time it's highly toxic and uh this mask i got he said just won't cut it i have to have a proper air fed and he's only got one one airline in there to for the air feed or something i don't know so i haven't got one anyway and the lacquer is quite toxic so he's gonna um lacquer that and then we can come back tomorrow and pick it up so so far so good guys this is actually a first for me ever i was really late in a day i've called him up and said as the car baked off he said it as rob but i need to still spin it all up i've asked him to mop the whole car because we've not we've not touched it we've had it washed but we haven't mopped it and it is all kind of flat so that needs doing and i said look we really need to nip this car in the bud get the video finished can i come and pick it up finish my video and drop it off to you and get you to finish it then so we'd really like to get the vineyard video rather finished on this car so i have just been and picked it up it did say that i could put all the grills and stuff like that back in it and i did put the strip across the back with a handle in it and a number plate on it because we really do want to finish the video on this car before i have a little quick walk around it guys i am going to include them pictures of when we bought this car and if any of you have missed that first video check it out i'll get a link for it put in the top right hand corner of the video right at the end so i'll include them now and guys hasn't it come a long way so the front bumper now is all painted right down this side he's going to mop it up for us but he's going to mop the whole car the quarter panel you can see how flat it looks against that new paint but that's all done even the petrol cap there that didn't need paint in a bit of dust on there we'll have that polished back bumper and boot lid have all been painted look at that now compared to when we got it [Applause] and of course this quarter originally i said i wanted him to paint it and he said that scratch is on top of the paint here polish that out no problem and then right down this side and again you can see it needs polishing there and now i've still got a do some little bits and pieces we've still got bits and bobs lying around in them but for the most part now we are going to do the numbers on this and it is the final video so let's go inside and crunch the numbers finally guys the all-important numbers on the focus it has been quite a long time that one but i was just chatting to chris he's just refreshing himself with the notepad and said that was a good one and so many of you really enjoyed it i think definitely if another car like that in the future comes up we'd definitely be all over it so that car is a 2010 60 wrench and it's done 19 000 miles from new and had one owner from no apart from all the uh animals and creatures that have lived inside it so the original purchase price this is not there may be some very minor bits we've missed off here because like i say it has been quite long we just have to find a list to be done for it and then add some bits that we've recently done so 250 pound we paid for that car ken auto salvage you know we got really really lucky there he had so many of them in stock i said look we'd like a parts car we're going to need a dashboard out of it we're going to need the seats the carpets the underlay uh body control module various other bits and bobs i said basically again i do always say it to him and it is true i want to buy all the stuff that you normally leave in the car when you scrap it because i don't really sell interiors unless they're really nice i know quite a lot of you did say that i've put a titanium interior in it and it doesn't make a blind bit of difference it's a titanium interior actually looks a bit nicer than the one that come out of it and that is what was available in that parts car 150 pound he charged just for that and it gave us pretty much most of the stuff that we needed we went to town on it because it had been sat so long we put brand new brake discs and pads on it and that was 90 pound mot again this is not in order was 40 pound the service kit you know we've done a full cam belt service on that car and all the filters no oil etc and that was 140 pound so only 10 pound less than the parts car fuel we put ten pound in it i went back round to ken although's because he had one just come in excuse me with a set of wheel trims on it and i'll give him 20 pounds for those everything all right mate yes we went and had four new matching tyres put on it um they weren't budget cheap ones but they wasn't expensive they were still 168 pound for four tires the paint shop now i said to the painter this is a bit of a budget build we want a nice job but it's not a rolls-royce you know and he said well i'll never do a poor job i said like i said it is a bit of a budget build you know what you're going to charge us and he said i'll look after you and he did look after us because the paint he said here's how much the paint cost me 60 pound and that's exactly what he charged us for the paint 60 pound those two little repairs and to put the paint on 200 quid he really looked after us there and he did say please don't make a habit of doing this which is perfectly acceptable we're not going to so 260 pound for the paint the fuel in the truck it was only the other side of the dartford tunnel we're in kent and it was 20 pound in diesel and 10 pound for the crossings now there was a bit of a technical glitch with that car when i was driving it home from the mot the fuel light come on again and the airbag light come on when i turned it off started it up again when i got back to the yard the fuel light stayed on but the airbag light went out um there was something else i noticed on it i can't remember what it was but something else wasn't working anyway i took it round to dave patrick's and the body control module that i fitted in the car all of the part numbers was exactly the same but it wasn't recognized by the car so they did a bit of programming for us and that cost fifty pound so ultimately was that car worth it one thousand two hundred and eight pound that moses completely done and i think that is a cracking car for that money really cheap chris just said what we're gonna ask for it i said all the money we're gonna ask strong money for that car because i'm sure there's not another one out there that's done 19 000 miles and i've just had a flick through ebay and fault they're probably about two grand maybe two and a half or a nice one i said we're gonna ask two and a half grand for that car but i just looked on ebay there's one on there done 79 000 and it's three nine nine five i think they're taking the mick we want two and a half grand for it and that's exactly what we're going to ask for it and that cars that nice with them that mileage on it new brakes full service all spun up all looking lovely it's gonna have a couple of little marks around it it is a 11 year old car but for the most part i think that's going to be a nice car for two and a half grand it's not for sale at the moment guys i did say i've got a few little finishing touches to do as soon as it is for sale i will advertise it on instagram probably at some point next week and 1292 pound was it worth it absolutely it was worth it just to hear people saying there's no way you can get that car back on the road that is atrocious it just might it just makes us work even harder so it's really nice it is back on the road and did we did we do it for content no it was lovely on the mileage and if i wasn't recording youtube videos we'd have still cracked on and got that card
